La Patrona is described as the best taqueria in the South Bronx. The food is absolutely amazing, flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The tacos are absolutely delicious, and they do not skimp on the meat. The tacos de birria is on the spicy side. The shrimp is well seasoned SO good. The nachos are really good, the flautas are filling, and the quesadilla is big in size. The coconut margaritas are a must-try, and the large hibiscus juice is very refreshing with a slight fizz. The service is perfection, with friendly staff and a sweet waitress. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with great music and amazing vibes that feel like a vacation. The location is very close to the train. Prices are very fair for New York. The only small issues are no complimentary chips and an automatic 15% tip for small groups.
