Yasgur's Farm was the original site of the WOODSTOCK Music Festival that took place in 1969. The farm is still present and continues to accommodate those who visit Bethel Woods for Music Concerts every weekend throughout the summer months- June throughout September. Some of the oldest bands and artists to the newest bands and artists of all genres hold their concerts on weekends at Bethel Woods. Check the website for concert schedules. Ample parking and the environment are well controlled, which helps make for an awesome time for all visitors.
Give yourself enough time as Rt. 17b gets packed with concert goers getting into the venue and parking areas.
Besides weekend concerts, Bethel Woods has "The Center for the Arts" and makes for a great day out for art lovers and children alike. Incredible sculptures made by local artists adorn the lawns and are appreciated by all. There is a cafe on site that one can grab simple food, snacks & beverages.
There's a museum on site with old "Woodstock 1969" memorabilia - it's just incredible...
Check the website for
Fall harvest activities that are available.
In addition, BETHEL WOODS has an incredible, yearly CHRISTMAS LIGHT/Music SHOW DISPLAY. Cars can drive through for a VERY REASONABLE RATE, or you can choose to walk through the display. * Wear comphy shoes as it is a pretty long display. Christmas music adorns the beautiful display, and you can grab hot chocolate and share the experience with others in attendance at the end of the disolay/show.
*Highly recommend you visit the Christmas Display, as it is one of the nicest displays in Sullivan County.
