We had a reservation last night for 4 people. We arrived at the appointed time and waited for half an hour to be seated. Pierre seated many other folks ahead of us, telling us that he was seating people according to the time they arrived - which was a lie, as he seated people who arrived after us. Despite the fact that our friends who accompanied us had eaten there 2 nights before and are regulars, it became obvious that he had NO intention of seating us. After 40 minutes, we left and had a lovely reception and dinner down the street. We were treated abysmally by Pierre himself, who I guess thinks that people love his restaurant so much that he can behave however he likes and people will still flock to his restaurant. Wrong, Pierre - you may think you are so amazing, but your customer sucks (maybe you should read other reviews to get a sense). Don’t go there, ever, not worth being treated so abysmally. You have better options in Bridgehampton.

I’ve eaten at Pierre’s on numerous occasions and have always had the same experience: the food is exceptionally good, but the prices are high, almost excessively so. This particular review centers on a Friday night dinner with friends. Two of us had the bouillabaisse, one had duck, the other sea bass. Each of us commented on how well prepared our entrees were, and we were all pleased with our selections. For appetizers we shared the avocado and tomato salad, oysters, and sardines. All were fresh and very good. Many reviews have commented on the prices at Pierre’s and it is true that they are among the highest in the Hamptons area, so this is not the place to go if you’re looking for a more moderately priced experience. However, we’ve also gone to many restaurants in the area where prices are high and the food is only average. At least here we’ve always found the food to be good. Our service was also prompt and cordial on this particular evening, although the restaurant was not quite as busy as it can be later in the season. On those occasions, we have found the service slow and somewhat erratic. While it was not our experience on this particular evening, we have also experienced an occasionally brusque reception by the host who can be dismissive and even rude when the restaurant is really hopping. You do get the impression that he treats his “regulars” with a better attitude than those customers he doesn’t know. On the evening covered by this review, we were in a party that included two regulars, so our reception was warm and friendly, but that hasn’t always been the case. So while I’d rate this evening a 5, just be aware that your experience there may not always be.

Surprisingly bad! Server had way too many tables in his section and was spread too thin. Drinks & app never arrived. Entrees were not even that good. Water was never refilled. The tables were two inches apart from each other. Never going back!

Surprisingly horrible was how I felt when I left however it wouldn’t have been surprising had I just read the yelp reviews before. Had one server for the whole upper floor on Valentine’s Day, there for over 2 hours and only had one entrée because they never brought the appetizer or drinks we ordered, also no water refill the whole time. Had to ask for the check from the bus-lady twice and explain how we didn’t get half of our stuff, finally had to get up and find someone to get a check. On top of being thirsty the whole time the food was very mediocre. There is a reason there’s a bunch of 1 star reviews

What a great place to sit outside and chat in the hamptons. The staff did not rush you. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was quintessential hamptons
Great spot in the Hampton’s. The sea bass is fantastically paired with a cream sauce, asparagus and leeks. Most importantly, the fish was perfectly cooked with a nice sear. Desert was also very good and I’m not a desert kinda guy. Carlos does a great job working the bar. I’ll be back!

It seems “Pierre” has slightly humbled himself the past few months. Regardless, any constructive criticism towards management or food is taken as a personal attack, as seen with the owner’s responses below. You have the space, location, and ambience. However, it doesn’t take much effort to take your own customers’ constructive criticism into account to better your business overall. To belittle, demean, and disregard any criticism towards your establishment, unless it’s a known food critic with 100+ reviews, is absolutely unacceptable. Because of this, Pierre’s has already established itself as a stuck-up, barely mediocre restaurant in the Hamptons. Please, do better. And I mean this with as much respect as possible. Consider your customers’ wellness and wellbeing over yours. Much love.
They served me a rotten mussel. It smelled rancid and they told me that “it’s just the time of the year.” They offered to get me something else and when I asked if I would be charged they said they would “take care of it” and then still charged me for the meal. After expressing disappointment in the experience they were not willing to make any alterations to the bill. Awful and frustrating experience.
