I ordered the jerk bowl and 3 patties (lentil, pumpkin, and vegan beef). Everything was so delicious and fresh. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Writing this as I eat my creamy Cajun pasta (so good!)
I’ve been ordering Sedjedo’s meal prep for a little over a month now and I’ve enjoyed every meal! From ordering, to delivery and to heating up my meals, everything’s been great. All the meals heat up nicely. Portion sizes are very reasonable and everything always tastes fresh. Their juices are great and also so fresh. You can taste each fruit/ingredient and I love that!
Looking forward to seeing what else the weekly meal prep menus have to offer!

Absolutely incredible! Call in your order ahead, at least 30-40 minutes. Highly recommend the jerk bowl and beef or chicken patties. Will definitely be returning any time I’m in the area.

The food is very good. I’m looking forward to ordering more dishes. I’ve had, rasta pasta, fried chicken sandwich, jerk wrap and vegan beef & chicken pattie’s.

The food was good however I called ahead to ask what the “oxtail” was made of and was told mushrooms. I later went to send a friend a link to their menu and the description for oxtail said wheat gluten. I don’t want to consume wheat gluten! Please educate the staff to understand what the products are made of. I’m rather disappointed in that aspect. I also paid $50 for two plates which I found to be a bit pricy considering the portion.

**Note** definitely call ahead if you don’t want to wait over a half hour for your food. (Their website states that you don’t have to call ahead, that you can just walk in to order, but absolutely call ahead. You can always just make a separate purchase for any grab and go stuff that isn’t listed on the menu.). I wish we would have known this. We just trusted the suggestion on the website, and lost valuable time on our road trip.

That said, the food was really tasty! We got the vegan oxtail bowl (the platter option is much more expensive but has sautéed veggies instead of the kale slaw. The slaw was fine. Not too raw tasting) and we also got the diri djon djon (“black” rice with the fried oyster mushrooms.)

The rice itself isn’t black. It’s more like “blackened” with spices. I noticed a hint of coconut in this. There were peas and Lima beans in this one. It was really nice. The tostones were a little dry, but I’m more of a sweet plantain person. Which just so happened to be included in the oxtail bowl, so I’m happy with that. The rice that was included in the oxtail bowl was more simple than the blackened rice, and had kidney beans in it. (This rice reheated much better than the other one.). The diri djon djon should be eaten all in one sitting. None of those components reheat particularly well, but all of the oxtail bowl reheated quite nicely. (Honestly, if you’re not in need of a second meal for 2 people, I would go for the single oxtail platter which certainly could feed 2 people, and leave it at that. We easily had 4 total meals out of what we ordered)

We also got a plantain patty. It wasn’t listed on the menu. It was tasty! It had small blasts of spiciness but was overall mild. Seemed like it was plantains and caramelized onions.

We also got the banana bread (straightforward) and strawberry keylimeade. (Quite refreshing and tasty.)

We managed to not make a mess while sitting at the bench outside. There is a table inside, but unfortunately there isn’t a little table outside. (I’m “Still Coviding” so I avoid removing my mask while inside buildings) there is, however, a little table outside the birria place next door, so if you don’t feel weird using another company’s seating. Go for it.

I would absolutely stop by again next time we’re passing through, but we’ll call ahead of time.

Sedjedo Kitchen makes one of the best vegan food on Long Island. This place is a gem! The food is so delicious and hearty. I really liked the jerk bowl, the mushrooms were really well seasoned and the curry was so flavorful. How they constructed the vegan oxtail was also creative. Of the chicken and beef patty, I liked the chicken one the most. I felt like the texture and taste was the most similar to actually chicken patty.

I was skeptical about this place because you can't go by the reviews. Let me tell you, I had the chicken(mushroom) sandwich, and the oxtail,rice/peas,cabbage. Boy did my taste buds have a stimulation party. The food was excellent 👌🏿.

I ordered via doordash the vegan jerk platter, fried chick'n sandwich, oxtail, pumpkin and chick pea patty. Everything was so delicious, flavorful, and perfectly salted. Being from bk I expected small portions but was pleasantly surprised with the big portions they gave - enough to feed 2 ppl for 2 days! Would go back in a heartbeat and try more things.

First time going there! The food was some of best food I've ever had! Service was good. The problem I've found was most of the bottles in the fridge was not labeled. I was expecting one thing and got another. I don't want to pay for something I don't want. I've should have been notified immediately I was drinking the wrong juice. So it was the lack of awareness of the products. Other than that, I'll give it another try. The food was really that good. 👍

DAM their food is good! My favorite part was having 3 islands on one plate - Trini curry chickpeas, Jamaican jerk mushrooms and the best rice on earth Haitian DJON DJON Rice!
