It was our first time dining there and it was fantastic! The food was excellent, the service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. It's a smaller place but that makes it more intimate and great for date nights or for a special occasion. I had asked for a special request on my booking to make the night a little extra special for the Mrs, and they executed AND exceeded all expectations! Will definitely be coming back!

Mesculin salad was outstanding Two of our group ordered chicken fra diavlo and two of us had different fish. We all were very happy with our entrees and had one order of pasta Bolognese to split and the sauce was thick and flavorful. Had 2 desserts chocolate lava cake and pistachio and loved both

Pasta was extremely salty — both my friend and I couldn’t finish it. When we mentioned it to the server, they just said “that’s how it is” and didn’t offer any solution. No one refilled our water until we asked. Later, while clearing the table, the server accidentally dropped a fork with sauce on my pants and didn’t even apologize. Very disappointing service overall.

the lamb here? Crazy good — grilled to perfection, like they know what they doing. The pasta hits, cozy vibe, and the people are real friendly. Walk out full and happy.

In the Hotel they told us: Never had a bad meal at Cafe Amarcord. We just can confirm this. All the four of us were super satisfied. Waiter was attentive and professional, the food was awesome, the wine over the top. We will come again!

The ambience and service are very good but the food is very inconsistent and overall lacking in flavor. Enoteca AMA their restaurant across the street is great but this one always falls short IMHO.

A wonderful dinner on our first night in Beacon, NY. Our waiter Sam was friendly and attentive, and also introduced me to Orata which I had never tried before. Simply delicious–everything was delicious! A great start to our weekend trip to the area. Cafe Amarcord comes highly recommended.

The pasta here was amazing. Authentic Italian and amazing combination of flavors in one dish. The prime rib was perfect. The squid ink pasta with crab was u real. And the seafood stew? Perfect.
