Absolutely one of our favorite brunch spots! Excellent food, the biscuit’s & gravy is a must…The fennel sausage in it is the star of the show! The local greens salad is fantastic, cocktails are well balanced and made with care.

A nice place to try. They need to expand their menu. A louder then we care for.

Everything here is fabulous. The porterhouse was perfect. Get a reservation a few days in advance or your only option might be trying to grab a seat at the bar.

We came to this restaurant a month ago. The food and the cocktails were good, as was the atmosphere, and the waitress was delightful.
So we gave it another shot.
I booked a reservation several days ahead. I specifically asked for a table close to the window side, as I do not like sitting next to kitchens: the room is acoustically lively, there were tables very near to the kitchen entrance, and the sound of dishes, pots and pans crashing around are exaggerated due to my hyperacusis. I also pointed out that it was our 29th wedding anniversary.
They gave me the table that was closest to the kitchen.
They said a table away from the kitchen would not open up for another three hours, even though I reminded them that I specifically asked for a table towards the window and away from the kitchen.
It was so not what I wanted that it felt that they did it on purpose, especially when the manager(?) actually made a joke about it!
I would have simply left, but my wife was hungry so we stayed and I put a piece of napkin in one ear.
The waitress - Shelley? Sherry? Sophie? - was super terrific. Everything else was fine.
But I doubt that I’ll be back. These kinds of experiences - caused by a lack of attentiveness to the entire dining experience - tend to leave a permanent mark. And, though we spent real money - I believe that the tab with tip cleared $200 - clearly the manager with the delightful sense of humor does not care: there are zero responses by him to other negative reviews. Seems like at least one Beacon establishment is trying hard to emulate the snootiness of some of NYC’s finer dining establishments. After living in lower Manhattan for 45+ years, we thought we were coming up here in part to get away from all of that.

My wife and I had an amazing meal with impeccable service! They were fully packed yet it was as if our needs were anticipated so we never had to ask anything. Drinks are top tier, food was amazing, oysters were fresh, deserts were very well done. We spent probably double what we did the night before at another in town spot simply because the service was so great!! Would 10 out of 10 recommended.

Superb food: local lettuce salad on the menu came with at least 4 -5 types of the freshest lettuce on the planet. Portions quite ample aka fabulous. Slices of apples and pepitas added different flavors and textures. Oil and vinegar dressing: just the right amount to enhance the salad and not overpower.
Daily special of salmon over Asian umami cucumber pieces in a creamy sriracha sauce that did not give me heartburn so it was just the right amount of spice. I would go to Beacon just for this salmon dish. Salmon was cooked perfectly with the skin - which was salty and yummy. The penicillin soup- aka matzoh ball soup was an excellent house made chicken soup with chicken etc. the matzo balls needed salt and white pepper!
There is an extensive beer list as well as a very good wines by the glass ( and bottle). The wine on tap last night was a Sauvignon blanc and it was excellent. Slightly tropical fruit, minerality goes well with spicy food and fish.
Service was friendly, warm, professional and accommodating. Only down side - the dining room is quite noise. But I’d still go back on a busy night. Everything else is THAT GOOD

We gathered here to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and I had already previewed the menu so I knew what I was looking forward to.
The atmosphere was buzzing with life—stylish, well-dressed guests mixed with more casual “dad-bod chic” types. The setting has that trendy, small-city vibe where people-watching is half the fun, both inside and out.
Based on the reviews, I decided to dress up a bit. You could easily get away with a T-shirt and jeans, but I’d recommend at least a collared shirt if you want to match the vibe. Of course, you do you.
The place was lively and packed, so I highly recommend making a reservation. That said, I did notice they were accommodating walk-ins and even seating people at high-top side tables.
Service was impeccable from start to finish. The menu offered mains, sides, and signature cocktails, along with a well-curated wine list.
I ordered an espresso martini with mezcal—smooth, balanced, and delicious. Others in my group went for bottles of wine. For food, I had the mushroom tartine and a strip steak. Both were spot on: the tartine crisp and savory, the steak perfectly cooked to a juicy medium rare.
Everything was excellent, and I’ve already told friends we’ll be returning soon.

Came to the neighborhood of Beacon and was excited to try this place with my family. Love the atmosphere of the restaurant but as soon as we stepped in the entrance, the staff / server came up to us and turned us away - told us that the kitchen was closed at 9pm when the restaurant actually closes at 12am. I guess what other reviewers said is true - They do pick & choose who they want to serve. Horrible way to treat new customer!
It’s alright, we don’t need to try the food.

Absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we sat down, everything just felt right—the atmosphere, the service, and oh my goodness, the food. Every single dish was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive, balanced and refreshing, the kind that make you want to order another round just to savor them again.
My buddies Corey and Luke were practically in tears at the table because the food was that good—it’s not often you see people get emotional over a meal, but this place delivered on every level. We couldn’t stop talking about it the whole night. If you’re looking for a spot that truly nails food, drinks, and overall vibe, this is it. Can’t recommend it enough—we’ll definitely be back!
