“I brought my daughter for dinner this past Thursday night. I didn't know there was live music. I was a little worried at first that my daughter would find the music too loud but she loved it! The honey truffle Brussel sprouts were so delicious. I can't wait to go back and have it again. We also had the risotto funghi and banana bread pudding....both also very tasty. I also tried the happy jalapeño drink...so delicious and not sweet. Overall a wonderful night out!“
“The best restaurant on Arthur Ave and an absolute gem. The chef is incredible and prices are extremely reasonable. I've has countless items on the menu and specials, and they're all phenomenonal. Go for the veal osso bucco when it's a special, lasagna bolegnese is unbelievable (and surprisingly lighter than most lasagna's), veal dishes are amazing, the calamari and arancini are out of this world, and save room for the Italian ricotta cheesecake! I have been to a lot of great amd iconic NYC Italian restaurants, and none are better than this place.“
“We had a holiday dinner event..I decided to cater food from Los Amigos due to their reviews...how close it was from work. The food was Dedelicious... we all loved and enjoyed the rice... the chicken..wings... Empandas, everything was just delicious!I place we look forward to going on our lunch break now as well!!Thank you for such delicious food!“
“My first time visiting here was amazing Amy the owner & host was so nice & humble & immediately let us know happy hour drinks were 2 for 1 which was amazing, also they had soft shell crab which is usually hard to find, the bartender/server Tolly was amazing as well the drink were so good & strong alot of places water down they drinks but not here, which is most important to me lol. The place is super clean & peaceful I absolutely recommend it & will be coming back. They have happy hour M-F 12-7 ?????“
“This place is a family favorite of mines. Not only is the customer service always great but the food never fails to make me ask for a to-go box. For 5 people we paid $360+ with a tip. I would say this is the best location for seafood in all of city island. There is a reason this place is separated from all other restaurants in CI. Families, couples, even children love coming here. One night, they sang 3 birthday songs in a row. This place is serious business and I wish them well in the future. GEMS OF THE BRONX!“
“Really attentive service. Always checking up on you. The seafood boil was very tasty for 3 lbs with 2 side and extra order of sausage came out to $70. Really good deal. Only complain the music. Same reggaeton on repeat. But definitely will “
“I recently dined at BX Lobster, and it was an exquisite experience from start to finish. The ambiance was charming, creating the perfect setting for a delightful meal. Alina, the owner, ensured every detail was impeccable. The menu showcased a tantalizing array of different dishes that left my taste buds in awe. The flavors were divine, and the presentation was a true work of art. The staff's attentiveness and Alina's personal touch added a special warmth to the evening. BX Lobster is undoubtedly a five-star gem, and I can't wait to return for another culinary journey curated by Alina and her team.“
“Went for Valentine's Day. Service was very great. Risotto was amazing! Great quiet spot with good spacing and room where people don't feel on top of you.Specialty drinks could have been better. Ordered my usual dark and stormy and .y date had the same and it was way better. So get your usual.“
“Went her with my wife on a date night and it was amazing. There was a DJ playing nice old school and new music the food is great service is on point and the servers are very respectful and attentive to your needs. I highly recommend this place to come hang out eat some good food and enjoy yourself.“
“I really didn't enjoy my time here between the bartender having an amazing hand at cocktails to them sure the food tasted fantastic! Hats to their chef. Natalia (or Natasha i apologize for forgetting) was the best. Definitely will return! Their pistachio-ricotta cake was my TOP fav!“
“this place was very good. i got the spaghetti marinara. and it was amazing. i ate everything! big pieces of tomato, garlic, and basil. loved the bread and olive oil for the table. loved the marinated carrots for the table. clean bathrooms. welcoming staff. they had a guy singing different tunes which was cute. the only con is that the service is a bit slow at times. mainly when we wanted the check. we couldn't find out waiter. they have different people to pour water, bring food, take plates away etc. its like we just want to leave now lol. wheres the check? but it was very good and i would come back.“
“D'Melting Pot offers a unique latin flair on classic Jamaican Caribbean eats. I've never seen ackee & saltfish, callaloo & saltfish or oxtail empanadas!! This place has it all! The ackee & saltfish and callaloo empanadas are top tier!! They are bursting with flavor and you will not want to put them down. Who knew these could be so good in an empanada? I've had the whitening combo with fried dumpling and it was okay. I thought this entree could use more flavor. They have a diversified menu including sweet treats like waffles, salads, smoothies and desserts. There's still so much that I haven't yet tried. I can say that the empanadas are totally bomb though so if you try anything be sure to try those!“
