I guess when you're the only game in town you don't have to be good to be busy but this place keeps disappointing. Went back last night with friends after staying away for a year and it was still just not good. Crappy service (our waiter clearly forgot to put our order in; we waited half and hour for our appetizers while tables nearby were being served; main courses came while we were eating and were just dumped on the table; our waiter had to be asked to clean up first course dishes). The food is pretty expensive for what it is especially considering that the fried calamari was all breading and the cauliflower steak was literally burned black. The second try wasn't much better. Our waiter seemed confused that we were annoyed. Bedford deserves better.

A great neighborhood spot with friendly staff and patrons and a great ambiance. Food is good and consistent and drinks are great. Love the pull-down screen in the dining room for games, etc! Awesome place to have in the village.

The service took 1 hour to get our food. We were starving. The food was good but the wait was so long it was not worth it at all.

The food was good! The tables are tight and it gets very noisy when crowded.

Delightful gem in Bedford Village, next to the theater. Great menu with something for everyone without being overwhelming. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is always delightful. In the warmer weather, tables outside.

They didn’t have a brunch menu on a Sunday. The service was extremely slow. The food was just alright but expensive.

Food was good. The appetizers were ordered were better than the main course, which was the steak with chimichurri, which somehow underwhelmed.

My wife and I were on our way to another restaurant and she asked if we should check out this place instead. So glad we did! Delicious food and very helpful and friendly staff.

Light, healthy fare in a cozy village setting. I'd go back for the cuban bowl with steak. Tantalizing use of sauce and sweet potatoes!

Bedford 234 is a great spot right next to the Bedford Playhouse. The decor is nice, they have outdoor seating and the menu is pretty varied. I had the Cuban Bowl, a vegetarian option, and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken pie (fairly pricey at $31) and it was was easily the worst chicken pie we've ever tried (and we've tried many). He thought maybe there was an herb in it that he didn't like; I tasted it and thought it tasted "off". The waitress knew he did not like it and asked if he wanted to order something else but he did not (because he felt bad). Service was scarce after that, so when we finally got their attention, we just asked for the check. The person who took away the (nearly full) dish did not say anything. $100 for a beer, an appetizer and one entree! Salvaged the night with a trip to the ice cream shop down the road.
