“Hosted an intimate party for 22 yesterday. The food and service was great. Varied dishes, shrimp over linguini, penne with grilled chicken, eggplant parm, hanger steak, Pan roasted salmon salad and chicken marsala all were delicious, served hot and all came out within minutes of the others.”

“We discovered this place while searching online for Spanish food in Brewster. Tanya, the owner, was quite personable and we enjoyed spending a few minutes chatting. The menu offered a wide variety of choices and the only difficulty we had was deciding what we wanted to try. We took home beef, spinach, chicken, and mac and cheese empanadas.We also ordered rice and maduras ... Tanya even threw us a sweet potato as a sample to try.
We found the food to be fresh and flavorful. The prices were reasonable. We were able to enjoy this food for three days!

“I’ve been going here since late last year, and I haven’t had anything they’ve made that I didn’t love. If I had to choose, the Paris-Brest pastries are ridiculously good and the carrot cake is the best one I’ve ever had, hands down.”

“I'm a Bronx Italian woman who teaches pasta making and three of my maternal grandmother's siblings owned successful Italian restaurants (ever heard of Patsy's in East Harlem?). I know food and I have been living in Connecticut for 8 years and have to go to Arthur Ave for a decent hero. Not anymore. We recently had lunch with friends and ordered from here. My mortadella sandwich with mozzarella and roasted peppers was so good I ate the whole thing. I think anyone who left a bad review is either working for another deli or they've never had good Italian deli in their lives. We're ordering again today and can't wait.”

His smile, his greeting and attentiveness showed me something I have yet to see at any deli I’ve ever eaten at. And the sandwich (#13) was amazing too. I will most certainly be back.”

“Brewster Pastry is such a lovely little bakery. The place feels warm and welcoming and all the pastries in the display look so tempting. Everything tastes fresh and you can tell a lot of care goes into what they make. Definitely a nice spot to stop by if you are in the area.”

“So good. My daighter and i are visiting family I havent seen in 20 years and she has never met. First day here we tried this place. What a amazing gem of a place. Excellent chicken parm roll. The bread was just perfect warm, soft and delicious. Got the gyros and that was not as good, it was bad just not good either. Glad I had the roll. Stick with the pizzas and rolls and you can't go wrong.”

“Peking Garden was a nice spot for a simple Chinese dinner in Brewster. I tried the chicken with broccoli and a side of fried rice, and both were hot and well prepared. The chicken was tender, and the sauce had a good savory flavor without being overly sweet. We also shared an order of spring rolls, which were crisp and came out fresh.”

“AJi Sushi was such a great find. The fish tasted fresh and everything was beautifully presented. We tried a few specialty rolls and they were all delicious, with tasty sauces and toppings that made each one stand out. The portions were satisfying too. Definitely a great spot for sushi and somewhere I would happily visit again.”

“Mezzaluna restaurant is a great place to visit. I live in South Carolina and when my wife and I travel to NY we always visit Mezzaluna several times a week. The food and service is always excellent as is our usual waiter, Nick. He is great at his job, very friendly, observant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner who we recently spoke with on the phone is very friendly and makes you feel welcome and special. If you are looking for a great place to dine in I highly recommend Mezzaluna Restaurant”

“The best Sicilian in Putnam County. Crunchy bottom, soft and tasty inside. My husband and I get a whole pie, it’s the best fresh out of the oven, we eat two or three slices in the restaurant and take home the rest, freeze for lunches. Bring a devoted Sicilian slice customer I ventured out to a salad, not any salad, their Asian salad. Cold crisp romaine lettuce, crispy chow mein noodles, sliced almonds and mandarin oranges, and the best Asian dressing. Really a very enjoyable salad. A great place for good food and great staff.”

“Food is delicious, service is a bit slow but it’s worth the wait I promise. Lots of yummy opinions and prices are good. They also have a buffet style service if you are in a hurry on you want something quick to go. Bread is yummy, they have conchas and a lot of sweet bread that you can get. Love that this is local and I can have a yummy cheap meal anytime.”

“This is a local Spanish restaurant, the place was crowded, so I did takeout. I had the chercherons with rice and beans. The meat was prepared well and plentiful; however, the rice was a small container portion, this size worked for the beans, but it was not enough rice. Also it took quite some time cook, beyond what was expected. However in the end it was a tasty meal.”

“We make the trip up just for the bagels at bagel train and they are always good with our young children taking over the place. We are poppy fans and extra schmear. Everything is well made and service with a smile indeed.”

“I ordered lunch when I was in my office in Danbury before I left for home, intending to order from the Salsa Fresca in Carmel, NY. When I got to the restaurant they didn't have my order and after checking my app I realized it had switched to the nearest restaurant which was Danbury. That is when the manager Caesar walked up and said no problem, we'll make it for you here. He asked me for my name and called the Danbury restaurant and explained it to them. That is great customer service! Also, the burrito is KILLER!!!”

“We stopped here for breakfast. They have a menu with plenty of options. The food was really good. The service was also very good. It’s big so I’d imagine you can always get a seat. It’s clean and a good atmosphere. It’s in a good location as it’s close to 287 and is on the main road near a few hotels and offices.”

“Super Italian restaurant with a varied menu. Casual pizza place atmosphere but so much more! Very clean, booths and tables. Very friendly staff. Deliver meal to table when eating in. Unbelievable pizza varieties. Pinwheels. Salads were the best I've ever had. House dressing is great. Chicken dishes, salmon, beef. Huge portions for reasonable prices. And desserts including Gelato. This is a must stop !”

“From the call to order, thru pickup. Horrible. Lady Linda that answered the phone was rude as can be. Food was cold. The sauces are “in the bag”. Well that was a lie. Tried to run my card, and she kept jamming it into the machine. Never one apology, let’s make things right etc. been going here for years. But after tonight, my family and all the friends I’ve told, won’t either. Shame, this used to be the go to place where the old owners were there.”