“Such a nice spot! Went in for some lunch today. They have a wide variety for their lunch special. We also had pizza as an appetizer. All of the food was great. Their bread was also very tasty. Service was pretty quick and friendly. I would definitely go back for dinner.“
“OMG the cake is fabulous, taste like that cake grandma makes..big slices with homemade buttercream frosting!Okay the Catfish was fried to perfection. They had made the cabbage, very well seasoned. There frozen strawberry hennessy colada was good as well..yeah I am going back ?“
“Been coming here since the 80's as a kid and must say the food never changes. If you are in the mood for fried seafood, you came to the right place. There is also steam option also. There is a special place in my heart for this place. Tarter sauce is the truth. Enjoy all.“
“Besides the City Island "classics", newish Seafood Kingz is poppin. Black-owned restaurants don't span the width in the area- so this Seafood+Southern spot is all the rage. Plus this place comes highly recommended as our friend's daughter invited us to celebrate her dad's b'day- and it's his favorite restaurant. I'm not the best Southern food judge because I don't eat poultry, pork, beef, collards traditionally made with smoked meat or things like that- but the reviews about Kingz, was all we needed. Enough said. Kingz layout is rectangular with the bar to the left, tables when you soon walk in and booths up the steps in the back. Walls are done in royal blue and the music is a nice mix of R&B classics, Sade, etc. Service was patient and we didn't feel rushed. Aside from the 2, 3 or 4 fried chicken items on the menu, Kingz focuses on seafood and serves Southern comfort sides such as yams, potato salad, rice mixed with beans, etc. Some of the standout dishes include Fried Catfish and shrimp dinner, Shrimp & Chips. Hell, for me, all the seafood sounds stellar. As was my steamed Salmon and Broccoli. The result was spectacular: perfectly cooked salmon that is tender, moist, and flavor-packed with just the right amount of Old Bay and hubs enjoyed his fried catfish and shrimp in all its glory. And by the way, portions are big. These folks have achieved a crispy battered coating without allowing the inside of the fish to become dry. It was perfection. Kingz has a strong following and we can see why.“
“I'm from Brooklyn and whenever I'm in the area I make sure I go there whether it steam or fried ? the food and service is wonderful. Though you can't purchase food at all with your EBT card it is still worth the bill.UCL kinda food“
“I've been dining here since the new Yankee Stadium was built. Food is always great, service is exceptional and the atmosphere bis always chill. On this day, I was invited to a business lunch and I normally don't order the steak but I took a chance. Not a great choice. Steak was subpar. I always order my steak medium. It wasn't flavorful. Green Beans and Yukon Mashed Potatoes were ok. The problem was everything came out the kitchen lukewarm and not hot. I've had plenty of steak from different restaurants and this was probably the worst. Outside of this experience, I always enjoy my time there. I hope they see this review.Wheelchair accessibility: It's in Yankee Stadium and there's a ramp there for Wheelchair access.“
“Love the Food & the person who Takes the orders is Pleasant, I live on Gunhill& been here a few times just for the food.. I had ~ Wings,General Tso chicken ,fried pork Dumplings ,egg fried rice in all the orders. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!! I will return for sure.Parking: There’s a parking lot front in front. Also street parkingKid-friendliness: There’s space to sit & eatWheelchair accessibility: No steps. Which is great!“
“OMG ! The food was amazing ? no wait, valet parking, beautiful cozy environment, the server went above and beyond, and is bilingual which is also a big plus. Huge and creative drink menu. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Worth every penny.Parking: Don't worry about parking. They have it covered“
“This place is a gem . If your looking for authentic Spanish food, then you must come here. 915 St. John's Avenue in the outskirts of the South Bronx. Alcapurrias and pastelitos that will have your mouth watering and wanting more. Definitely feels like a real Latino experience. Not a fine dining location , but if your humble and want to enjoy possibly the best alcapurrias and pastelitos in the Bronx , if not in all of NYC then you should definitely check this place out .“
“THE LOBSTER BOIL WITH CRAB LEGS LOBSTER TAILS AND PRAWN SHRIMP ? WAS EXCELLENT PRETTY FAR BUT WORTH IT YOU CAN ORDER AHEAD ? TRY THE SPICY IF YOU LIKE THAT OR CAJUN...GOOD PRICES NICE COZY SPOT. SEAFOOD AT ITS BEST ??Wheelchair accessibility: WHEELCHAIRS CAN COME IN AT STREET LEVEL“

“Juicy King Crab Express is an absolute gem! I've tried nearly everything on their menu, and I've got zero complaints. The flavors are out of this world, and the portions are incredibly generous. Every bite is a taste sensation that never fails to hit the spot. One thing to note is that ordering ahead of time is a must, as the food does take a bit longer to prepare. But trust me when I say, it's well worth the wait. The anticipation only adds to the excitement of digging into their delicious dishes. From succulent crab legs to mouthwatering seafood boils, Juicy King Crab Express has mastered the art of seafood cuisine. It's no wonder they've earned the title of being "goated" in my book!If you're craving top-notch seafood served with a side of unbeatable flavor, look no further than Juicy King Crab Express. Your taste buds will thank you!“
