“My girlfriends & I went to Bob’s Diner yesterday after we left the Guardian Vet Hospital in Brewster( with great news!) We had breakfast. Thomas the owner was very personable & yesterday since the waitress did not show up he had a multitude of jobs! Done to perfection!!! The food was delicious, made with lots of care! We were not rushed out and the diner, to me, brought back memories of when I was a child! I highly recommend eating there & I will plan on going back!! Thanks Thomas 💙”

“I have been meaning to visit for months now. When I saw it was open tonight, I immediately turned the car around and went in. There's a reason they are highly rated!

The empanadas (especially the beef and cheese and Buffalo chicken) are phenomenal!!

The owner, Tanya, is super friendly and immediately greeted me upon walking in.

I thought that was excellent customer service, not too often found anymore. I went this evening and not only received my credit but an additional pizza as well. “Hosted an intimate party for 22 yesterday. The food and service was great. Varied dishes, shrimp over linguini, penne with grilled chicken, eggplant parm, hanger steak, Pan roasted salmon salad and chicken marsala all were delicious, served hot and all came out within minutes of the others.”

“Went for dinner Saturday night - 16 May - nicely decorated, informal dining room with a bar.

I had the Pollo con Mole Verde with Pepitas - this was some seriously good chicken; my wife had the Banderas - really nice too.

Our friend had the ceviche, was enough for her to take home for lunch the next day.

Because of the holiday weekend, the drinks were 15% off, the guacamole was free - very, very good, and the bowl you get it in is a deep one.

The Margaritas were made all by hand, no mixes - also, very, very good.

For dessert, they have a nice selection, there was something called Sopaipilla on the menu, so we got them - very light pastry triangles drizzled with sugar and honey, with some vanilla ice cream and whipped cream...coffee also very good.

Family run, the service was very friendly, the music was CW; the owner walks thru the dining room to make sure everyone is happy.

Prices are good for these days, and you certainly get a good portion on your plate.

“The best Sicilian in Putnam County. Crunchy bottom, soft and tasty inside. My husband and I get a whole pie, it’s the best fresh out of the oven, we eat two or three slices in the restaurant and take home the rest, freeze for lunches. Bring a devoted Sicilian slice customer I ventured out to a salad, not any salad, their Asian salad. Cold crisp romaine lettuce, crispy chow mein noodles, sliced almonds and mandarin oranges, and the best Asian dressing. Really a very enjoyable salad. A great place for good food and great staff.”

“I went to Froggys today for the first time and was blown away by the guy at the register greeting. (Second to none). He wasn’t too busy to speak and didn’t seem as if he didn’t want to be there. His smile, his greeting and attentiveness showed me something I have yet to see at any deli I’ve ever eaten at. And the sandwich (#13) was amazing too. I will most certainly be back.”

“I’ve been going here since late last year, and I haven’t had anything they’ve made that I didn’t love. If I had to choose, the Paris-Brest pastries are ridiculously good and the carrot cake is the best one I’ve ever had, hands down.”

“This place is like a hidden gem. The bread was fresh and the Giorgi hero was really good. I’m not usually a fan of roasted red peppers but these were really good. The sandwich had the perfect amount of dressing. Very happy over all. I don’t live anywhere near here but I’m sure I’ll find an excuse to come back in the future.
Also the family running the place is quite lovely.”

“Place is cute and very private, love the setup. Service was fast, too fast lol. But the food was delicious, I have to come back for the sushi because my bento box came with California rolls, and those were delicious. My and hubbys dinner came with salads and miso soups and those also were yummy. Love this place, and I have to come back to try other items.”

“This is by far the best Chinese takeout you will find in probably the whole New York. That includes the city. I've had so much Chinese food across NYC and a lot of them sadly fell off. Peking Garden in Brewster has held their ground for many years. The consistency of their food, and the pride they take in ownership is why they are #1. They offer menu items that you cant get anywhere else in the whole county, and the flavor is always the best. They serve the freshest vegetables and use the best ingredients to make their dishes really stand out. When I get Peking Garden I have to literally force myself to stop because it's so good that even when I'm full I just want another bite, and another bite lol.”

“Mezzaluna restaurant is a great place to visit. I live in South Carolina and when my wife and I travel to NY we always visit Mezzaluna several times a week. The food and service is always excellent as is our usual waiter, Nick. He is great at his job, very friendly, observant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner who we recently spoke with on the phone is very friendly and makes you feel welcome and special. If you are looking for a great place to dine in I highly recommend Mezzaluna Restaurant”

“Food is delicious, service is a bit slow but it’s worth the wait I promise. Lots of yummy opinions and prices are good. They also have a buffet style service if you are in a hurry on you want something quick to go. Bread is yummy, they have conchas and a lot of sweet bread that you can get. Love that this is local and I can have a yummy cheap meal anytime.”

“This is a local Spanish restaurant, the place was crowded, so I did takeout. I had the chercherons with rice and beans. The meat was prepared well and plentiful; however, the rice was a small container portion, this size worked for the beans, but it was not enough rice. Also it took quite some time cook, beyond what was expected. However in the end it was a tasty meal.”

“I ordered lunch when I was in my office in Danbury before I left for home, intending to order from the Salsa Fresca in Carmel, NY. When I got to the restaurant they didn't have my order and after checking my app I realized it had switched to the nearest restaurant which was Danbury. That is when the manager Caesar walked up and said no problem, we'll make it for you here. He asked me for my name and called the Danbury restaurant and explained it to them. That is great customer service! Also, the burrito is KILLER!!!”

“I stopped by on a rainy day for some “Arroz con leche” and “Manjar de leche,” both being very traditional Central American hot drinks, specifically in the cold months or rainy days! Both were amazing; hot food looks good as well.”

“Do not miss this place if you are driving on I84. Pizza was freshly made ( including the crust ) rim scratch . Kids said that this was the best pizza they had in their life! . It took about 15 mins and had clean restroom. Would love to stop here next time during our drive to Boston”

“Have had dinner at The Arch previously each time everything was tasty and prepared well. My wife who's very particular was more than satisfied. In June my wife and I had our wedding at The Arch. We Highly Recommend , Zennel and his staff are professional. The chef definitely knows his way around the kitchen. The food, from appetizers, to desert, everything, was delicious. The entrees were perfect, the short ribs were to die for, no knife necessary. Our chocolate on chocolate wedding cake was incredible.”

“From the call to order, thru pickup. Horrible. Lady Linda that answered the phone was rude as can be. Food was cold. The sauces are “in the bag”. Well that was a lie. Tried to run my card, and she kept jamming it into the machine. Never one apology, let’s make things right etc. been going here for years. But after tonight, my family and all the friends I’ve told, won’t either. Shame, this used to be the go to place where the old owners were there.”
