“This place was down the street from my daughter's house where I was visiting and I had the pleasure of going there several times while in town for the New York Knicks parade! What an awesome atmosphere! Robert, the bartender was so inviting, and even though he had a lot going on with so many other customers, he seemed to handle everything with a smile and enthusiasm! Robert definitely made my time at The Bronx Alehouse a memorable one! Big shout out to Gabriel and Miles who took care of me when I placed my order on two different visits and were both flawless in their treatment of me!
No the manager Chelsea truly helped me to have a great experience and literally knew, my name upon my second visit, which made me feel at home! She also immediately exchanged my food order because I had a slight complaint about the fish tacos without blinking an eye! I will say that the 9% IPA (Unibroue La Fin Du Monde) suggested by Robert what's truly on point and my beer of choice going forward! I also had the medium bone in carolina barbecue and pineapple teriyaki chicken wings with their onion rings, and it was to die for! Then, the next day I had there habanero wings and took those back with me to Tampa, Florida! I am originally from New York City and it's people like Chelsea, Miles, Gabriel and Robert that make me proud to be a New Yorker because of their outstanding service and attention to detail and willingness to put a smile on people's face and also make their taste buds happy! Thank you guys for a great experience and I anxiously look forward to visiting you again next time I am in town!“

​Regina (Reservations): I called on short notice, and Regina was absolutely incredible. She provided prompt, efficient service and squeezed us in without making it feel like a burden. She set the tone for the entire night.
​Stephen (Security): The hospitality started right at the door. Stephen was so welcoming and friendly, making us feel safe and genuinely happy to have us there.
​2. Awesome Bar Service
​We decided to sit at the bar, and Pedro completely blew us away.
​Professional & Polite: He is a master of his craft and has the best attitude.
​Attentive: Our glasses were never empty. He frequently checked in on us to ensure we were good, balancing perfect timing without ever being intrusive.

​The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, but what really sets this place apart is the vibe. The overall friendly energy from the entire staff was incredibly refreshing.

The owner saw us talking outside and came to greet us and offer us outdoor seating since the indoor seating was getting cleared up for the influx of customers! Set the tables and chairs up himself, super nice dude. Bartender was also incredibly nice, alot of funny signs outside lol Overall a great experience. Makes good margaritas that came in a cute Mason jar glass for $14. Had me pleasantly buzzed. 10/10 drinks and hospitality.“

“Shady spot. They will add a service charge/tip without telling you. My bill was $105 and when they ran my card it was $117.50 I could tell from the phone app from my bank. My friend was visibly drunk and they were still giving him drinks and running up the tab.

“The Snug and City Island Diner are true local treasures. They’re owned by the same wonderful people and share a kitchen, but each has its own vibe and hours — and together they’re unbeatable.

The fully loaded chili here is hands-down the best I’ve ever had. It’s rich, hearty, perfectly seasoned, and also shows up in their nachos, which makes them next-level comfort food.

One of my favorite things? They have a secret menu (no longer advertised) with specialty grilled cheese sandwiches and specialty hot dogs — and we absolutely love it. The Tuscan Melt (no onion) is perfection, and the Reuben Dog is unforgettable. With the hot dogs you get two, and you can mix and match styles, which is such a fun and generous touch.

At The Snug, my go-to drink is a black & tan, which pairs perfectly with the cozy, neighborhood pub feel. Over at the diner, my favorite dish is the Corned Beef Hash breakfast — classic, satisfying, and done exactly right.

Beyond the food, what really sets these places apart is the people. Every server is genuinely kind, welcoming, and deeply plugged into the City Island community. You feel like a regular even on your first visit.

“I'm giving it a four star because I did have a good time last night celebrating my sister in law birthday. The Birthday packages are great. Would recommend that for sure. The Dj last night was good, made me dance all night. Surly is recommended for adults only. I was very disappointed that is CASH ONLY Place. Make sure y'all have lots of CASH with you, there is an ATM INSIDE with a $4.85-ish fee every transaction. Keep in mind that after 10pm they charge entrance, have your ID'S ready and they do body check, and leave your coat with a fee.In overall my experience was great.“
