The restaurant and lounge are stellar! 10/10 birthday location. The duck confit was amazing, as were our cocktails. Be sure to leave room for dessert! Cappuccino and opera cake were 👌🏽🏆
The Roundhouse does chic and comfortable so well. I was thrilled to discover that due to availability I had been clandestinely upgraded to a creek view and, as a fan sleeper, slept hearing the natural and beautiful white noise of the creek. The rooms are so quiet, luxurious and comfortable.
While the restaurant was closed for the evening I stayed the lounge was fantastic and the service was warm, knowledgeable and friendly.
I leave feeling grateful, refreshed and eager to come back.
The location is great and the decor of the room is beautiful but the positives stop there. First of all, the staff was unfriendly (no smiles, short answers, little guidance on local things to do when asked). She just seemed bored. Next, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I’ve traveled all over the world and this might be the worst bed. There are hard devices inside the pillows (why?) and because there is no area rug (and no slippers offered), I heard every step in the room upstairs from me until 2a (and their conversation too). Breakfast is a solid 3/5. The bagels and yogurt are nice, but without real utensils, it felt like a cheap meal. No lounge/lobby bar (unless there was and no one told us) and no real amenities. I wouldn’t stay here again.
We had a wonderful two-night stay over the long New Year's Weekend. The hotel is truly a lovely find, great location, clean spacious rooms (in the Mill House), excellent amenities.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the restaurant. We booked dinner on Saturday Jan. 3 and arrived to what we hoped would be a special evening. Ambiance and decor were beautiful. Table was perfectly situated near the window with a stunning view -- yes, even after dark -- where the lights on the creek and the falls create a dramatic effect. While the service was excellent, the food fell short. Not enough to complain about at the time, but disappointing nonetheless. Honestly, hotel is definitely a 10 out of 10; restaurant maybe 5 out of 10, though perhaps it was just an off night for the kitchen?
After capturing many events at Roundhouse, experiencing their staff and food, I cannot say enough great things about them! The location is so convenient, the rooms are beautiful, the food is remarkable and the staff is great! If you are looking for a Hudson Valley wedding location, this is a wonderful one!
I visited the Lounge last month and had a wonderful birthday dinner. Kris took care of us and was an absolute delight; we enjoyed the food, service, ambiance, and sitting by the cozy fireplace to finish our drinks. We also had dinner here a few months earlier to celebrate our engagement and had a fabulous experience; this is now our go-to place whenever we have a special occasion to commemorate!
For the price I’d expect a different level of service and food. The food was cold and service very amateurish. 👎🏻
Is a very beautiful place for a date, the views and atmosphere is perfect for that! Food is tasty, good portions and nice presentation. Service is also attentive
Our car battery died in front of The Roundhouse at 11pm on a freezing night. Kris (sp?) came to our rescue and used her car + jumper cables to bring our car back to life so that we could drive home to brooklyn. Without Kris we would’ve been stuck in the freezing cold. Thank you so much, Kris!
Amazing place, The closest thing to nature, having dinner or lunch watching the waterfalls and rapids, is priceless.
Also the plates have a good presentation and better taste

The atmospere was incredible, and our table in the main room had the perfect view of the river surrounded by the fall foliage which set the tone. We enjoyed a delicious bottle of Rioja and loved the bluefin tuna starter, which tasted fresh with the yuzu ponzu.
The octopus with chorizo and beans had a perfect texture, though the flavors were a bit more muted than expected. The smoked St. Louis ribs were messy but absolutely worth it with its rich, smoky, and delicious flavors. Service was attentive and friendly throughout.
The location is also fantastic as we loved being able to stroll Main St afterward and explore the small shops. Overall, a wonderful experience and we’d love to try some dishes again in the future
Went to a wedding at the Roundhouse. The venu was beautiful. The food (appetizers and main course) was delicious and cooked to perfection.
I didn't stay there but I did have the food on three occasions over a wedding weekend. Honestly, everything was wonderful. Tasty appetizers, excellent dinner fare. The atmosphere is charming, old industrial. I had a fine time.
Service all around was off. We didn’t receive utensils with our food, the food and drinks were both lacking in flavor, and the host seemed uninterested in engaging with us. The vegan pasta we ordered was not worth the price, and I would heavily dissuade vegans/vegetarians from ordering it in the future.
Terrible service at the restaurant. The food took an hour to come out. When we asked our server to check on our food, it was very obvious that they forgot to put in our order. By the time the food finally came, the steak was over cooked and not medium rare as request! We ended up missing our reservation at fishkill farms because of this lunch.
