“The most delicious Mexican food I have eaten on Long I since I moved to New York from California 40 years ago!!It is fresh, inventive, well-prepared and nicely presented and divine. This is not your run of the mill rice and beans tacqueria that everyone on Long Island settles for. This is real authentic Mexican, the way it should be.My friend and I ordered margaritas which were perfectly bright, refreshing and served the way they're supposed to be served. The tortilla chips were fresh and the salsa had just the right amount of zing.We ordered the Empanada Mariscos appetizer, a seafood empanada appetizer which was very fresh and delicious. My friend ordered the Enchiladas Campenchano, which looked so delicious, I asked to taste the sauce. She wasn't as familiar with Mexican food. But she absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back. Amazing. Guess what I am ordering on my next visit?!I ordered the mole enchiladas. Can I say OMG!!! Rich, complex, and wonderfully silky and excellent, the mole was perfectly prepared and presented, as it should be, on corn tortillas filled with tender, juicy chicken. The Mexican chocolate in the sauce absolutely sang. Incredible. I had goosebumps!! It tasted like more.Since we were celebrating a birthday we ordered Coffe Flan!! Melt in your mouth, indescribably rich and delicious!!! It was light and smooth with just the perfect amount of coffee flavor. Succulent. The staff surprised my friend with a generous piece of tres leches with a candle on it, and they sang happy birthday to her. She was thrilled.Summary: The ambiance is bright and festive. The service is attentive and warm. The cuisine (yes, cuisine) was incredibleTlhe prices, for this level and quality, were just right and worth every penny.Bottom line: We cannot wait to go back.By the way, they also serve brunch!!“
“I took my friend there for her birthday on a Sunday. The server recommended the Prickly Pear Margarita-delicious. She checked on us many times to make sure everything was okay or if we needed anything. We had the corn tamales, tacos and a veggie burger. The food was great, service on point. One of my favorite places to eat. Thanks for a great meal. Highly recommend.“
“I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! For two weekends in a row I’ve chosen this restaurant to celebrate birthdays for family and friends. The food is phenomenal and our bartender Gio was fantastic. He was attentive, kind, and had drinks for us before we even asked for them. Highly, highly recommend!“
“Just got back from trivia night here! Fun and challenging, host Ashley was great! She was entertaining and funny. Love that atmosphere here. Big open floor plan with a variety of seating options like high-tops, bar, lounge seats, and giant booths. Will return!“
“Date night. Got there before 6pm to be a fast flip for our incredible server Cami. Split eggplant app, chick burratta, and tiramisuwith a gin cocktail. Ginny and Cooper, thank you for sneaking us in and out as promised. This place, food, and far and away staff is just wonderful af “
“Dined here several times since opening over the summer. Service is spot on, food delicious and love the outdoor dining and relaxing by the fire pits. Burgers are very good, (we enjoy the toasted English muffin buns), crab salad on croissant is great. Every appetizer we have tried has been awesome. Nice little place on the water nestled in the marina. We will frequent here often year round.“
“Food was delicious! My onlyComplaint is that the Cajun chicken I ordered was dry :( but hey, could have just been one of those nights. Definitely recommend food from here - always delicious, good amount for the price and the service is topTier!“
“For a vegan, nothing much to choose from without modifying menu options. Servers were polite and ready to help. Music was a bit too loud, but patrons seemed to really enjoy the place.Vegetarian options: Needs expanding and more creativity. So many restaurants now have a Beyond burger, salads without cheese/egg, etc.Kid-friendliness: Kids not offered activity like coloring page/crayons, doesn't seem children-oriented.“
“Live piano and saxophone created a classy atmosphere. Julie was our waitress. The service was impeccable. The food was amazing. The drinks were tasty. They even made mocktails for my daughter. Any special requests were met with yes of course no problem attitude. We were celebrating my friends birthday and they brought over the saxophone to sing happy birthday at the table. We couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back!!“
“This is a woman owned business and she supports other local women owned businesses. The large, but cozy room in the back of the restaurant makes it a great place to have events. Thanks to the chef, who cooked 3 different types of pasta. In addition, the buffet style food was delicious. The waitresses were attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. The pictures were worth the visit.Parking: Large free parking lot is available in the back of the restaurant“
“From the moment we stepped in, the warm and intimate atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening. Our server was absolutely wonderful, attentive and added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. As we moved on to our apps and entrees, we were blown away by the interesting flavors and impeccable presentation. It's clear that the chefs at The State Room are truly passionate about their craft. Highly recommend the shrimp and the beef tartare as each was bursting with flavor. We couldn't leave without trying dessert, which was just as delicious as everything else we had. Overall, a wonderful experience!“
