Imperfect, Yes

The hot and sour soup smelled and tasted like alcohol, and the vegetable lo mein did not taste good. The spring roll was decent.

One of the best Chinese take outs in the area. Nothing too fancy, been coming here for close to a decade!

Ordered from them for the first time today. Very disappointed. The scallion pancakes were very underdone (not at all crispy) and arrived in pieces that looked like they were scraped from a badly prepared batch of bisquick pancakes. They were spongy and had the texture of undercooked crepes. I make better ones. The shrimp dumplings were all dough, watery inside and flavorless. The chicken dish was 90% vegetables with small bits of chicken here and there. The best part of the order were the fortune cookies because they were fresh and crispy.

House of Lu, is possibly the best Chinese take out on Long Island. I have been to many other Chinese takeout and sit in restaurants. They are the best by far The Hot and Sour soup is amazing, always lot's of tofu The Pork with mixed vegetables is always great And the vegetable fried rice has lots of veggies

We’ve been ordering from House of Lu for a decade now. My husbands favorite food is Chinese & this is our favorite local spot.Food and service is consistent with fair pricing!Owned and run by a kind, local family. Will continue to support small businesses!

Literally amazing every time. So delicious, not too greasy, but not too plain either (unless you request it). It's actually a perfect option for someone on a diet who doesn't feel like cooking because you can get everything steamed! Not only have they been super respectful and clean when it comes to the coronavirus (clean, gloves, masks, etc.), but they also are super quick with delivery. It seems like it's a family business that works incredibly hard to serve their local customers. I normally don't write reviews but after ordering three times during quarantine, My family has been so grateful to have them around.

I ordered a lunch, and when I picked up my order, I found that there was no soup. The optional soup was clearly marked on the menu, but the merchant did not ask me when I called and picked it up. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, but it was almost all vegetables. I can only say that both the service and the food are average.

I love the boneless ribs and I have been going here for many years and it had great service every time. The food had a reasonable price and is amazing.

Came in at 2:55 and actually looked at menu for a few minutes. Ordered at 3:02 he said can't have lunch special ? granted continued to order, asked for a small bowl with sink water (for my dental aligners) he gave me it. Great! Then when my food came out and I went to pay, he charged me $16.50 for a soda, 2 beef sticks, and boneless spare ribs. Already disgruntle I just paid. Sat down and thought about the prices. 5 minutes later I asked him to explain. He could not. Should have been $14.50 but then he said taxes... I said really? $2 in taxes SMH? Then he stuttered a bit and came out and said oh 75¢ for the sink water... Really? Smhhh... Horrible cheap people smhhh would never recommend to anyone!

Good, greasy Chinese. Fan of their egg rolls and their Lo Mein. My boyfriend gets the shrimp in lobster sauce which has great flavor. The egg drop and hot and sour soups are pretty good but the wonton filling in their wonton soup is pretty undesirable. This is not gourmet food by any means but if you're looking for typical, greasy Chinese grub it's a pretty good go-to.
