Been going to Jackie Reilly’s for years. Know Sean: the wonderful owner. His Bar-Staff; great and caring. I remembered going to Wimbledons;and Weekenf at Bernie’s at the same location.
After asking for recommendations, we ended up at Jackie Reilly's on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage on Saturday night. No pics, but we ordered a chicken quesadilla and teriyaki steak special, with gorgonzola, mash, and vegetables. The special also came with a salad. We sat at the bar, and the bartender offered to bring out the quesadilla and salad first, and the special on its own. Everything was AMAZING, and it was INCREDIBLY reasonable. We each had two drinks, plus the quesadilla...
Large bar which may be good for live music, but food was very basic and tasteless. The wings were average price, smaller in size and dry. The bleu cheese they use was not very good either. The stuffed mushrooms with seafood sounded unique and great, but were flavorless overall. The drinks were average price, but the bailey's was served in a tiny glass, not worth the cost. We went in the middle of the afternoon, so there should not have been a backlog of orders, the bar only...
