“Lovely place with an old continent feel to it.The staff and atmosphere are always great. The food is excellent (almost as good as my mom’s). I wish the meats were less salty but that definitely didn’t stop me. As an Eastern European I am extremely picky (and can pinpoint things that can definitely be improved - flavor-wise) but all my American friends love this place so they won’t be disappointed. The bread will be a hit too. They have an interesting rendition of tres leches. So definitely worth coming - especially in a group so everyone can share.”

“I was biking past one day and from the exterior I thought it was a dive bar and wasn't until I got home I looked up and saw it was a pizza spot. Went back for lunch that weekend and ordered the pizza and cocktail from the specials menu. Pizza was ricotta, mozzarella, sausage, and hot honey sauce. Cocktail was tequila, st germaine, lime, basil simple syrup. Both were delicious! A week later I came back for dinner on a weeknight. Just grabbed the wrecking ball pizza (pepperoni etc) and a hazy IPA they had on draft. There's a pretty good selection of beers on tap, and looks like when it start to warm up they have some tables outdoors as well. Both times I went my myself so I just sat at the bar. “What a lovely place in the Bronx! We were visiting Bronx and Enzo’s was a recommendation from close friends. We stumbled in from the cold rain and wind and were warmly welcome, seated immediately and promptly served. Food was fabulous with generous serving sizes. We had calamari, 2x salads, 3 entrees, 2 lattes and 1 dessert. Price was a bit high with all of this for north of $150. But to be fair, the four of us could have ordered 1 less salad and 1 less entree as we had left over meals. Overall - Well done and a superb choice if you are in the area!”

“Just spent several WONDERFUL hours in one of the most comfortable delicious restaurants I've been to in a long time. Not only was the food FANTASTIC but the staff were attentive, friendly and fun to deal with and Joe capped off the experience by making us feel welcome and like family. My pasta fazole, veal saltinboca were SPECTACULAR, my friends said their seafood appetizer was so good they almost didn't order a main course but when I suggested the chicken saltinboca and her husband had a fish dish that brought him memories of his childhood we knew this was truly a wonderful place that we'll have to go back to. And although this review is long I must admit I took home an order of chicken parm and two desserts (tiramisu and chocolate lava cake) it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back. And the chocolate martinis are TERRIFICDietary restrictions: They adjusted the chicken saltinboca for someone who doesn't eat pork and it was still delicious.”

“I went back to Liebman's Kosher Delicatessen & Restaurant today, 10/18/2023 for Riverdale Restaurant Week. For $22 (Plus tip) you get a Pastrami or Corned beef (I got pastrami), a square or round knish or steak fries, cole slaw, pickles and a Dr. Brown's soda. Look: A great deli knows that the secret of success is not to futz with perfection. My Aunt Joan and Uncle Bill of Blessed memory either took me to Liebman's or had them cater their simchas for as far back as I can remember. The pastrami I had today was as fatty, smoky, salty, tender and delicious as it always was and always will be. Was it worth two and a half hours on public transit from South Brooklyn to get there? You betcha. Will I go again? You betcha. Should you go? Heck yeah.”

“One of the workers gave me an extremely hard time about the dips that were included in my meal. I hadn’t ordered the food but someone else did so I only had a screenshot of part of the receipt. She said I needed the full receipt to confirm that I had multiple dips. Then after telling her I searched the entire bag, in a rude voice she said I had to bring the bag in to prove that there were no dips, as if I was lying. Then she put two dips in the bag, and then shoved the bag towards me. I told her I needed 4 more and she started laughing saying they were coming. On top of all of that they forgot my fries and I didn't even feel like going back in there. She was so extra and rude for no reason.”

“Absolutely love this Taco Bell. The staff are always friendly and the service is blazing fast. Whether you order in store or the app, your food is ready in 10 minutes or less. The chefs are the best, they really love what they do and season the food with their in-house season. Trust me on this, this Taco Bell's food is not like any other Taco Bell. All their dishes are seasoned to perfection and the portions are generous for the price. Lastly, the price can't be beat by any means. For $10 dollars you can get 5 burritos, a side, a drink and still get change back (did I mentioned that the app gives you points that can be redeemed for more food with or without a purchase?). Overall, I strongly recommend this Taco Bell.Vegetarian options: They have a menu dedicated to vegetarian options, and you can easily make an dish vegetarian by asking them to substitute any meat with beans.Parking: You can always get parking at this location provided there are no Yankee Stadium events at play.”

