THE FOOD IS ALWAYS MADE FRESH AND FOR A LOCAL DELI…….!!!!!!!!! “THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO. !!!!!!!
Great parking, great food , great soups and “souper” special granted requests for any sandwich requested ………. This is a 5* deli The last time I was there on 5/13/25 , I had one of the best Mac and cheese specials of (1) 1/2 lb, (I ate it all the way home !!!!!!!!!!
I also got the best SOUP in the world of chicken orzo. When they cook soup…………..they do it RIGHT!!!! The store is a little hidden though, but it’s exactly next to the Bellmore Veterinary building on it east side The deli has plenty of parking and WELL WORTH going to for food . They COOK everything!!!!
This IS A DO NOT MISS for Bfast and Lunch!

The staff at South Bellmore Deli are personable, kind and extremely friendly! A huge compliment to their service, the individuals who work there are professional, knowledgeable and experienced! The owner/owners are wonderful people who genuinely care and appreciate their customers business! Amazing food catered to your needs, well made and extremely efficient! I’ve been here 3 times now and they have GREAT food !!!!! If you’re a local to Merrick or Bellmore this is a best DELI to go to. Soups and sandwiches are great and Zi would highly recommend to go here for lunch !!! Great job
I am soon glad I stumbled across this place today. Fresh, hand-made salads, (highly recommend the seafood and the macaroni salads). Delicious and fresh is all I can say! Well made wrap and Ice coffee. Decent prices too! I will be driving there from Oceanside often in the future!

I tried this place over the weekend and won’t be coming back. The display cases look amazing and I had high hopes. The Tuna Salad tasted sour and spoiled. The other items in our order (Reuben, pesto chicken, Greek salad) were okay. Customer Service was strange. I placed an online order directly through their website. When I arrived, the order wasn’t ready, and they asked if the order was for me. I was asked to confirm a salad dressing and bread type for items in the order. When the order was ready, I was asked again, if this order was REALLY for me. It was very odd.

This place is so disgusting number one I found a rats tail in my sandwich number two treating customers like garbage and very racist I do not recommend this to a friend or anyone this is disgusting

Adding onto to that other reviewer. I was in the store earlier and saw the owner or employee become rude and combative to a person of color. A discount was offered to local workers, each of the workers received it except the young woman. The group of workers piped up and said it was wrong and she was with them as a co-worker but the owner refused to give her the discount as well saying he can control who gets it and why. The only reason why I assume is because the young woman looked different than her peers.
I get it, give discounts to whoever or whatever you want. But you can't choose to give everyone who works local a discount and then choose not to give it based on looks, race, or gender.
Do not support this business and I recommend finding a great local place around that embodies the ideals of NY and LI.

So i was in the store earlier today and watched the owner get upset with customers. Due to them questioning why prices were different the last few time they came in. Instead of talking like an adult i watched the owner get red in the face he was yelling so much. Then start shouting no more discounts? I mean hey if you wanna pick and chose ppl to give discounts to its whatever. Just don't go telling the customers you don't give it to, about it. After reading these other comments, it’s no wonder why i was told to avoid this place. TO ANYONE READING THIS THERE ARE SEVERAL BETTER DELIS IN THE AREA, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!