“Good service, very clean, friendly staff also good food. Majority of the items are pricey but that’s because seafood is expensive so it is logical. Certain items are budget affordable thought depending. I ordered the seafood pasta, chicken tenders, fries, hush puppies, fried shrimp, onion rings, lemon pepper fries, lobster tots etc and it was delicious and super yummy. I’ve been coming here for more then a year since it was first opened and I honestly love it.“
“Was in the area visiting and stopped by on a Friday early afternoon for lunch. We were greeted warmly and sat down immediately. The young lady tending to us was very nice. We all enjoyed our meals: order of al pastor tacos, chicken quesadilla, and steak burrito. They also give complimentary tortilla chips with salsa. The salsa is good - a little on the sweeter side but so good. If ever in the area again, I will definitely come again!“
“Went here for brunch with my friends.... and it was absolutely delightful. Waitress was on point with service and we got a great deal with their lunch specials. You get an entrée with a soup or salad and side AND dessert. The complimentary garlic bread was heavenly. The price was reasonable. Don't forget to pick up a complimentary red delicious apple on your way out the door. I will definitely be back.“
“Enjoyed a family night out (party of 8). There was only one host/server. He did a good job attending to our party even though there were several other tables and just him. Only gave 3 stars because they didn't have one of the sauces on the menu that we wanted, the lemon pepper sauce wasn't good, the pasta 3 people ordered needed more seasoning, and we couldn't purchase a bottle of the wine we wanted. Other then that everyone else enjoyed their food.“
“I recently discovered this spot and I've been there a few times. The last time was 2 weeks ago. I went to an event called Lemon Drop Thursdays and the Lemon Drop drink was delicious. I went for brunch 2 times before that and the food was delicious and the service was great but it's really busy on a day that is crowded. The atmosphere was excellent and the DJs that be there play the best music. It's a really dope spot!“
“Hands-down, one of the best Chinese spots left in the Bronx. Is sad to say many other great spots have closed down this one I believe now holds the crown. Great tasting old-school Chinese food at decent prices.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps“
“Portions were "way over the top ". Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal, staff was very attentive. .YOU GOTTA GO!!!!!Parking: Parking is direct across the street from restaurant free valet parking with stamped parking ticket from restaurant.“
“Seafood mixer had a wonderful variety of fresh seafood and vegetables to select from. They have so many options, like steaming or bringing your seafood home to cook yourself. I am a repeat customer and the food is always on point, the staff is consistently pleasant & friendly! The service is perfect! Food not over seasoned! The restaurant is always CLEAN! I have yet to have a bad experience. They also catered an event I had and my guest were so pleased with how good the food taste they can see the freshness! Again, seafood mixer is AMAZING! it's my families favorite place to eat.“
“This place is great. The fish is amazingly fresh and the steamed fish and vegetables are really really good. The customer service is awesome and they speak both Spanish and English. AND THEY’RE ON DOOR DASH TOO! Make a trip out to them it’s definitely worth it.“
“The picture is from after I started eating, but it was plated beautifully, was delicious. The music is quite loud so try not to sit next to the speakers.Service was great just a little hiccup where we were charged and given the wrong receipt for a different table. Other than that it's great and I recommend going there, all the food was great and nothing was too sweet or salty only just right!“
“ALL of the fried foods I have eaten at Seafood House 2 were extremely tasty in their own right. But, the grilled options at this restaurant are exactly what I need for health reasons and THEY ARE PHENOMENAL! So ENJOY...And THANKS Seafood House 2 for the choice of healthier options!!!Tracy JonesVegetarian options: The vegetables are delicious and the mild seasoning has just enough kick in itself. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible for people who have disabilities, like me with my cane. Thank you Seafood House 2 for your consideration and GRACE!“
“I have been coming to the seafood place for years ever since I was, and I think seventh grade. It hasn’t changed much. It’s very no-frills;basic; functional. However the seafood is top-notch for a hole in wall spot amazes me in New York City has a hole in the wall spots always seem to have the best food this place. The food is pretty good the customer services to the least functional straightforward and they get the job done well, my friend.“
“I ate at this place for the first time today. I usually go to the place around the corner on E. 188th Street. However, that place closed on December 2022 with the owner retiring.I bought the 4 Chicken Wings and Rice Lunch special and it was delicious. The wings were GIGANTIC and juicy. The rice was splendid. I will definitely return when I am back in the area.“
