Local and wonderful as always. Picked up apples for my family (still good selection though it’s late in the season!) and got a small pie to drop off at a friend’s house. Of course, I got an apple cider donut to share with my fiancée ☺️
Great place to stop for a snack and a variety of farm/homemade goods.
Apple cider donuts are the best in the area! Delish!!
Nice family atmosphere. Baked goods. We had hot apple cider and donuts. The food was delicious.
My favorite orchard in North Salem. Best cider donuts, best pies.
Nice selection of seasonal flowers, excellent Bakery and fresh produce. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
A must visit when we are in the area. Great local products. Friendly staff
Delicious barbecue smoked and then fried to perfection. Food and vibes are great but the outdoor seating area could use some work (maybe new benches to replace the ones falling apart and more umbrellas). Store was lovely as well with fresh pies and tons of different beautiful produce and baked goods to pick from!
Great food, awesome market, well worth the drive
Second visit to Salingers orchard. Baked goods were day old, fair tasting. I asked about apples, female staff went to back and brought 4 apples said they were Fuji. Giant yellow ones. On my way back I bit into a very mealy soft apple, with dark spots. I was disappointed and felt betrayed by a place that is supposedly an orchard that grows apples. All of them were in the same condition. Waste of time and money was my take away.

Great home made goods.
Apple Cider Donuts 👍🏻
Awesome donuts and the Meatballs and eggplant parm were amazing
Great local farm food and bakery. One of Brewsters many gems. I like to get away from the house and end up here usually . Very dog friendly, has a food bus that’s available on the weekends. Only downside are the crowds during the busy fall apple picking season….thats when I stay away. I enjoy purchasing the honey, pie and watermelon twizzlers. I also like to buy “country” souvenirs for families whenever they come to visit
SUN., March 16th… Have been going to Salinger since my kids were small and they are now grown And as time goes on in the years pass, it just seems the quality of the pies in the jar foods has declined noticeably.
Had guests coming over and purchased two apple crumb pies and some pickled garlic
As far as I’m concerned, these pies are in edible. They are falling apart, even when I scoop it with a spoon. The crust feels old.
And the amount of sugar is mind blowing.
So sorry to see this happen. Won’t be back anymore. Best of luck, Teri.
