Was just me, as the family was out of town, so I ordered to-go on a Friday evening. I had seen the sign outside 14 MAIN advertising fish-fry and I love a good one - and will go out of my way to ensure quality. Was told about 15 minutes so I waited 15 before leaving to pick order up. When I arrived, it was not ready. I was not in any hurry so I sat had the bar and had a draught beer and looked around. I could see into the kitchen and that the single cook/chef was really busy cranking out orders. This guy was amazing! Completely non-stop, knowing where everything was and taking *great* care in cooking a multiple of dishes at the same time. Everything looked great! Fries were not rushed, roast beef on weck was gently layered by hand and the fish was large and looked perfectly cooked. It took another 15-20 minutes for my order to be ready. It was placed in a cardboard box (yay for being green) and the fish literally hung out the sides. The fish was sitting on a large bed of perfectly cooked string-type fries and was accompanied by cole slaw and tartar sauce. I rushed home and had a fabulous meal watching TV. What can I say? The food was awesome. I see some less than stellar reviews here on Yelp but my experience was 5-stars on the food. 14 MAIN is currently (offseason) only on the 2nd floor of the old See Zuhr House & Shaggy's. Very nice, with a bit of a sports bar look, with multiple large screens around the room. Very clean with lots of space between tables. Seems suitable for couples, groups and families. Not too noisy when I was there. I might have knocked a star off as I did have to wait a while for my take-out BUT the food was awesome, the bartender friendly and attentive and I was entertained watching the food being made. LOL, so, 5-stars! Recommended.

Maybe the worst takeout I've had locally. Ordered Nashville chicken tenders, fried pickles curly fries and peanut butter pie. Tenders were thick and oddly spiced. We ordered three flavors: hot was uncomfortably hot but without any nuance of flavor and medium and regular were bland. Fries looked and tasted like frozen out of a bag and pickle chips were too salty to eat. The peanut butter pie was filled with chocolate chips and not fluffy- we discarded half of the meal. It was a disappointment because none of the food we ordered is hard to make decently.

Had the Nashville chicken sandwich. The sauce was mild and spicy. The bottom bun was a little tough but edible. We had 4 tables put together but Zoe(server) kept up well. She did a good job.

Burger was huge but not flavorful. Beef on weck was really good. Remember that they charge by the glass for sodas. It's a bar.

Good sports bar and bar food. Access is difficult as there is no elevator for people with mobility issues. Steep stairway.

This is the old See-Zuhr House which is under new ownership. The upstairs is remodeled and looks great. The owners are not shy about sharing they are from Pittsburgh and Steelers fans. We were confused as to why they bought a bar in Bemus since they don't seem to be positive about Western, NY. They are big on the Nashville Chicken sandwich. Which again, is strange for Western NY. The menu is a standard Pittsburgh bar menu with quesadillas and fried food. Only jumbo wings are offered - another Pittsburgh thing. My meal was average. I would recommend the restaurant to Steelers fans.

Great sports bar with a classic atmosphere! Plenty of TVs to watch sports, bar games like pool, shuffleboard, and darts, and Touch Tunes. Everybody seems happy for the new ownership reopening this Bemus Point classic!!

See-Zuhr House is under new ownership, and while renovating the familiar 1st floor restaurant, they are serving upstairs with a limited menu. The food and drinks were ok, but the server was pretty apathetic. Maybe she was just having a bad day. I have faith this will once again be a fun place meet new and old friends. I hope they can keep some of the familiar local menu favorites.

The restaurant is now open above the old See-Zurh House. I actually do not know how to rate this place. You have to go up quite the flight of stairs to get in, then you get to the restaurant and kinda Wonder what is going on. Our order was wrong, on multiple accounts, and traveling with 5 kids makes it rough when their orders are wrong and they do not like the food and it's not a cheap place to eat. Needless to say I doubt that we will ever eat there again. That's too bad because we are up at Chautauqua Lake almost every weekend in the summer.

New owners are gearing up for a grand opening later in January or February. They've got a great new menu and are looking forward to meeting their awesome customers and local friends ?
