Since ice cream is my favorite food group, I had to check out Dolce back when they opened. It has become a staple in our household. My fiancé and I sneak out without the kids knowing so we can grab a cup of gelato as a weekly ritual. We take the kids sometimes too lol. Danny and his staff are always friendly and accommodating and the gelato is always fresh and delicious.

I love the variety of gelatos at Dolce Gelato. All the flavors I've had are delicious. I like the fact that they keep the gelatos with nuts separate from the ones that do not have nuts.I don't have to worry about cross contamination because when I tell the person's serving me that my son has a nut allergy, they take care in keeping my sons order separate if needed.I have never had a negative experience at this gelato shop. The workers are professional and friendly. The place is clean pleasant to sit and eat your gelato.

Could possibly be the best ice cream spot in Long Island

This past Saturday we stopped by Dolce for some gelato. It was very bright and spacious. Many Gelato flavors to choose from too.We got the kid size “Fig and Honey” and “Chocolate”. We also got two cookies, an “s”and Linzer Tart type.All was good, and a yummier choice than Carvel. Although, the gelato wasn’t as thick and flavorful as others we’ve had. Also the cookies were just….ok too.Pro Tip: Order them without a cover and it was a heaping scoop. Beware though, they melt fast. Across the street is Mill Pond Park, romantic place to enjoy gelato and read a book.

Excellent gelato! Definitely the best I've had in NY so far. Still not as good as it is in Italy but definitely the next best thing. Fig & honey is my favorite flavor!

We were fishing in the area the other day, and decided to stop here on our way out. It's a really cute ice cream shop that has a bunch of fun gelato flavors and some bakery items. All the flavors looked so good, but I ended up getting the cannoli cream. The service was also great, but there was only 1 worker in the store, so it got pretty busy at a point since it was a sunny Sunday. I'd say it's worth the wait though! I have my eye on the almond mocha gelato next time I come back.
