I have really loved going there. The only complain would be the side salad. The Caesar dressing is awful and they have no ranch dressing. The steaks are good, but we are from Kansas City, so there's that. The meatloaf and other meals have been very good and we go on a fairly regular basis.

Going only by this last experience I'm guessing the staff and kitchen were overwhelmed due to the mid-week specials. Wife and I showed up about 6:30 ordered the starters and our main meal. About 45 minutes later the main course came out I asked the server What happened to the starters? Well with half a mumbled excuse he went back in the kitchen then a different server came out and placed the starters alongside our main meal and jokingly said oh good look now you have all your food at once Needless to say by the time we were able to eat both the starter and the main course, everything was cold. No one else ever came to the table to offer an apology. Like I said it was just an off night but it was disappointing

Our first visit there in 15 years. It was a pleasure seeing Richie, who used to manage Mims in Syosset. We went for the prix-fixe special. It was a fabulous meal, with portions I did not expect on the prix fixe night. I had the Sauerbraten short ribs. They were just delicious and a very generous portion. My wife had Chicken Schnitzel which she loved. For starters I had the Pretzel Baked Brie, always one of my favorites. This did not disappoint. My wife had the pierogies, which I also tasted. They were excellent. Service was above par, our waitress was extremely personable. Overall, this was an outstanding dinner experience, and we will be back in much less than 15 years, probably next month. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had dinner on a Friday night, and the restaurant and bar (very noisy) were packed. Restaurant service was quick and efficient. Although our waiter was definitely pushing add ons( Appetizers and dessert) and drinks. I was very disappointed in the calamari appetizer for $18...maybe 8 pieces of calamari, and the flavor was ok. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and a side salad. I was served two small tacos with hardly any filling. and a salad that was rather wilted. Overall the food is good, but not this time. The prices have increased and the portions have gotten smaller.

One of our favorite restaurants. Try the scallop risotto, the southern fried chicken, the lamp chops, the chicken pot pie . . . hell, close your eyes and put your finger on the menu and order whatever it lands on.

We went to catch up with friends but were unable to really do so without constant interruption by our over exuberant waiter. I know that would normally not be a bad thing but he constantly interrupted our conversations & hovered when it was apparent that we weren't ready to give him answers, made suggestions to speed up the order process when we didn't ask for suggestions... It would seem more as an attempt to keep us on track to leave by a certain time than to really be helpful. Although I could be mistaken on that, I'll trust my instinct & assume this pushiness came from above. Our time could not have been more unrelaxing & we never got to finish one thought process with our friends. Once our check came the hostess retrieved our coats & gave them to our waiter who stood on the side-lines rather than giving them to us so that even at that point we could not feel comfortable continuing our conversation while our dinner settled. It was like "What's your hurry? Here's your hat!" Food was ok... Lobster Ravioli sauce was too heavy. The Chicken Francais was delicious according to my husband. Enjoyed the Tuscan Calamari. Too bad we were not left to truly enjoy our food. I have to say the going out to dinner process should not be eat & get out... The whole idea is to have a relaxing dinner with friends. Was very disappointed. Made it a waste of our time and money! Probably won't be back.
