Been going here since college, always great food. Lately I've only been able to go for lunch, but it's never a bad decision aside from maybe being a little less productive at work after a Balboa.

Walked into a barely functioning bar, with one bartender on shift that had a terrible mood, and was quick to berate any and all customers.I’ve heard a lot of good things about this bar, but if it were up to me, the bartender from the night I visited should not work in the customer service industry. Food was barely passable, service was beyond awful.I came back to the area hoping Barbers would be good, I’m sadly mistaken in the fact that the female bartender was the worst I’ve ever encountered in terms of energy- and with that, I’m glad I don’t have to come here routinely.

Went around 5:45 on a Friday night. Walked in and wanted to make a to go order. The bartender who seemed very nice told us that unfortunately it was a 45 minute wait due to lent and didn’t offer a table or any alternative for us waiting. We wanted to try the food because after living in Brockport for many years we wanted to give them a try especially with the construction we wanted to support local business. She offered there were other places in the area to eat.Unfortunately did not get around to try the food but we wont be back again. Even do the bartender was nice their service lacks.

my second fun afternoon at Barber's! so many beers on tap to choose from. killer menu- but I can't pass up the hot crispy wings! fried pickles are very good with tasty sauce. Kim is wonderful with loads of great stories. music is perfect, lots of games to play. such a good vibe and always a high point when visiting western NY looking forward to another fun Sunday at Barber's!

Great spot! We enjoyed Fried pickles, chicken wings n their huge selection of beer on tap. Really fun place. I wish this place was closer to my home. I would be a regular. Owners are great. Celebrated my sister's birthday and the whole bar sang to her and bought her a round.
Great burgers!!! Same atmosphere as I remembered from when I was a student at Brockport in 1968. They don't serve 25-cent beer now!

Very quaint little bar. A hidden gem in the brockport area. Fast efficient staff that's works tirelessly to bring you the best service. Drinks specials daily and any kind of television you need to watch, from sports to news. Located 200 feet from brockports historic Erie Canal.

Good sandwich (old fashioned, with horseradish mayo) served on nice crusty bread and well cooked, tender beef. A little seasoning during cooking would elevate this sandwich. Curly fries seemed fresh and they were tasty, though they’d be better if they were crispy. Nice selection of draft beers. My Molson tasted a bit “off” (though not “bad”) a sure sign the draft lines have not been cleaned lately. Bottled next time.Overall = good, not great.Would love to see those little extras with the food, and a boost in hygiene for the beer lines.Will come back to try a burger, and fish fry Friday.

Disappointment would be the best word to describe my experience here. We tried this place for the first time Monday, we did an online order and arrived at the time it said it would be ready. When my husband walked into pick up the order, the woman behind the counter told him it wasn't ready yet, figured no biggie it might be a few minutes...No..The woman then tells my husband her boss tells her to not start any online order until 45 mins after they receive the order...We waited in our car for about 20 minutes until we got the call the food was done. Oh I forgot to mention, this was an $80 order. Then we got home and were excited to sit down and eat, We ordered 3 Balboa sandwiches. Supposed to come on garlic bread, not a single sandwich had garlic bread. One sandwich was a poutine balboa, the sandwich did not have gravy on it at all. The Moody Buffalo Chicken balboa tasted funny my husband said, not sure what seasoning was on it but he said it tasted like the what gasoline would taste like. None of the fries were seasoned at all, not even salt or pepper. The curly fries were soggy - which is super strange if they were just made recently. The best thing about the order was the appetizers, which I'm glad we got because that was what we had for dinner. We got the shrimp and fried ravioli, which was the best part of the order. Overall for the price of the food, the quality just wasnt there. Also they description of the portions , we expected a huge sandwich, they were on normal long hoagie rolls. There was no Challenge for a normal sized sandwich. I would like to mention the front staff was very nice, and I don't hold the polciy made by the "manager/boss" against them. So please rememeber if you do place an online order wait an extra 45 minutes before going to pick up your food
