Love cates for their incredible lasagna and service!
The chicken piccata tastes nothing like a piccata and the portions are offensive for $30
Best bang for your buck are their pizzas. Eat it in late Spring thru early fall at their outside dining area.
Our server Peter, started out friendly but became combative and annoyed with our large table as the evening continued. When we received our vodka & club drinks without the limes, he replied “ oh well the bartenders busy” and made no effort to get them. When one guest cancelled her drink since she had already eaten her meal & waited so long, he asked the rest of the table “ does anyone else want to cancel their drinks?” Ewww…He failed to bring the grated cheese until we were done eating our meals & then we heard him complaining about us to the table behind us. It is a shame since the meatballs were fantastic & the woman who brought our limes was delightful. We will not return for that treatment again.
Food was good(great meatballs) waiter we had was horrible. Rude, dismissive, ignored basic requests, got annoyed when someone in the party wanted to order an additional drink and was overheard complaining about the table to other customers. Was possibly the worst dine in experience I ever had at a restaurant.
Awesome food and service!
Online menu does NOT have accurate information, prices are much higher. Not willing to honor online menu price. Food was ok, but not worth the cost
Great atmosphere, excellent service. Good food at reasonable prices. A great place for couples or families.

Best Italian food in Bolton Landing....only because it's the only Italian restaurant in Bolton Landing. Truth is their customers change weekly so Cate's doesn't try too hard because chances are, you'll only eat here once. Menu is limited. Even what they manage to eventually get to the table, they have a hard time with. Ordered a simple meatballs with linguine, if not for the salt and burnt marinara, the food have no taste at all. The only thing it has going for it, it a slightly nicer than an average pizza palour.

Osso bucco was to die for. And the tomato basil soup was worth coming back from the dead for. And Sheryl is the absolute best and we love her so much!

Server was very nice but the pizza was worst than grocery store pizza and the salad was basically a side side for $17.00! I wouldn’t go back.
Pizza was terrible. Rectangular pie with NO outer crust. Sauce was not good. Not a NY style pizza . Go up the block to Bear cup. Much better.

Stopped into the patio and tried a slice of pizza. Owner was working, very friendly, and I have to say this was one of the best slices of pizza Ive ever had. Definitely top 3 of all time.
Will definitely stop back in next time Im passing through BL and buy an entire pie!
Thank you!

Nice little Italian spot. Service was fast and spot on even on a fairly busy evening. Food was excellent.
