We had the most amazing wedding experience at the Essex Club. The hospitality was exceptional from start to finish, and every detail was handled with such care and professionalism. The staff made us feel completely taken care of and truly went out of their way to make the day seamless and special. Rob and Julissa were especially incredible and went above and beyond for everything we needed. We felt so supported the entire time and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Rob, the maitre d', deserves a special shoutout because he may have been my favorite part of the entire process. He made us feel like family and made me feel like the most important person in the world. Before our reception, I was nervous about our first dance and wanted to practice once in my dress. I was stressing bc it just didn’t seem plausible. Rob cleared out the bridal suite, stood guard outside the door, and gave my husband and me a few private minutes to practice. It was such a thoughtful gesture that I'll never forget.
Our bridal attendant Julissa was also amazing. It got very cold while we were taking photos before the ceremony, and she stood outside with us the entire time fixing my hair, holding my bouquet, making sure we had drinks, and checking on us constantly.
The guests loved the food and ambiance and are still talking about it. The venue itself is gorgeous, decorated nicely, and really doesn't need much additional decor.

From the moment my husband and I walked into Essex Club, we felt welcomed and instantly fell in love with the space. We lucked out with beautiful weather and had the most gorgeous garden ceremony overlooking the golf course.
Jessica is an absolute dream to work with. She answered every silly email promptly and guided us through the entire process. Honestly, it felt like she was our day-of coordinator. Rob our maître d’, and Julissa, our bridal attendant, were incredible and on top of everything all night long. The food was phenomenal and our guests are still talking about it. I would choose Essex Club again 100 times over.

My 60th birthday party was one of the best, if not the best, celebrations I’ve ever had! Jessica and Rob helped my vision of that day come to reality. I dropped off my decorations, Jessica and staff displayed and placed everything as requested. Rob was super accommodating with the flow of the party, guests are still talking about the wonderful time they had and how nice and the staff was. The food was great as well. When the party was over, the staff cleaned up/ broke down the decorations and packed them up, nothing was broken or missing. I had other events at other Lessings locations but this was the best! Would definitely have another event here.

I had my wedding at Essex Club on 4.18.26 and it was the BEST day of my life. The staff is amazing. Jessica was my point of contact from my tour to my wedding date, and she makes planning so easy and stress free. She answered all my questions and emails quickly and patiently. Rob, the maître'd, kept everything moving on the big day, we were in great hands with him. Julissa was my bridal attendant and she was always there when I needed her to fix my dress or hold my sister-in-law's baby while we took pictures. They were GREAT!
The grounds of Essex Club are gorgeous, I'm so happy with how my pictures came out around the venue. The cocktail hour space and the main reception room are intimate and cozy. The food was amazing. We added the Asiago Cheese Rice Balls as a last minute substitution to our cocktail hour and they were a hit...I wish I could order them to go! The price is super reasonable if you do their all inclusive wedding package; upgrading any additional features with their preferred vendors is totally at your discretion and I did some upgrades; I still feel like I got the most out of my money this way for my guests.
I would do my wedding all over again in a heartbeat at Essex Club and would give them infinite stars if I could!

We truly could not have asked for a better wedding venue. We got married at The Essex Club on 11/28/25, and from the planning process to the wedding day itself, everything was absolutely amazing. Every request was listened to, everything was extremely organized, and they made sure both we and our guests were cared for throughout the entire day.Rob, our maître d’, was incredible and kept everything running seamlessly. Liz, my bridal attendant, was the absolute best—constantly checking on me, making sure I was okay, and even braving the cold November weather for my outdoor photos. She truly went above and beyond.Jessica made the planning process completely seamless and stress-free, always responding promptly to emails and making everything feel easy.Our guests are still raving about the FOOD and the hospitality. We recently had our wedding at Essex Club, and overall, the venue truly exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful, the atmosphere was exactly what we hoped for, and our guests had an amazing time. The food was delicious—although a couple of guests mentioned the Mahi Mahi was a bit dry, everything else was a hit. The team also corrected our layout perfectly after it was initially set up incorrectly the day before, which we really appreciated.
That being said, there were a few issues during the planning process that kept us from giving a full 5-star review. While the manager, Jessica, was absolutely wonderful to work with, we did encounter some last-minute surprises.
First, we wanted to incorporate our culture into the ceremony by having a close family friend play the steel drum. About a month before the wedding, we were told that due to liability reasons, he would need to have a license in order to perform. This was very upsetting and left us scrambling for an alternative. Around the same time, we were also informed that the backdrop we had purchased couldn’t be used for liability reasons. Thankfully, we were able to get a refund and did find another backdrop option—which actually turned out beautifully—but the last-minute changes added extra stress.
We were also notified late in the process about additional taxes related to the cost of desserts. While we understand and respect venue policies, receiving this information so close to the wedding made things more difficult during an already stressful time.
All in all, Essex Club is an amazing venue, and we truly did have a beautiful wedding day. I would absolutely recommend it to future couples—but I also strongly suggest asking plenty of questions up front to avoid any misunderstanding or last-minute surprises. Despite the bumps along the way, everything came together beautifully, and our guests had a wonderful time.
