Over priced mediocre ramen. The server was nice and Vibes are cool. My friends liked the “small plates.” Charged“extra fee” for party over 6 when we sat at separate booths. Each booth only seats 6, we were offered no option for a party of 9 to sit together . We sat at booths across from each other. I have gone here a few years back and This place was never like this before. Disappointed that nothing was done when I pointed it out. Said a “cash discount” is offered. “Credit card fee” was $10 more than bill. This should be illegal. If I wanted to be charged Manhattan prices, I would have gone there. Again it wasn’t like this on prior visits a few years back. Never going again.

Cool place. Very cozy and inviting environment to come and kick it for a while.
Food is pretty good too.
But MAN, what is up with the bartender?! No greeting, very little eye contact, even less words. Non existent service. The other two FOH staff members seemed very outgoing, which was a nice buffer. It was almost comical, like I was in a 90s rom com where there’s the completely indifferent and unenthused bartender who hates you for being a patron.
Which honestly…not a huge deal, but it just became uncomfortable after a certain point. Homeboy was either in the worst mood of his life and we caught him on a bad day or he’s just not fit to be bartender. In any event, maybe I’ll go back and kill him with kindness. It’s my life goal to get this man to look at me and….smile?

We were visiting from out of state, starving and were hopeful due to reviews. We walked in, were not greated. There was a waiter who stared at us, did not acknowledge us and walked back and forth pretending to be busy. After 10 minutes of no acknowledgment we left. Poor service super disappointed.

Ramen was too salty and my table felt rly bloated/not well after eating the ramen. I threw up in the bathroom.
Very unique ramen bar — great food, great service, and great value. And the black sesame broccoli was delicious.

The bartender was aggressive and rude. As a matter of fact, they held a knife while being aggressive, which forced my friend and I to leave in fear. I will never go back again.

This is definitely my favorite spot in Beacon. The retro vibe and moody lighting set a great atmosphere, whether you’re dining in or just grabbing a drink. I always go for the chashu ramen, sweet potato fries, and the Plum Blossom cocktail—flavorful, crispy, and perfectly balanced. It’s a place I keep coming back to.

A good little Japanese spot. The food is decent, not amazing but solid. The value felt a little low, with dishes like the donburi having just a few pieces of chicken and some uncooked broccoli. That said, they have a happy hour from 5-7 that’s worth stopping in for and you get $1 off a few dishes.

Great food, wish they were more upfront digitally about the kitchen being closed at 10pm instead of just positing it on their door. Tried calling ahead to see, no answer :/. But for food I recommend the miso ramen with chasu.

This place is a vibe and I can see the attraction. Dim & cozy, with a nice bar, a spot for a band to play and a good selection of beers on tap and in cans. The food though… disappointing or lack-luster. There’s a Japanese menu of ramen, rice bowls and small plates. I was actually very excited for it. We order small plates of shishito peppers, Chatsu pork bun, crispy tofu and takoyaki. All good. The crispy tofu was the best. The pork on the bun was dry, the peppers were okay and the takoyaki was okay. Nothing special happening. We ordered one rice bowl, five different ramen, and smalls plates of potato croquettes and karaage for our entrees. The eggs in all of the ramen were cold. Presumably, they make them ahead of time. The problem was that the broth for the soup was t warm enough to heat the eggs through. Same with the mushrooms in the veggie ramen - cold in the center. The rice was just okay, which is kinda the feeling for the entire meal. It wasn’t bad, just okay.
I recommend going for the beer, sake and small plates selection.
