AS AN AFRICAN PERSON WHO HAS RECENTLY MOVED TO THE USA THIS IS THE BEST RESTURANT IN AREA! THE JOLLOF RICE IS AMAZING AND THE FUFU ACTUALLY ISNT TASTELESS! SURE THE WAIT IS ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS ANDTHEY HAVE A 6 YEAR OLD RUNNING AROUND, ITS STILL WORTH IT.
I have to give these people their flowers. Ordered three times and food was on point each time! As far as Ghanaian food goes, this has been the best I’ve tried in all of NYC (all boroughs!). I understand the issue with the wait time, but besides that the food itself — 10s across the board. I would highly recommend their grilled tilapia (VERY flavorful, authentic and the fish is ALWAYS fresh), waakye, and fufu with light soup. We recently tried their kontomire or palava sauce...
It’s true their food is one of thr best but the wait time is really bad. You call and they say give them 20 mins. Knowing they have long wait time, I’ll wait an hour before going but still the food won’t be ready and you have to wait another 30 mins. It’s a shame because their food is great and I understand it’s cooked fresh but they are losing a lot of people because of the wait. They have so much potential to take over
