I really want this to place to be good, but it just isn't. It just doesn't know what it wants to be. It's not a diner and it's not a high-end restaurant that it is trying to be. First off, the staff is completely incompetent. I've visited several times late in the day mind you, and the staff still doesn't know their menu. By that point, you shouldn't have to go ask the chef what the soup or dip of the days are. Their menu is only 2 pages, and yet 6 times I specifed to the server that I wanted the Sweet Potato Poutine, which was clearly on the menu. I ended up with puréed baby food in front of me. I had to point to it on the menu and he brought the menu to the kitchen with him. The servers just have no idea what's on their small menu and have to ask the chef about everything The food is very hit or miss. More often missed or just plain undercooked. It seems like they cut a lot of corners now. The Chicken Parmesan tasted and felt like a frozen pre-breaded chicken cutlet. The Braised Short Rib in a variety of dishes wasn't seasoned at all and seemed like it was out of a can. The cuts were too perfectly cubed and rubbery to have been fresh made. The only thing they have going for them is an awesome radio, which get used to because you will be waiting a long time for everything.I really wanted this place to be good and the menu sounds good. It's just that none of it is. It's been consistently poor on several visits.

I love their large coffee cups, a little pricey which is why they got 4 instead of 5 stars. Food presentation was good and it was well made. My server was Richard and he was helpful, cheerful and a nice guy. He really made the experience better than what it would have been. You can see the picture and tell by yourself that visiting here would be worth it.

Had the marinated steak and it was flippin amazing. So much better than the diner that was here before 24 north. I’d love to know the story behind the name! Service was outstanding. Glad we gave this new place a chance. High quality diner food for a great price.

Was excited to try this based on the chef/owner previous restaurants. The place wasn't that crowded but our food took a long time to come to the table. Our waitress (kristen) was wonderful & attentive. The food when it finally did come was good, except that they forgot to add the onions to the burger (as requested) & to tell us the grilled cheese that requested no tomato had tomatoes in the avacado.

Took forever for food to come. Was with my wife and 18 month old daughter so she was getting cranky. Brought out food, forgot a sauce for my wife’s food and all she did was ask for the sauce, so the waitress took the whole plate away to the kitchen. Comes back and asks if we want it remade or to have something else, my wife literally asked to just have sauce. Ended up bringing her nothing, they comped the check but how messed up is it that we ate and my wife didn’t. Miss the old diner.

Breakfast special was excellent. $10 for huge portions. We tried the 3 egg omelette and the vanilla pancakes with carmelized walnuts and real maple syrup. Both came with fabulous hash browns (potatoes, red & green peppers, onions).

For some reason they have two sites on yelp but it's exactly the same place. This is not a real Diner and it's definitely not a finer diner. The service is subpar the food is not very good and served cold. The grilled cheese was awful and the burger was overcooked. This place will not last very long.

My husband and I had dinner there last night. Although the food was fresh it was completely tasteless! C'mon folks I know you're afraid to add salt to things but you need SOME salt! My husband had the crab cake which he said was good. I had the chicken wings which were just okay. The blue cheese sauce was way too chunky to be able to sit on the wings. We then moved on to dinner. My husband had the skirt steak which he said was good but needed salt. I had the meatloaf which was good but needed salt. Both meals came with soup or salad. My husband had the chicken barley soup which he said was tasteless. I had the salad which we big pieces of lettuce which were inedible. Dessert came with the meal. The dessert collection was from hunger. The timing on the table was TOO quick! The dinner came out while we were still eating our soup and salad. But I blame that on our server who was nice but a little inept. A server is the one that controls the timing on the table. All in all I'd be hard-pressed to go back.

Amazing service, every time I’ve come here with my family (including a 20 month old) they’re insanely accommodating. Karim our server is the kindest soul I’ve ever met. The food is so tasty, top quality dining, a little pricey but totally worth it. The marinated skirt steak is to die for!!!

We wanted a quick lunch and had always been happy withh the previous diner. Had heard it was one of those "new takes on the old diner format" (like Whiskey Down in Farmingdale which has a wonderfully curated menu) but was sorely disappointed that it wasn't the case for 24 North. The menu is sparse --which is fine as long as the offering is a fun & inventive. Also...$6 to add chicken to a salad is ridiculous...a $19 salad? The waitress was sweet and professional though and I will say that our meals were tasty (it's difficult to mess up a burger...) however not sure we'll give this a second chance.

Incredible! Simply Said, this is a great place to stop by! The food was incredibly tasty and the customer service was very welcoming. Every time our waitress came it was delightful. Also a great experience for anyone who comes in! 5 stars and I'll definitely be back another time.

Smaller menu than many diners but not in a bad way. More focused and everything is a bit higher quality than standard diner fare. I've had breakfast (lemon ricotta pancakes) and lunch (burger) and both were great. The whipped cream on the pancakes appeared freshly made rather than canned, and the coffee is great .

It was OK. I was expecting it to be fantastic. The food was OK but my husband's order was not as he had requested it. The server was very nice but didn't bring the requested coffee or napkins. We pass it daily and haven't tried it before but friends wanted to try it out. I doubt we'll be going back.

This place was better than I was expecting, definitely has a diner feel aesthetically but the food is like its from a 4 or 5 star restaurant. Havn't seen anything like it on long island. excited to come back
