This place is a Long Island Icon but this weekend was my first time. It’s true what they say “if you can’t have fun with us you can’t have fun!” My son and other aspiring musicians performed on Saturday for a pediatric cancer fundraiser. They had a great crowd and the young musicians are very talented, all are chasing their dreams and it’s nice to know Mr. Beery’s played a role.

So I went to Thursday open mic night. For all you comedians like myself that have no idea it is NOT a comedy open mic. It's a music open mic. I sincerely appreciate the time cuz they didn't care that I was a comedian. But don't expect the attention that you think you deserve. These people want to listen to tunes and drink. Amazing staff. Jim was attentive, hospitable and fun. quiet place but so much fun. They’ve got arcade machine, board games like connect four and hungry hungry hippo, pool tables and more! Hidden gem!
