“Me and my daughter, enjoyed this restaurant so much during our Mommy and Me weekend! The atmosphere was laid back and quite relaxing. The service was superb and the food was so good, we had to order food to bring home. I would give this establishment 6 stars if I could. “The food is good and has been very consistent. The tortillas taste homemade and the salsa is great. I’ve ordered 3 times and I haven’t had any issues other than maybe forgetting my salsa one time. “I went here with my girlfriend. I ordered the Norris plate and she got the carnita quesadillas with a side of rice and beans. I enjoyed my food, and it came out quickly. She also loved her food and she finished all of it. Furthermore, she had the mango and strawberry margarita slush and she liked it; it was a bit strong which was a plus“

“Came to this place 2 years ago and the food was amazing. After 2 years the quality of the food and service hasn’t changed. The oysters are super fresh, the michelada is so good as well. I also tried the steak tacos, birria mulitas, and the quesadillas al pastor. All the food is super fresh. Definitely recommended. A must place to go for.

“SoCal girl’s opinion - the tamales are exceptional. They are large, an entree size for sure and the masa is so fluffy, not dry at all. I made a large order for Christmas. Ordering days ahead, they also made a mild chicken version for children with seasoning but no spice. After the party I froze the leftover ones and reheated them in the steamer and they are still 100.“

“Aguilar’s had a small supply of grocery items so I would give them a call before assuming they will have in stock what you’re needing to buy.

I wanted to purchase an avocado but it was $3.50 each when I went on 11/05/25.

I ended up ordering a Torta milanesa de Pollo the ingredients were well proportioned, tasty and overall a perfect sandwich.

I also ordered an Agua de Jamaica which was perfect!“

“The food was amazing. They are pricey, but delicious. The place is very clean and welcoming. I bought the fish tacos and the birria tacos. It was so good I could get a picture. They both came with a reddish sauce, which was good, and a spicy green sauce, but it did taste yummy in the tacos. Xant forgot the lemon and cucumbers; they were refreshing as well. I bought three tacos each and a chicken tamale, which I shared; it was good. You can check out the menu. The lady at the register didn't speak much English, but she was very nice, and we both understood each other, which was great for me. She smiled and was happy the entire time, even when handling phone calls, walk-ins, and deliveries. They had plenty of indoor seating, beverages, and were kid-friendly, with no dogs allowed, assuming no pets. No outdoor seating, not sure if they have restrooms available for customers. It can be handicap-friendly there was enough space, to fit a wheelchair at an end table. My total roughly was about $45.I also tipped the lady. They do except googlepay, debit, credit, and cash. I was full, didn't feel uneasy, I would definitely purchase again, with no complaints glad I stopped in and tried their delicious tacos.“

“I’ve been craving good Mexican food for ages. This did not disappoint! The flavour is insane. The Quesabrilla are stuffed full. Double wrapped. The consume is delicious. Lick the bowl clean good. Tepache was perfectly fermented. I’m in town to see a few games at yankee stadium upcoming this weekend and happy to pass the food truck when I do. I will definitely be stopping by again! Good value for the food! Just noting I did get the Tepache with the food. And I did get extra lime, cilantro, and onions. I wasn’t expecting them to be as stuffed as they were lol. Definitely wasn’t required, but it didn’t go to waste!“

“My family and I have been ordering from Mama Puebla for a bit and we typically order at least twice a month. It’s one of our favorite local restaurants, and we’ve even chosen it for many of our family celebrations because we genuinely enjoy the food and like supporting local businesses.
Unfortunately, tonight’s experience was very disappointing. Our order included two fish taco meals (one with tostones and one with rice and beans), an order of steak tacos with tostones, and pork chops with rice and beans. After waiting about an hour for delivery, we discovered that only a single steak taco had been delivered instead of the full order.
When we called to ask what happened, the woman who answered immediately dismissed our concern and insisted that we had only ordered one steak taco. We ended the call but called back because we simply wanted a copy of the receipt. I had signed for the order, but I wasn’t given a customer copy, and we wanted to verify that we had only been charged for what we actually received.
Instead of helping us understand the situation, the person on the phone was rude and dismissive throughout the conversation. After about five minutes, she finally texted us the receipt. We even explained that if there had been a misunderstanding when placing the order, we would be more than happy to be clearer next time because we truly enjoy their food and plan to continue supporting them.
What was most disappointing wasn’t the missing food—it was the complete lack of customer service and accountability. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. We weren’t looking for an argument; we simply wanted to know why we received a single taco instead of our full order and to make sure we weren’t paying for food we never received.
I’m attaching photos of what was delivered along with the receipt so others can understand the situation. We still think Mama Puebla serves great food, but we hope they improve how they handle customer concerns because loyal customers should be treated with respect.“

“I’ve been to this place several times. First, the food: it’s amazing and affordable. I get the chicken enchiladas with mole every time. Among the best I’ve eaten. As for the service, the kindest people you’ll ever meet. You feel like a guest in their home. It’s a very humble, small spot you might miss as you walk by it. But you walk in, eat your meal in peace and quiet, take a break. Just a great old fashioned place.

One more thing about the people who run it: I went in one time on heavy meds for a heart condition and forgot my debit card there. Looked for it for a couple days, then realized I’d probably left it here. I walked in and they had it waiting for me, gave it to me with a smile. Give these gentlemen your business.“

“The vibrant, colorful decor creates a fantastic atmosphere. I loved my perfect horchata, the mojitos were delicious, and my son enjoyed his Jarrito. My bistec a la mexicana was excellent, as were my husband’s enchiladas and my son’s birria quesadilla! I would definitely recommend and I will be coming back!“
