“I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! They paid attention to every detail, whether it was filling our water cups, collecting unused plates and of course they did it all with a warm smile. They were kind, funny and very welcoming. I had a wonderful time! Thank you Yiselle, Estrellita and shorty!!!“

Christina’s positive attitude and attention to detail truly stood out and made our dining experience even better. She was knowledgeable about the menu, patient with our questions, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

“I've been visiting Johnny's for over 30+years. Today I went for a lobster roll which replaced the shrimp roll. last year this lobster was so delicious 😋 couldn't wait till the summer. unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. it is not longer on a garlic bun and now served on a plain hot dog bun :( also flavorless! last yr price was $24 and now up to $28 with no flavor and blah bun. please bring back the recipe from years before. thanks“

“We were pleasantly surprised by the food. We asked our waiter if they had fried clams and he looked at us like we were crazy. He said he had no clue what we were talking about. We just chuckled and said it doesn’t matter. When we got our meal to share, we were shocked to see it being delivered in an anchor hocking glass baking dish 😂 The food was really good though 🙃“

“Best fried or steamed fish you will ever have from a store front. And seriously maybe the cheapest. My go to is the fried flounder sandwich, $5 today, sometimes $6 cash for two huge pieces depending upon market price. They give you the tarter and lemon and tons of other condiments and spices to put on yourself, just how you like it, before they neatly wrap it up and bag it for you. I always tip them two bucks. Been coming and thankful for them for the last 25 years when they used to be a block south. There are similar looking joints but none nearly as consistently good as Dyre Fish is. I have tried so many, hoping. It is the oil they dont allow to be used too long and the fresh fish picked up daily at Hunts Point Fish Market. And the prices have barely gone up in all that time.“

lots of people coming in and out; additionally a ton of ubereats / grubhub orders- but the service is quick! a sweet old korean couple run this spot with two other gentlemen manning the fryer where they fry the fish fresh.

their seafood deluxe combo is solid: fried shrimp, whiting fish (i subbed flounder for $1.75 more), imitation crab sticks, and scallop cakes. you have the option of fries or rice; their veggie rice is nice.

if you’re taking it to go, make sure to ask for some sauces on the side!

Ordered shrimp nasket, salmon with garlic noodles, fried red snapper with garlic noodles, mussels and bread and cheese came with it, alongside of a small sakad. The fiid was Buussiinnnn. We ate the shrip basket before qe keft on the side counter. It was amazing. The portions were huge; it lasted us two days. We inky spent 150.00 dollars and it was worth it. “Brooke and Anna made my 60th birthday extra special at Hard Rock. My wife and I stopped in for lunch before taking a tour of the stadium. Brooke was our server and was fantastic. She told us to come back for a drink at the bar after the tour and before the game. We did. Brooke had reserved us two seats and the atmosphere was great. Another server named Anna found out it was my birthday and brought me an ice cream Sunday with a candle, Had the whole place sing Happy Birthday to me……Brooke and Anna really made my day. “I walk by this place all the time. I literally watch them gut everything out the old place and open up. But I never tried any of the food until today. And the food is good. The prices are regular. The service. It reminds you of seeing your uncles at a old school cook out. It was chill. Its a made to order spot everything is fresh so if your in a rush i suggest calling to order ahead tho my food was quick. They have nice King crab and Snow Crab. Like i said the prices are regular but I was actually surprised by the quality of the food. Its really good. I expected just to support a black owned business starting out especially because i witness them do little things for the community...but I was actually genuinely pleased with my purchase. I deff will return and give the place a try. I wasnt disappointed....“