“I really fell in love with this place. In the midst of the fast flow of traffic and daily life, it is the ideal place for me to stop and dedicate time to myself and the people I love. The atmosphere smells of antique and elegant; the furniture is accurate; and the staff exceptional, ready to satisfy every whim, patient and charismatic. The menu satisfies both wine and beer palates, accompanying the drink with rich and elaborate aperitifs. Highly recommended for anyone with this nostalgic romanticism for the ancient and the need to stop, even for a moment, to enjoy life.”

“One of my favorite places in NYC.Food, Service and Ambience are always amazing here.Live music from local artist Thursday to Sunday. The secret to the success of this establishment is the staff. They are hard working, attentive, and always make you feel welcomed, like family. Bartenders usually know what you are drinking when you come back the 3rd time and are always quick to serve, even when there is no space at the bar. In the kitchen is the matriarch, Mama Henry, the Owners mother. She makes every sauces, flan, beans, and many more items from scratch.Happy Hours are from open to 7:00PM on weekdays, their sangria, margaritas are strong and on point and come in many fresh fruit flavors. Some must haves on the tapas are the empanadas, mofonguitos, pulpo, tostones and chorizo, bacon wrapped dates, canastitas de bacalao, for mains the churrasco, paella and salmon are amazing.I used to bartend here for 6 years and I never once was tired of the food, this place is like family to me.Truly a neighborhood gem.”

Hacienda Agave 496 E 138th St, Bronx Mexican

“Great addition to the list of authentic Mexican restaurants in 138th street. The food and service are stellar at the upscale Hacienda Agave. We started out with appetizers- tortas with chicharrón, ceviche, tlacoyo, tuna tostadas and esquisites. It was all delicious. Next up were quesadilla de Carnitas: soo good! The mole de pollo which was phenomenal and every dish tasted better than the next. The Chamorra was my favorite- lamb shank in a rich stew, we also had the Branzino- which came beautifully wrapped in corn husk, it was moist and had a very delicate scent of herbs. For dessert: the churros were crispy and soft with dulce de leche. The tres leches was perfect and not too sweet and the flan was velvety and rich. The cocktails are varied and there are choices for all tastes. I started off with a non alcohol drink- cucumber and ginger- the bar was so accommodating and made our dinner party horchata martinis and a non alcoholic horchata martini! Highly Recommend !”

“Came here tonight and surprise- it was trivia night! How cute!! Layout is small and a little wonky so if you want to be in on the action + have plenty of opportunities to socialize, I recommend sitting towards the front near the bar! Unfortunately I came around 8:30 and trivia was fully in-swing so the only seats were in the back sort of away from everyone. One of the things that struck me right as I came in was how welcoming the crowd felt and the amount of queer folks I saw. Definitely felt right at home pretty immediately. My partner and I ended up ordering a flight of beers to share. You get your selection of any 4 beers on tap for just $20. My partner then ordered the burger and fries and I ordered a selection of 4 empanadas (2 chopped cheese, 1 Korean pork, and 1 vegan esquites). My empanadas were delicious although I didn't care for the esquites one as much as the other three. My partners burger and fries came out cold unfortunately but I was told it had good flavor.Overall, a decent spot if you like beer and activities!”

“Delicious. We are fourteen months in Riverdale, and have been going to the Japanese place across the street ("Palace" is part of its name) but friends told us about Aoyu, and after tonight's dinner we are converted. Fresh ingredients, full of flavor: even the dinner salad, usually a mundane dish of iceberg lettuce, one grape tomato, and orange dressing, was full of fresh greens and a subtle dressing. Edamane: also fresh and salty. I ordered a seared salmon roll and was delighted by the freshness of the fish. My wife loved her salmon teriyaki, a huge portion; my chicken katsu was crisp, not greasy, and so generous. Red bean ice cream and we were done. A very clean place, well-lit, and delightfully friendly young waitstaff. Five stars, no. How about fifty?”

“Everything is great tbh. I love the vegan nac and the sancocho. The mofonguitos are ok but the chickn cheddar sandwich is AMAZING. Pulled pork sandwich is out of this world! The vegan chimi, empanadas, and loaded nachos, are all really yummy. The buffalo cauliflower is my least favorite because the batter just kinda falls off and its more kushy than crunchy. The place itself is tiny but cute and clean and the staff are friendly! The only issue is menu consistency. Sometimes they dont have certain menu items for extended periods of time. Not sure why it just is. One time they sisnt have the vegan mac for a week. They always have the sancocho but today they don't and I'm not sure when they'll have it again. Also the number listed doesn't work, it doesn't even ring. I'd say if you don't see it on Uber Eats they don't have it.”

