Can I be honest? I miss maxes on main… so it’s a tough comparison. The live music was great. The staff may have been low the night we went, because our waitress would disappear for what it seemed like eternity. The food was just ok, small portions and the burger was ordered medium rare and served raw. I feel like they’re trying so hard to be an upscale mini manhattan joint - and that’s really not what beacon needs. In my personal opinion- which I know you all asked for...

My girlfriend and I had dinner here in the Summer, and I have been meaning to write a review ever since. The experience was...perfect. The decor, atmosphere, the server, the service, and the absolutely delicious food. But the piece de resistance was... The Biscuit. We couldn't even speak; we just smiled because we knew we were experiencing the Biscuit of All Biscuits. Did I mention how wonderful and gracious the owner is!!

Absolutely one of our favorite brunch spots! Excellent food, the biscuit’s & gravy is a must…The fennel sausage in it is the star of the show! The local greens salad is fantastic, cocktails are well balanced and made with care.
