You don't want to miss eating at Restaurant 1915. Really good food and staff. Beautiful location.
Don't ever plan a reservation at Bear Mountain Again. There service is totally unacceptable. They take over 2 hours to serve meals and then get the orders wrong. The manager present seats working on his computer and does pay any addition to any problems and does nothing to help. He should be fired. The kitchen is unacceptably slow and the food is cold when delivered.
Excellent food, friendly service and so well organized We will definitely be going back!!!!
Had a really nice time! Easter Buffet was enjoyable! Service was good, food was delicious and everything went smoothly! Love the rustic ambiance of The Bear Mountain Inn. I would return.
Afternoon Tea at Bear Mountain was a lovely experience. Great food, service and beautiful setting. I highly recommend it!
Only negative the bottle of wine was the wrong temperature. They need to work on their wine storage protocol.
I have not been to Restaurant 1915 since February of 2020 for brunch. The brunch used to be larger with nicer food options and include alcholic beverages. The food was generic and served in the main room. Drinks are seperate. Bill came to $106.00 for two people and $126.00 with the tip. Not worth it for the caliber of food or service. As for teh service we finished our first plates and we had to flag down wait staff to order drinks ( 1 diet coke and a coffee) and to get water to the table, no one came to us we had to go to them. The drinks came as we were finishing our second plate as well as water. Had to flag the staff down to get the check and then no one came to get the check so walked it up to the reception area. Plenty of staff however they were just talking amonst themselves. Nice to spend a day at Bear Mountain. Would not retun for this watered down version of brunch. Bring back the old version and for the price add back in the complimentary drinks.
The food was really delicious! Everything was great as expected but the food was over the top, especially for a buffet.
Our first time enjoying the Buffet and we will be back in the fall when the leaves will be awesome! The food was great and the many choices were amazing. Well worth the cost.
Excellent place to experience a friendly professionally trained staff, efficient and discrete, combine to all you can imagine pleasing your palette for a brunch with a stunning surrounding. Thank you the Bear Mountain Inn and the 1915 restaurant, I spent a very relaxing weekend

We brought my out of town dad here for a special occasion brunch- I'd really talked up Bear Mountain Inn because he loves historic rustic inns. For a $50 buffet, we were expecting a really unique historic lodge experience with delicious food. We were excited to be in the dining room because it really has that rustic feel to it with wood tables and fireplace and taxidermy with large windows, but instead were placed in the event space ballroom instead of the actual restaurant because there was a wedding brunch in the dining room. I wish they would have let us know beforehand, because it really killed the vibe. They threw two round wonky tables next to eachother with a tablecloth to fit our table of 5 with hard banquet chairs. It felt more like a family reunion or cafeteria sort of thrown together experience. The food was alright but a bit cold. it was not worth the $50/ person price tag and was really disappointed with the experience.
The beets over yogurt with honey and pistachios was delicious. It was a great way to start the meal. I had the salmon and my husband had the chicken as our main courses. They were both outstanding. His chicken had a yummy jus over the chicken which just made it! We also had the creamed spinach. They were creamy and rich but not heavy. Our server Josh was so pleasant and he has the best smile! My only issue is noise carries in the restaurant, we had a larger table near us and their voices were disruptive.
Restaurant 1915 is the absolute “best” restaurant in our community. The service was excellent and our server knows her menu. Our table of 8 thoroughly enjoyed the wine, food, and dessert. We had: Roasted Beets (delish) and the first 5 side items, clean plates all around, Roasted Organic Half Chicken (1 diner raved about, a must try), Halibut very well prepared (3 diners chose this), 2 Berkshire Pork Rib Chops, and 1 Veal Porter House 16oz. We also had 2 desserts, Lemon Raspberry Tart and the Crème Brûlée. Everyone was very happy. The wines also were very nice! The room and the views are beautiful. Definitely put Restaurant 1915 on your to-do list when you visit our beautiful Hudson Valley. Thank you all for another great dining experience!!
This was the second time my family and I went to the brunch and loved it! There is a great selection or food, from breakfast omelettes to beef, chicken and salmon. Great desserts, great service and great ambience. I highly recommend this place !
Good food, but service was slow and wait staff not particularly attentive. For example, had to prompt waitress to come by for another round of drinks. We were a party of 15 and it took just over an hour to receive our food. Nice views from dining room and the food itself was quite tasty.
