My wife and I have been here numerous times. Food and service has always been great . No issues whatsoever in that department. My only beef is the 4% charge ( which really is a rip off) for using a card as opposed to cash. I thought this added fee is more like a scam to me ended with Covid.

Popeis is one of our favorite places to eat at. The food is always amazing and it doesn't matter what we choose. It's all prepared to perfection. The portions are generous. The staff is warm and friendly and always happy to see us. Joe the owner is wonderful. He literally goes table to table and says hello to everyone!!! It's a really family place and when we are there we always feel like family. Shout outs to Reine, Javier and Joe. We love you!!!!

Had clams and linguine in white sauce. . Clam pieces were very small and had a bad smell. Expensive for mainly pasta. Sad to say my Thai Calamari was also not as good as usual.

Had the Jambalaya special and the seafood bisque. All the seafood was cooked properly. The jambalaya was not spicy enough for my taste but it was good. Big portions, great value. Parking is terrible. There is valet but no sign so I parked across Wantagh Ave on a side street. They gave us bread to take home with our leftovers, nice touch.
Casual dining. Food was excellent. If you get there early there's usually easy parking but if you go later they do have valet as the lot is not very big with limited parking. Service was great and attentive.

I cannot say enough good things about this place.The second you walk in the door you are greeted by the sweetest,friendliest most efficient hostess,Ashley.We also love the incredible waitstaff( New Katie is great!) The menu choices are insane and each dish we've tried is excellent. My son and husband love the calamari so much.I had the 2lb lobster last visit and it was cooked perfectly.This place is by far our favorite restaurant!
