⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had my birthday dinner at Topping Rose House, and it was an amazing experience—just like every other time we’ve been there. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Our waitress was so kind and patient, even with our little toddler being a bit wild! Gerry was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They even brought out a dessert with a candle for me, which was such a sweet touch. Overall, a wonderful experience—I’d recommend this place 100%!

Simple, elegant and modern, my first impression of the theme/decor of this restaurant. We were here for a private event occupy ing the entire dinning hall. The decor and service were great. Food was pretty tasty, but not at a remarkable level. The starters, choice between tune tartar or shrimp salad, were fresh and quite good. The main dishes, choice between halibut or meatball spaghetti were okay.

The food at this restaurant is decent, but it doesn’t live up to the standard they seem to aspire to, especially given the prices. Overall, I’d call it fairly mediocre. What really stood out, however, was the terrible service.
Our server, Fatbardh M, set the tone early when I politely asked a simple question about what he would recommend or which dishes were most popular. Instead of giving a straightforward answer, he dismissively replied that everything was different, so he didn’t know what to suggest (delivered with noticeable attitude).
The poor service continued throughout the meal. He acted as though he didn’t want to be there, and even small requests, like ordering another round of drinks, seemed to annoy him. At the end of dinner, when we asked to split the bill across four credit cards, he raised his voice and told us we should at least do two, since four wasn’t “usually allowed.” He then stormed off, returned with the bill split across four anyway, and tossed the cards on the table with the same unpleasant attitude.
It’s hard to understand how this level of service is tolerated at a place like Topping Rose. With so many great restaurants in Sag Harbor, there’s no reason to return here, and I won’t. I’ll also be sure to let friends know about this experience. The restaurant needs to seriously improve staff training and service standards.

Had a going away dinner for a friend the other night and we couldn't have had a better experience! The food was great and the staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond! We even got to meet the chef! Chef Mike was extremely personable and professional as well as the rest of the staff! The ambiance was beautiful and I loved the multiple sections for dinner seatings! It was pretty busy but the way the sections were broken up it didnt feel over crowded and allowed us to have the perfect dinning experience! I've been to Jean-George restaurants before and the only criticism I could give is allow more flexibility with menu items as far as new dishes...it does seem like they have a smiliar array of options in rotation at their locations.

Service was phenomenal! Our hostess Kassidy was so sweet and provided great Hamptons charm whilst seating us at a great table.

My husband and I dined here last night. Unfortunately, the service does not match a Jean George restaurant. We just ate an almost identical menu at the Jean George Nougatine on the Upper West Side, and their service was impeccable, as was the taste in everything we ordered. We've eaten at multiple other Jean Georges and the service was exceptional.
If you can’t hire or train the staff to match the reputation of the brand, then you should either significantly lower the prices, or re-train your staff. The training of the staff at Jean George Topping Rose matched that of a deli.

We had friends in town and picked Topping Rose for what was supposed to be a special night. Honestly, it was embarrassing. The service was terrible, our waiter never even told us it was last call, so none of us got to order entrées. We left hungry and frustrated.
To top it off, they were literally moving furniture out of the restaurant while we were there. Trucks out front, workers going in and out, it felt like we were eating dinner in the middle of a moving day. Apparently they were setting up for a 10-day takeover, but no one gave us a heads up.
The whole experience was incredibly disorganized, and the dinner ended up being a major disappointment. As a lover of Jean Georges, this was truly a letdown and we won’t be coming back.

This restaurant used to be great, but it has completely gone downhill. A truly mediocre experience for anything carrying the Jean-Georges name. The service was very subpar, with completely untrained staff, dirty tables, and even bugs. The food was terrible and nowhere near the quality it once had and should have! What was once a gem is now a careless disappointment.

Really nice place and excellent service but food is super disappointing and killed the whole experience.
Raw bar apps and susi/sashimi plates were great but entrees.. HUGE miss .. from the lamb chops, to the chicken, to the fish dishes, all cooked poorly, flavor lacking, and the culinary excellence you'd expect at a place liek this does not come through in the slightest.
Definitely not worth the cost - it's ridiculously expensive for mediocre food.
SO many better options for good food in the area.

Had breakfast this morning there and it was delicious! I had the buttermilk pancakes and they were fluffy, airy and delicious. Eggs Benedict had a delicious hollandaise sauce and the brioche French toast was very bread pudding in the best possible way. Drinks were fine, too!

I was looking for places for dinner for our anniversary.
Kid friendly facility inside a hotel.
We got their baked brie and I got their omelette.
Everything was delicious!
Beautiful place and I was happy that there was parking. The place filled up pretty fast once we got there but excellent place to visit and we look forward to going back .
