Food: they take classic middle eastern dishes and reduce them to the cheapest execution possible, the Hummus is worse that supermarket brands, the lamb is dry and pitta is not authentic Service: hit or miss, understaffed and unprofessional at least when I went there Ambiance: It is a small place like place, hard to be intimate or to be considerate to other diners. I would skip this one

Ziatun is a warm, friendly, family owned restaurant with delicious food and a beautiful ambiance. Ziatun is one of the places that first attracted me to Beacon and has been a favorite ever since! Highly recommended.

This is the place. Everything is delicious (start with futur medley), and the service and atmosphere is great.

A little pricy, but their falafel burgers and their veggie platters are amazing! They also have great zattar fries! 10/10

I would lay down my life for Ziatun and their entire staff. The best you can get. Ziatun hummus, falafel, and atmosphere heals all wounds. I love this place more than words.

The food here is really good; they have a lot of unique dishes, and the atmosphere is quite nice. The place is small, so plan to wait on a busy night. One issue is largely with the service, which can be hit or miss. Many of the people who work there are exceptionally nice, but there are some people are rude. The owner himself can be a bit caustic at times, but he's a generally good guy (he owns/has owned a number of places in Beacon and as you can often see in his responses, he carries a bit of a chip on his shoulder). My other main issue is that for what it is, despite being quite good, is very expensive, especially for very small portions. So, if you like to eat light or go with small plates, and you are an easy going person, it's worth a shot. I probably only go here 1-2 times a year because it's just too expensive for a regular thing for me. Also, if you pay with card, they charge an extra 3-4% (fees for CC companies can get very expensive, so I get it), so try to pay wit cash to save a few bucks. Also, watch out for hidden service charges. They've been known to sneak those in there, and people accidentally tip even more.

Food was excellent, but seating was a bit tight. All in all it was a good time.

First of all, we are huge fans of middle eastern and Palestinian cuisine and have visited Jordan and Palestine before. The customer service and attitude is by far the worst one can imagine. Enforcing a mandatory gratuity of 20% for a party of four or more is beyond greedy. Plus we were just a party of two (me and my spouse) so they were not even allowed to add that high tip as per their own policy). What's even worse, I'm in a wheelchair and the restaurant not only is not accessible at all (steps), they don't have a ramp and none of the staff is even considerate and willing to help a disabled guest enter and leave the restaurant. Please check out the photos below: they show both the merchant and the customer copy which clearly prove that we did not authorize them to charge the tip because of aforementioned reasons. Yet, as you can see in the credit card excerpt, they charged the full amount so either they intentionally falsified the receipt afterwards or just charged more than they were authorized to. THAT IS CRIMINAL AND ILLEGAL !!!!

Stumbled upon this place with friends on my trip to NY. Really love middle eastern food and really wanted to love it. The staff was rude to my friends and I found hair in my food ... flavor was not bad but for the cost, vs. quality and service we received this is a no.

Enjoyed my food here a lot!! The presentation was great and the food came fast. Lots of flavor. Tasted authentic as well. The inside was cute and small. Little seating but felt cozy. Restaurant was right downtown along with other shops and restaurants.

Despite being a Pro-Palestenian Restaurant we were treated poorly, and frankly felt a bit of racism. White guests were given priority over me and my wife, and waitstaff were very indifferent to us. If you want quality service, and overall basic decency don't bother visiting this establishment.
