One of my favorite fine dining places around. Sea Bass is possibly best I've had. Scallops over black rice is sooo good. Never had black rice but it is really good. Piper in the bar is top notch. Wish they stayed open all winter.

Well after reading all the reviews I didn't have high expectations, and they didn't disappoint. appetizers were very good octopus , French onion soup, and ceaser salad all very good. But that's where it ended. We couldn't cut our 160.00 porterhouse steak for 2. If we had a chainsaw toughest steak I ever had. A real disappointment. Total waste of money.

This place is amazing. The food is 5 stars, from the crab cakes to the steak, to the sides, everything was awesome. Our server was very attentive and the atmosphere was great. Yes it is pricey but you get what you pay for. Side note, there is not a child’s menu, so if you bring kids, they are paying adult prices. A large parking lot on location.

Not sure why Google page was not updated but. Great food and very good service. Very historic restaurant that was built in 1888 cool decor. Lady’s when you go upstairs don’t forget to say hello to your man from the balcony… kinda makes you feel like in princess time.

This is part of the sagamore on a private golf course. The decor is a little dated, but we enjoyed it. The food was very good but the service was very, very slow. There may be 15 tables here, but you can wait a while for service. I think this was a better place than restaurants that are in the town.

We were there to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we arrived we loved the place. Our server, Taryn, was so professional and friendly. She described the dishes we ordered and she made good choices. The food was excellent and she even had the chef decorate our dessert with Happy Anniversary! I’d absolutely recommend this steakhouse. Looking forward to eating there again

We enjoyed our evening in this restaurant very much. Our waitress Alecsondra was great and our meals were so very good. My ribeye steak came out perfectly rare and the beet appetizer was wonderful. My husband’s chicken dinner was the best he had ever had. Our friends also were very pleased with their meals.
We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and Taryn and the other hosts made our dinner so special. They took pictures and we’re very attentive. The food was beautifully presented and very delicious. It’s a wonderful restaurant to visit and enjoy.

Obviously the place has been around for a while and has not taken any interest in updating anything in the restaurant. Although part of the Sagamore it is not located within the Resort. It's a couple of miles away out of town at the golf course, which was a total mistake on our part because we thought it was part of the resort at the lake. They seated us on the porch which contains uncomfortable wooden chairs with no padding which are so uncomfortable, it contains lighting so you feel like you're at a cafeteria, and no ambience or music whatsoever so that you can distinctly hear your neighbor's conversations. The food was average. We ordered steak, it did not come out hot and it was served on dinner plates which kept no heat in the steak. This is allegedly a steakhouse, they should know better and serve their stakes on metal plates that keep the steak hot. The dinner's plates were shaped so that your fork would roll off the dinner plate onto your lap if you were not careful, this happened to both of us sitting at the table. The wine list contained no French wines. The entire evening was a total disappointment. I would not recommend this place to anybody, It was expensive, had no atmosphere, and was actually a bit depressing. The hostess and waitress were very nice, but I don't only want a nice host and nice waitress I want a total wonderful dining experience and this restaurant does not deliver that. Do not waste your money or your time you will be disappointed.

We thought this restaurant was at the Sagamore resort but it is not, it is at a golf course not far away from the Sagamore resort. There is no view of the lake but of a golf course that you could see in any town that had a golf course. They sat us on the porch and the chairs were wooden with no cushioning, they were very uncomfortable. The porch had no ambiance, they had no music, and unfortunately you could distinctly hear your neighbor's conversation. The lighting was similar to cafeteria lighting. The food was average they served steaks that were not very hot and they were on regular dinner plates Instead of metal plates from the oven without any means to keep the food warm. The dinner plates had an odd shape that depending on where you put your silver ware, they would roll off the side of the dinner plate into your lap if you are not very careful. The waitress and the hostess were very nice and kind, but the entire evening was a total disappointment and I would not recommend for anybody else to go there, especially for the amount of money that one would spend on a steak dinner for 2 with no ambience.

Beautiful restaurant at the Sagamore golf club great food, and staff. This is a 10 star restaurant . Mainly known for steaks but it has a complete menu and great wine list. I go there every year I visit the Sagamore resort on Lake George New York.

Ordered the ribeye medium rare and NY strip medium; they came out medium well and well done. Server did not come back to the table for 30+ minutes. When told that the steaks were overcooked, we were chastised by the waitress, and told "that's why we come and check 5 minutes later to make sure they're cooked to your liking", which of course she didn't do. Honestly, after being charged full price (300+), no visit from the manager, I feel like we were literally robbed by this place.
