Only ok. Hostess was a tad surly and service marginal. Food was meh. The sauerbraten was not great. Plain dry roast beef drowned in the sauce...and not at all marinated in it. Roast pork was dry and potato pancakes were half mashed potatoes and mushy. No sour cream offered with potato pancakes. The pumpernickel bread, however, was good.

We came here for our 35th Anniversary dinner. Really nice people, great food, really big selection. The beer selection is perfect and desserts were fabulous. They take reservations. Don't waste your time and $ at the Sagamore on "fine dining" when Pumpernickels is cleaner, nicer, with much better food. Make a reservation and you won't be disappointed. Authentic food, drink, and people.

Me and my family were on the boat all day and were googling places to eat in the areas and stumbled upon the Pumpernickel website. Looking to try something new and out of our norm we went straight there as soon as they opened. We were quickly seated outside and greeted by our waitress Diana. She was theatrical, warm, friendly and informative right from the beginning. She listed ALL the beers with details from memory and also described some of her favorite menu items. Her energy...