“A solid pizza stop. I was looking for something inexpensive and on the way from our subway stop to the NY Botanical Garden. I saw Pugsley's pizza on the map and decided to give it a go. It was $11 for two slices of pizza and a diet snapple which worked for what we needed. We ordered, paid, and they brought our food out to us at our table. We got a penne slice and a cheese slice. I wish they had some sort of veggie slice but that's okay. The penne slice was my favorite but that was probably because I had never had anything like it. Pasta on pizza? Revolutionary. “Title: Culinary Bliss Delivered: Karied's Quesadillas & Burgers' Chicken Quesadilla Review Karied's Quesadillas & Burgers has become my go-to for a satisfying meal delivered straight to my doorstep, and their chicken quesadilla is the star of the show. With each bite, it's as if a burst of flavor fireworks goes off in my mouth, leaving me tempted to order more after just one serving. The chicken quesadilla from Karied's is a masterpiece of simplicity and taste. Upon arrival, it's clear that this isn't your average quesadilla. The tortilla is perfectly toasted, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite, while the melted cheese enfolds the tender chicken within like a warm embrace. What sets Karied's chicken quesadilla apart is its irresistible flavor profile. The chicken is seasoned to perfection, offering a savory punch that keeps me coming back for more. Each bite is a delightful symphony of textures, with the crispy exterior giving way to the juicy, flavorful chicken inside. But perhaps the most remarkable aspect of Karied's chicken quesadilla is the feeling it leaves behind. As I finish my meal, I can't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over me, akin to a surge of dopamine. It's a reminder of the power of good food to elevate the spirits and leave a lasting impression. In conclusion, Karied's Quesadillas & Burgers has mastered the art of delivering culinary bliss with their chicken quesadilla. From the first bite to the last, every aspect of the experience is designed to satisfy the senses and leave you craving more. If you're in the mood for a meal that delivers both flavor and satisfaction, look no further than Karied's.”

“Celebrated my 32nd birthday with my home girls and the wait is insane if you're not there all together to be seated so make sure your RSVPs are there when you arrive and you have to arrive on time cause waiting for a table is crazy ...the food was bomb like wow the music and the atmosphere was really good the service was a bit off we would ask for something and get it 20 to 30 min laterParking: If you don't get there 2hrs before your event parking is impossible.Kid-friendliness: Kids were in here to my surprise but only for the birthday brunches and dinners after that they were gone because of the adult night hours”

NYY Steak 1 E 161 St, Bronx Steak House • $$$$

“Had the dry aged strip steak. Cooked perfectly(although med rare might be slightly more well cooked than most like). Food arrived quickly. The garlic butter on top of the steak made an incredible welcome difference. Excellent flavor, great seasonings, and a great mouth feel in terms of tenderness. The only place in Yankee Stadium where I did not feel ripped off. A decent beer is over 20 bucks and this was $57. Don't sleep on this spot.”

“I normally come here with my family, and always leave a tip behind. But today we came in and nobody was really attentive to our table. I do understand that it is a busy place and I do not like to complain at all. But one thing I didn’t like was that as soon as we got up to leave, one of the waiters immediately asked for a tip. Mind you this was a random waiter and was not the one that bought us our soda.. My brother then proceeded to ask if there was an atm & the waiter took us and wouldn’t leave until the tip was given to him. We didn’t want to cause a scene, but it was rude and weird to ask someone for a tip when they weren’t the ones dealing with our table. We understand that people do depend on tips, but if the service wasn’t good I don’t see why a tip needs to be given.”

“The wife and I went here late night. They have a dine in part and takeout. we got the half roast chicken with rice and beans. The food was seasoned well. I've always heard good things from this restaurant from neighbors but never been. The was street parking but they also had a free parking lot across the street. Definitely going to have to go back and try some more of their food.”

“Food was hot and delicious. In an ideal world I would have liked a bit more separation between all the people coming in to pick up food vs dining in. I dined in with my family and had a great time, food was fresh.I liked the paintings on the wall. I would go back again.Parking: Parking meters on block in front of location.”

Jimmy's Grand Cafe 1001 Castle Hill Ave, Bronx Bar & Grill • $$

“Love this place, we don’t go often but when we do we are very pleased. We have only been for breakfast and every time we go, everything is great! Service is great and the staff is very attentive. We need to visit for lunch and dinner options or even drink with the girls. It’s like a diner but upscale. You can have breakfast but also wings and/burger so there’s options for everyone. Always look forward to our next visit. My daughter is a huge fan and we loves going.”
