The staff are all friendly and professional and make sure you have everything you need. You are always greeted at the door and made to feel like part of the family.

“We were smart enough to get here early on a Saturday...5pm arrival like a bunch of blue hairs and it was good planning. We got a booth for 4 close to the front and within 15 minutes all other tables were loaded.

I can't say enough about what a great experience it was here...the cocktails were RIDICULOUS (see photos) and that's coming from 2 of us out of our party of 4 who can shake up some mean concoctions on our own. The service was outstanding and the food was definitely NOT an afterthought on the part of the owner and chef. We had a whipped ricotta appetizer which was not skimpy (we considered licking the plate, but refrained). I ordered the burger and it was an excellent choice. I forget what my husband ordered, but had meatball appetizer, I believe. All were happy, that's for sure. The service was top notch...our glasses were never empty! We each had 3 cocktails and took an Uber home. Some might complain it was pricey for what we ate and drank, but I know what goes into funky cocktails and they were booze forward (for those who wanted that) so not sugared up to mask a lack of alcohol. I greatly appreciated that.

“I went there at one in the morning the night my daughter was born. It was Sunday night so it wasn't too crowded but given the hour it's understandable. I drank a beer and and went home. the people were nice the beer was cold and that night was 26 years ago and they are still there, open for business and standing tall. Over 26 years of being in a tough business, they must be doing something right.“

“Me and the kids, older kids had dinner upstairs at Shands called the state room. Dinner and apps were great, just a bit pricey on the strip steak. 85. For a thin steak is a bit much. Wasn't quit cooked med rare, alittle toward med well. All in all it was a great night. Staff and bar tenders were awsome“

They have a huge center bar and lots of Hibachi tables and seating if you are getting Sushi. PLUS a robot brought our food! Ask for Alec! He took great care of us!“

“I took my daughter and her friends here for a sweet 16 dinner. Overall one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. I made a reservation for 13 and spoke with William, who was such a pleasant gentleman. They called to confirm the morning of, and allowed me to bring balloons and a cake (store bought only - understandable) Every person here down to the waitress was amazing. They were accommodating, polite and just overall wonderful. Everyone had a smile on their face and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. Aside from the pleasant experience with the employees, the food was amazing. Good portions and very tasty. They also cut our cake for us (for a small fee) and served it at our table and sung happy birthday. I will for sure, be going back again! Thank you, Dirty Taco for a great birthday dinner for my daughter! Can’t wait to return!“

“I’ve been coming to Spycoast pretty regularly since they opened and have always had a great time there. You always feel like you’re well taken care of, the service is fast and the staff is very friendly.

They have a great selection of beers on tap and make exceptional espresso martinis. I’ve tried a good amount of the food they have and everything is delicious. I’d recommend the orzo Mac n cheese, the wings and the chicken crust pizzas (any of them). I’ve also had a few of their specials and they always hit!

The last time I was there, our server Kat was highly attentive and recommended one of the specials, promising it wouldn’t disappoint — and, as always, she was right.

I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good drinks and food and a perfect place to watch some sports.“

From the moment we walked through the door on a busy Saturday night at 7:00pm we walk in simply based on a great name! The hostess Deanna was lovely and welcoming we were able to sit right away! The food was absolutely amazing and so were the drinks!! But the star of the show was the staff our waitress Emily was the best we have ever had! Just the right amount of attentive that we never looked for her and always felt taking care up. The busser also did an amazing job never a dirty plate on our table. We came to this spot (by the way it's called "American Standard"). I think the bar/restaurant change the name.This spot offers live music, we enjoyed a guitarist play during the course of our stay here.We ordered the alligator fritters as our appetizer and catfish poh boy with a burger that had all kinds of galore in it.The food was fantastic, very delicious. The alligator fritters was phenomenal. It's rare to find a bar/restaurant to offer alligator in this area as there aren't any alligators or crocodiles nearby. It was well cooked, not dry. The dish presentation was cute.The meal was very filling as the burgers came with fries or side salad. The poh boy came with the same option, but my mom ordered salad. The food portions were perfect.The spot also offers a wide selection of alcohol, including many choices of craft beer. I highly recommend coming here to have a good time. It's very causal.“

“This is one of the best places to go on fire island for sure! Some great food and drinks and all the staff is great! There’s also drag shows at various times and that is awesome entertainment !!! This isn’t for everyone, you need to be aware that this is a gay area of fire island and so if you can’t handle that then stay home. However everyone is friendly and accepting and there’s never any issues or problems, you just have a great time! There’s a dance floor and outdoor area for dining,drinking or just hanging about.dress is very casual or as fancy as you would like to be. Either way it is a great time and only around in the summer…“
