GREAT spot for good food and fun! Had dinner in an igloo in late January and it was awesome. Fast service, delicious food, very warm in that thing for the 2 of us, Andre wasted no time getting us handled throughout even as busy as it was. Everyone was so nice!

Our food came COLD, we notified the waitress who said they could microwave and we passed on it since 5 of us were hungry and we had a toddler hungry too. The manager came and he said “They would TAKE CARE of it”. We even ordered deserts to go, then they brought the check and said they would take only 10% off it. Very disappointing to realize that the Barrel has poor management. Especially because we’re regulars at the BWM restaurant in the summer. It was only our second time at the Barrel, but our last one.

We had dinner reservations for 6pm in one of the "heated" outdoor igloos. That being said, it was super cute, touristy, and nice at face value. But the heat was LACKING on a 12 degree night.... We had 2 heaters in our igloo and they just couldn't keep up. We were shivering eating in there and basically just rushed dinner cause it was just so cold. My boyfriend's ribs came with a lot for only a half rack, but they had very minimal meat.. Clam chowder and adult grilled cheese was super yummy! Would give it another try, just not in the igloo.

The Adult Grilled Cheese is basically the best Patty Melt that's on crunchy, grilled country white instead of rye. One of my favorite burgers ever. If it has swiss and came with au jus, then I'd be even happier.
Also, I can't tell you how amazing the brussel sprouts were. I just wish the took the charred bits from the first roasting off, then put more cheese and balsamic and fired the green/rare hearts of the sprouts a second time. I basically just ate all the bacon, cheesy burnt bits. So good!

My son and I came in for dinner. He had the chicken bacon ranch Mac with garlic sauce and I had the special, bourbon glazed candied bacon burger. my son LOVED the Mac and wants me to buy the cool cast iron dish it was served in. I forgot to tell my waiter how I wanted the burger, but it came out PERFECT! The homemade potato chips were a good surprise too! Carter was our waiter, and you won't be disappointed if you get him! What a nice, patient, pleasant guy! Definitely coming back for another meal. For 2 of us, the bill was extremely reasonable.
Food & service are good (as I would expect from the staff of the Blue Water Manor). Igloos outdoors are really fun. Indoor dining atmosphere leaves something to be desired (it always feels a bit chilly) but the deck area is nice.
The place is definitely a good spot in the area. We used to go quite a bit, the most recent experience was very good. There have been some experiences that were not always the best. The food is good. Some dishes are great and some could use a little work. Wings, pretzels, salads, corned beef sandwich are all great. My only complaint would probably be the burger. When I first started going there they had a great hamburger then during covid they went to a thin Patty. Now for a thick Burger you get doubled up patties which is not my favorite. It's Smashburger style so you can't ask for it to be cooked a certain temperature. Overall it's a great place with great atmosphere especially in the winter when many other things are not open.
First time being there and we All loved it. My grandchildren even want to go back again . Food was good and our waitress was the best. Hopefully next time we can reserve an igloo.
Kid-friendliness: My grandchildren loved the free smores stand and the fire pit to sit by after we had dinner.

Perfect winter restaurant/bar/dry-curling spot in Bolton Landing! Got lucky and was able to play some no-ice curling while the kids slept in the car 10 feet away. The food was actually great too. Poutine fries were tasty. And the wings were super good. Globes provide a great spot to eat, warm up. There was a band playing in the main bar area. Awesome local beer selection. Get reservations way in advance during busy season. Can’t wait to come back.

Lively in the winter which is nice. Very courteous waitress who went above and beyond. Food came out very quick and was pretty good overall! Only issue was they sat us between the two bathrooms…not very pleasant. Lots of other open tables but oh well.Also have outdoor fire pits and nice igloos for winter dining.
