I have been a loyal customer at Taverna Kyclades in Bayside for over 10 years, consistently ordering from them at least once or twice a month. While I usually grab my food to-go after work to enjoy comfortably at home, the quality and taste never disappoint.
The absolute standouts for me are their grilled calamari (squid) and the classic Greek salad—they are simply the best around and a must-order every single time.
I did notice that their online ordering system has changed recently and is no longer hosted directly through their own in-house website. However, the new platform is still incredibly user-friendly, making the entire takeout process just as smooth and convenient as before. If you are looking for consistently delicious, comforting Greek food with hassle-free ordering, I highly recommend this place!

What happened???!! The food used to be bomb. Today, it was dry and lacking flavor. We didn’t finish our lobster tails it was that bad. Great service. Waiters were kind and accommodating.

Loved this restaurant. very Accessible for a wheelchair user. Large area not cramped like the one in Astoria.Food was delicious as Always. My mom had the salmon steak that was very large and tasty. Lemon potatoes are great. I had baby shark that is also very tasty. Drinks are good but not very strong. sangria is tasty.

harsh review from me because i got food poisoning after eating here. my main gripe is that the restaurant boasts seafood but their land entrees are way better. i’m assuming some of their seafood is not the freshest… their branzino was kind of mushy and tasteless, which leads me to believe it had been frozen for some time. i noticed far too late that our table was missing what i think was olive oil? i saw others using it to douse their fish but i didn’t have the opportunity. the grilled octopus was the only seafood dish i didn’t regret ordering.

We went with friends from Pennsylvania, a group of 12, and everything we ordered was amazing. From the start, the team made our visit special: • Arif, the manager, welcomed us and made sure everything went smoothly. • Markella, our server, was super attentive and friendly, explaining every dish with enthusiasm. Angel and Julianna, the bartenders, made perfect wines and cocktails to go with the meal.
What we tried: Grilled octopus tender and perfectly seasoned. Fried calamari crispy and light, perfect for sharing. Fresh fish of the day cooked perfectly. Lemon potatoes and Greek salad classic sides that go with everything. • Dips like tzatziki and taramosalata great for sharing. • Galaktoboureko – an amazing Greek dessert to finish the meal. The place has great energy and is perfect for large groups. Even though it was busy, the service was quick, and we felt very well taken care of. Portions are generous, and the value for the quality of the food is excellent, especially considering how fresh the seafood is and how well every dish is prepared. PñIf you’re looking for authentic Greek food, fresh seafood, and a warm atmosphere, Taverna Kyclades is a must-visit. Our experience with our friends was unforgettable, and thanks to Arif, Markella, Angel, and Julianna, every detail was taken care of. Walked in with two kids while the kitchen was clearly open. The manager immediately claimed it was “closed.” When I asked about takeout, suddenly the kitchen was open again.
When I calmly asked how the kitchen could be open for takeout but not for dine-in, the manager couldn’t answer, got flustered, and walked away in mid-conversation. Extremely unprofessional.
Rude staff, zero accountability, and poor management. Avoid this place.
