Stopped @ Bella’s on a warm Saturday afternoon for a sweet treat.
Recommended, by a friend while spending the day in Bayside. A local neighborhood ice cream shop, small but enough room to grab & go or take a stool and enjoy. There are a plethora of flavors to choose from in either gelato or Italian ice. Of course taste and preference is suggestive, some flavors where better then others.
After a few samples, I settled on a two scoop cup of hazelnut and cannoli gelato. The staff of a young teenagers were pleasant and efficient.
Cool spot to have in rotation for cool summer treats.
Just A Note:

4.5 stars for the gelato. I got the hazelnut. It was so strong it's almost like they just crushed up hazelnuts alone and turned it into a creamy ice cream ?. Was disappointed that a lot of the flavors I saw online weren't there. Their ice cream selection is not the biggest.
They could also use a replacement for the cashier. Not the friendliest at all. But the workers who scooped the ice cream did a good job.
The ice cream is pretty simple. Not too sweet. The selection is also pretty simple. You won't find anything crazy like with swirls, nuts, sprinkles and the whole shebang. Maybe they should step out of their comfort zone and make something like that lol. If you're a plain Jane, this is the place. I'm more of an adventurer and this place just doesn't test those limits for me. Slightly creamier/sweeter icecream would nice too. I just like the fact that it's homemade so I know there's not going to be 20 names of ingredients I can't pronounce like if you go to Baskin etc.

$7 for a one scoop cone! Greedflation at its rotten best. Working families can’t afford an ice cream cone that tops some Manhattan prices.A ring side lesson in how to corrupt what was once a simple pleasure within reach for many

best ices and gelato outside of Italy
Now under new ownership. I haven't tried it since the change.
I've been coming here for years as a local, ever since it was "Pesso's Ice Cream". I love the variety of flavors they have and the availability of both ice cream/gelato and Italian ice.
The service could be more consistent. For the most part, the workers are friendly. They're patient and allow unlimited samples regardless of how busy it may be. However at my last experience, the worker was not very welcoming. From the start of my visit all the way to check out, she was not polite. She did not ask me if I had a reward system with the store (which I DO) and immediately skipped the option herself on the pinpad. I had to intervene to tell her I had a point system, and then she tells me it's too late because I already swiped my card. No apologies at all either.

Such a treasure in the bayside area. So many unique flavors. We tried 6 different flavors and they were all amazing. Honey yuzu was perfection. Mint chocolate chip ice cream was so creamy. Cotton candy icy was so light and delightful. Fudge brownie was irresistible. Highly recommend.
