We stayed in one of the Stone Cottages. The only amenity we missed was a coffee maker 😕 The building was accessible but it was hard to get into the room in a wheelchair and the bathroom was not accessible at all. Otherwise the room was fine and super quiet!
Food was outstanding! Service was awesome! Beth was wonderful! We're coming back for our anniversary!
Great getaway location for a day trip or extended stays.....I haven't stayed in a room yet so I location reserve my critique for a future date

The Bear Mountain Inn is a charming, early 1900's hotel with beautifully kept grounds and stunning views of the nearby lake, Hudson River, and surrounding mountains. The property features a zoo with local animals and offers plenty of activities year-round for families. Visitors can enjoy a meal or a beer at the on-site bar and restaurant, although portions may be small and prices steep. The lodge-style rooms, complete with fireplaces, provide a cozy atmosphere for a relaxing mountain getaway, with proximity to West Point and numerous trails.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, with efficient amenities. Some guests have noted issues with the air conditioning. The staff at the Bear Mountain Inn are very receptive and friendly, working to resolve any issues. Overall, the facilities are lovely, and the food—including the delicious main meals and cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres—is a highlight for many guests. The inn is an ideal destination for a relaxing mountain getaway, perfect for solo trips, business stays, or weekend retreats. The location is peaceful, scenic, and close to great trails and outdoor activities, making it easy to explore the area.
