Spanglish NYC – Bayside
Spanglish NYC in Bayside offers a vibrant mix of Latin American and Spanish-inspired dishes with a modern twist. The menu includes flavorful tapas, fresh ceviches, tacos, and creative cocktails that bring a lively, festive vibe. The ambiance is trendy and casual, making it great for casual dinners or social nights out. Service tends to be friendly and attentive. Portions are reasonable, and prices are moderate. Overall, Spanglish NYC is a solid spot for those looking to enjoy bold Latin flavors in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

This is a very small but well decorated little place on Northern Blvd. in Bayside. We came in for their lunch special and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and drinks. Their margaritas , as expected, were quite good as was their guac and chips appetizer. Their lunch specials start with house salad (delicious dressing) or soup (chicken today, very hearty & good!) We enjoyed the grilled salmon (with morita sauce, mashed potatoes and avocado) and tilapia offerings (a nice sauce on top, see photos). Good portions and cooked to our liking. We ended with churros (with Nutella sauce!) and flan, both tasty and sweet. Service was quick and friendly, so we will definitely return to our new neighborhood Mexican place!

On behalf of The Center for the Women of New York, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Spanglish for their generous and delicious donation of enchiladas de pollo to our Taste of the World at Fort Totten gala.

Spanglish’s enchiladas de pollo were a true crowd-pleaser—tender shredded chicken wrapped in soft corn tortillas, smothered in a rich, savory sauce, and topped with melted cheese. The dish was bursting with authentic flavor and warmth, and it was clear that each component was prepared with care and tradition in mind. Our guests couldn’t get enough!

We’re so grateful for Spanglish’s continued support and commitment to our cause. It’s because of dedicated local businesses like theirs that we’re able to raise essential funds to support women across New York. Their generosity year after year makes a meaningful impact on our community.

We highly recommend Spanglish for their mouthwatering Mexican cuisine and their unwavering generosity. Thank you for helping make our event a success once again

The food here rocked. I came on a Tuesday, and was able to get take part in both the taco and guacamole deal. Flavorful, fresh, and fast. Highly recommend for a cute date or meal on your own!

Been here a couple times with friends, good casual drink spot on bell. Music is always at its top volume whether they’re busy or not so can be a little annoying when sitting inside. No AC so best to go on a colder day or else you’re gonna end up with as much sweat as the water in your glass. Would Never recommend the food. Everytime we have eaten there whether it’s myself or the people i’m with, we always end up sick and throwing up the next day. This was my final straw. Is there no quality checking in the restaurant? Is there no ownership to make changes? I’ve also had problems with mistakes by the waitress / bartender saying we ordered drinks which we didn’t and being charged for their mistakes. Especially with how much you guys charge for drinks. Until something changes, definitely lost a group of loyal customers and won’t be recommending aswell. Hopefully this is a wake up call and nobody else ends up sick from this food.

big serving sizes and apps were really good. ceviche mixto was so yummy, great balance of sour! the tortilla salad was yummy but def could go without. just a well made salad. mains were definitely on the heavier side but good eats regardless. birria was pretty gamey compared to other birria.
def recommend drinks

The customer service here is seriously lacking. The owner doesn’t even bother responding to negative reviews—instead, they flood the page with fake five-star ones to drown out the constant stream of bad feedback. That alone says a lot. The bartender (a heavy set Spanish guy in his mid-40s) was totally unprofessional. But what really pushed us to leave was the evening waitress (a heavier set woman), straight up rolled her eyes at us and walked away while I was mid question. Completely disrespectful. We walked out and won’t be coming back. I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I went to eat around 11/12(An hour before they close which they confirmed won’t be an issue over the phone), and right away the waitress seemed unfriendly. The music was so loud we had to yell to talk. We politely asked the bartender if it could be lowered since the place was nearly empty, but he brushed us off. When we asked the waitress, she agreed with an attitude. It would’ve made sense for the music to be that loud if the place was jam packed with people since it turns into a lounge at night but never did we go to a lounge/restaurant with an open kitchen who blasted music like we were at a club especially when it’s empty and about to close. - So given how there were only a few people there who came there to EAT, not dance, and they were closing soon, it didn’t make sense why they made a big deal about the music. Because it was unnecessarily loud. Why would anyone wanna dine at a place with music as loud as a club, when there’s literally almost no one there and the place is literally a restaurant.

We tried combining two small tables for more space since it wasn’t busy and we planned to order a lot, but the waitress kept separating them without saying anything. When we politely asked to keep them together, she rolled her eyes and said “whatever” before walking off.

When we told the bartender she had an attitude, he immediately defended her without even knowing what happened. No manager was available either.

Terrible service—I don’t recommend this place at all.

Just make sure you ask for sauce if you’re picking up. Its not obvious to the person placing the food to put sauces in the bag.
