Our experience here was great. Hank is a true bartender and knows what he’s doing, which is something my husband and I really value when dining out. He was attentive, asked all the right questions and made us feel taken care of. He made us perfect dirty martinis - which if you know martinis, you know is actually not an easy task. The burger and chicken sandwich were delicious and we loved the bread and butter candle. No notes there. Caesar salad was good but could be better. Would have appreciated a creamier cheesier dressing. I like the lettuce coated in grated parm. We would definitely come back to try more!

The food was so delicious and presentation was awesome. Very creative and all made from scratch onsite. That is the real plus. Our waiter was probably one of the best we have ever had. Polite, attentive when needed and a little humorous to make the evening enjoyable.

I’ve long been a regular at Downtown by Chef Jay Pisculli and it’s consistently one of the best spots in the area. The food is always well prepared and you can tell there’s real attention to detail. The bartenders are skilled and know how to make a spectacular drink without cutting corners. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels refined in a way that doesn’t come off forced. Service has always been smooth. Overall, reliable quality every time I go. I strongly recommend it.

i walked in as a group of three young asian women (bing students) during restaurant week. we had a bunch of staff look at us while we waited by the host stand to be seated, and we were completely ignored for at least fifteen minutes. i worked as a hostess in manhattan for two years, and i was really surprised that staff would operate like that. maybe it’s just a different level of service taught back in the city as opposed to at this restaurant, or maybe we were ignored because we’re young, asian, and they thought we would stiff on tipping. never coming here again. don’t waste your money, the food looks overpriced anyway and reading the 20 other 1-star reviews beneath mine, it seems others agree. go to phonomenal nearby instead :)

This place is a really nice upscale vibe but for reasonable prices especially for the large portions. Love the utilization of the roof top. Great for meeting up before dinner or after dinner, the view is amazing. Appetizers are some of the best around. Definitely recommend the steak tartar with bone marrow 🫰🏻top notch. Have tried multiple dishes here and really can’t go wrong something for everyone!

I had a great time celebrating my daughter’s birthday dinner at your restaurant. Kira was amazing the way she was able to serve a party of 9, she handle her self well and was very accommodating. I will be returning I highly recommend anyone to try this place out if you haven’t yet.

We visited Downtown by Chef Jay on Valentines Day. They just started their new lunch menu and it did not disappoint. So many scrumptious items to chose from. Each item we tried was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was really peaceful and our server Erica was a pleasure.
I would highly recommend an outing to this restaurant...top notch all around. Jay Pisculli is one of the best chefs in our area ~
