“I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! They paid attention to every detail, whether it was filling our water cups, collecting unused plates and of course they did it all with a warm smile. They were kind, funny and very welcoming. I had a wonderful time! Thank you Yiselle, Estrellita and shorty!!!“

“Needed to get lunch after riding the NYC Ferry for 2 hours. Decided to hit this place up as wifey loves seafood. Was seated right away. Not busy at all.

Ordered the lobster roll and the fried softshell crab po boy. Both came with fries - if you decline the fries you save $1.50. If you change it to sweet potato fries it’s $1 more. We got the sweet potato fries without knowing this until we got our bill.

Either way there was a wait for the food. But it was pretty good. The po boy was seasoned well. The bread that it came on was toasted perfectly and not too much. The sweet potato fries were standard.

As for the lobster roll it was weird in that most places usually offer it hot with butter or cold with mayo. This place it was hot with mayo 🤔 but wifey liked it.

Service was good except for the effort on the upsell to garlic noodles. No thanks.

“I've been visiting Johnny's for over 30+years. Today I went for a lobster roll which replaced the shrimp roll. last year this lobster was so delicious 😋 couldn't wait till the summer. unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. it is not longer on a garlic bun and now served on a plain hot dog bun :( also flavorless! last yr price was $24 and now up to $28 with no flavor and blah bun. please bring back the recipe from years before. thanks“

“We were pleasantly surprised by the food. We asked our waiter if they had fried clams and he looked at us like we were crazy. He said he had no clue what we were talking about. We just chuckled and said it doesn’t matter. When we got our meal to share, we were shocked to see it being delivered in an anchor hocking glass baking dish 😂 The food was really good though 🙃“

“Best fried or steamed fish you will ever have from a store front. And seriously maybe the cheapest. My go to is the fried flounder sandwich, $5 today, sometimes $6 cash for two huge pieces depending upon market price. They give you the tarter and lemon and tons of other condiments and spices to put on yourself, just how you like it, before they neatly wrap it up and bag it for you. I always tip them two bucks. Been coming and thankful for them for the last 25 years when they used to be a block south. There are similar looking joints but none nearly as consistently good as Dyre Fish is. I have tried so many, hoping. It is the oil they dont allow to be used too long and the fresh fish picked up daily at Hunts Point Fish Market. And the prices have barely gone up in all that time.“

I also ordered crab legs which didn't taste very fresh but tasted like they're been frozen. The food portion are good, with your order you get a variety of breads, corn of the to cob which was very good and rice. Also included is coffee ☕ and 🍵 tea. The alcoholic beverages are reasonably priced and mine margarita was great. Our server was great! As well as the others in the surrounding tables you could hear how pleasant, polite and attentive they all were.“

I actually call the restaurant just to get some information and the service over the phone was amazing.. I'm from down south and I know what seafood needs to taste like and the shrimp and fish I had was excellent the shrimp was sweet fried to perfection.. sometimes I'm a little bit nervous ordering seafood through GrubHub or doordash or any of them but actually the delivery process the GrubHub was probably one of the best that I've had and I'm going to normally doordash fan he delivered the food the food was hot when I got it all the condiments was in it that I needed I didn't have to ask for.. I will order again I mean the plate overall was excellent.. I just spent $300 somewhere yesterday that couldn't even compare to what I received today.. I can't wait to order again 😋“

“One of the last Chino-Latino spots in NYC! Best house special fried rice, bbq rib tips, and half chicken in town. I no longer live in the Bronx, but I try and visit every time I come, and it never disappoints. I’ve been going to this spot for at least 20 years and I’m so glad it’s still around! It’s nothing fancy, but the food is good and the price is right.“

lots of people coming in and out; additionally a ton of ubereats / grubhub orders- but the service is quick! a sweet old korean couple run this spot with two other gentlemen manning the fryer where they fry the fish fresh.

their seafood deluxe combo is solid: fried shrimp, whiting fish (i subbed flounder for $1.75 more), imitation crab sticks, and scallop cakes. you have the option of fries or rice; their veggie rice is nice.

if you’re taking it to go, make sure to ask for some sauces on the side!
