Upon walking up to the restaurant we were greeted with the cozy campfire pit and the welcoming smell of the fire. A cute smores station available for use. We dined in an igloo and it was an amazing evening. The atmosphere was quiet but could still hear the live music inside which was great! The brussel sprouts were absolutely amazing as was the pretzel. Drinks were delightful. The dinner did not disappoint either! Our waiter Evan was super courteous and attentive. One of the best dining experiences my man and I have had. Thank you so much!

I'd give it a 4 if it was a bar, but as a restaurant a 3 star rating. Food wasn't that impressive, just above average for a bar. My barrel bowl came out warm, not hot. My wife's french onion soup was very small and mostly just soggy croutons. It seemed cozy in the bar area and there was a back section with a pool table- a good place to catch a game. There were kids eating there so kid friendly-ish with their own menu, but on a Saturday night they had a live band so it was a bit loud for my toddler. I'd look around for another spot to eat dinner if I was going back with my wife, but would go with some buddies wanting comfort food and a beer.

My family and I stopped in for dinner here after my sons soccer game. Immediately, we were welcomed with the smell of fresh burning firewood right outside the restaurant. The service was excellent and staff was super friendly. The food was great and drinks were very creative and delicious. There’s a s’mores station outside to roast marshmallows that my kids absolutely loved. The live entertainment was the cherry on top of the amazing atmospheric energy.

Ridiculously expensive. Nachos with extra queso and a tiny amount of short rib was $31. Bartender was attentive. For only-off-season dining they need to be more reasonable. Not a strong ADK vibe either.

It was Saturday night so it was busy. The food was so good! The wait staff were very nice and accommodating. The restaurant was a little cold. They have outside seating and apparently is a very popular place, so the door was open a lot! They have a fire pit inside and outside. There was a smores station by the outside fire. They also had a band that night. It was good music but very loud, so if you are trying to talk with others, it's difficult.

they don't answer their phone on days they are supposed to be open. I am a resident of this town and I see no reason to patronize an establishment that doesn't care to answer their phone. Heading to Fredricks.

My friends and I came here for the igloo dining experience and it did not disappoint! Our waiter was extremely attentive and kind and the food was delicious. I loved my salad. The igloo was very cozy and quaint. They also had a complimentary smore station and had a little fire going outside.

Food was awful and ridiculously expensive. Nacho's were just stale chips with cheese sauce and some tomatoes for $16. For 2 people it was $87 and we had 2 entrees 1 appetizer and 1 beer. Would not recommend.

GREAT spot for good food and fun! Had dinner in an igloo in late January and it was awesome. Fast service, delicious food, very warm in that thing for the 2 of us, Andre wasted no time getting us handled throughout even as busy as it was. Everyone was so nice!

Our food came COLD, we notified the waitress who said they could microwave and we passed on it since 5 of us were hungry and we had a toddler hungry too. The manager came and he said ā€œThey would TAKE CARE of itā€. We even ordered deserts to go, then they brought the check and said they would take only 10% off it. Very disappointing to realize that the Barrel has poor management. Especially because we’re regulars at the BWM restaurant in the summer. It was only our second time at the Barrel, but our last one.

We had dinner reservations for 6pm in one of the "heated" outdoor igloos. That being said, it was super cute, touristy, and nice at face value. But the heat was LACKING on a 12 degree night.... We had 2 heaters in our igloo and they just couldn't keep up. We were shivering eating in there and basically just rushed dinner cause it was just so cold. My boyfriend's ribs came with a lot for only a half rack, but they had very minimal meat.. Clam chowder and adult grilled cheese was super yummy! Would give it another try, just not in the igloo.