“4 years ago we moved in to this neighborhood and knowing we would have a pizzeria near by was even better. And since 4 years ago I’ve been buying pizza with this amazing people, my kids love their penne a la Vodka with grilled chicken, also their (pineapple pizza that’s how my son call it). This spot is my grab and go when I not in the mood for dinner lol. Wish you many many years more and keep up the vibe !“
“Hands ✋? ?? DOWN the BEST Jamaican food in the Bronx! Small in size, colossal flavors though, great selections, excellent customer service, and incredibly tasty food. The portions are insane in comparison to quantity, well beyond worth the money. Small plates to catered trays, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They're cooking on the premises, and it's magic ✨️ ?? Gotta be.. Pictured is a medium Whiting meal ??$14 ... a medium!“
“The food is great and at a very affordable price, the last time I came here it was great and not to mention super quick, the best chicken and the fries are amazing but the only negative part was that one time I went and because there is a nail polish shop next to it, it smells a little funny.Vegetarian options: SaladDietary restrictions: NoneParking: Kinda hard to findKid-friendliness: The people are very niceWheelchair accessibility: Ramps“
“I went back to my old stomping grounds yesterday to enjoy some salsa and good Spanish food. It's been quite a while since I've been back, but I used to party in this neighborhood including Willie's and a few other spots back in the day. Upon entering the place I was greeted so warmly it felt like I'd never left. The people were so friendly and happy to see me that I felt right at home. The crowd is a mix of young and old but the old timers enjoy themselves as much as the younger ones. They love to dance. I enjoyed some good drinks and some apps and celebrated a good friend's birthday. This place makes some great food, the steak in the platanos rellenos was so tender and flavorful I couldn't stop eating them. Parking in the Bronx is tough but I think the police know this place so well they don't bother the cars doubled parked in front of the restaurant. We found a spot right at the door and got in and out without a hitch. A great night in the Bronx.“
“Anna, our bartender on duty was incredibly amazing with her personality and attention to detail when it came to the drinks that were requested. During my time of dining, she ensured that everyone was comfortable and the drinks are completely to die for. Highly recommend, and would strongly urge consumers to ask for Anna.“
“I’m a regular here and they know me and my husband in here I crave their food pregnant or not but I’m always eating here I always get the reel catch or large catches. Between it all it’s all amazing. I definitely recommend you try them you definitely won’t be disappointed.“
“I’ve been coming here 20+ years, and the food never disappoints! It’s been the same recipe since my childhood memories because the cook has been there that long. Awesome staff and food.My to go order:Chicken Broccoli with carrotsSpicy, light on the sauceVegetable fried or your choice of riceSometimes crispy friesNever fails to get lunch or dinner down the blockEnjoy!“

“YOU NEED TO ORDER FROM MISS LORETTA ASAP!! I called at 5pm on a Thursday, this is a family owned business and is not a fast food spot. You WILL get a home cooked meal here.I was looking for a TRUE southern Mac and Cheese and that's exactly what I got. Miss Loretta informed me that a big pan had to be ordered at least a day before, and I didn't mind. But she did call me back to say she could accommodate me and it would be ready by 8 pm! Upon pickup it was super fast and efficient. The gentleman who delivered it to me was so sweet the whole experience was just wonderful. From the call to the last bite of the Mac and cheese.HONEST REVIEW: Mac and Cheese 10/10, every noodle was seasoned to perfection, and you can see the black pepper. The ingredients were balanced so well with SO MUCH CHEESE.What I loved it that you didn't get tired of eating it which tends to happen with some Mac and cheeses. Sometimes it all starts to lose its taste and honestly with every bite I was transported to flavor town.Pros:Family ownedBlack ownedSupport the community Cons: Might be hard looking for the building number but if you are parked right in front of the key food, just move up a little past keyfood and it's that first apartment building on the right“
“If I lived closer to this place, I would probably eat here a few times / week. It's really healthy if your fish is steamed, too...I ordered...I can't even remember what it was. I just saw a filet of fish, the it in a white basket, and added some broccoli, carrots and string beans, and paid $10.39. AND THEY SEASONED & STEAMED IT FOR ME, no extra charge. The fish was perfectly cooked, moist and flaky... though this cut fish was bony. It needed a little more salt too, but that's just my preference. If you like good fish, check this place out. It took about 10 minutes to steam the fish.“
“This is an overdue review! My family and I experienced an evening at Vistamar Restaurant in City Island on Saturday, March 30th. It was my dads birthday and it was our first time back at City Island in YEARS!Angel was our server and he made sure everything was to perfection! I am so pleased with the food! My mom and sister were happy with their drinks and the ENERGY of this place is UNMATCHED! SO SO SO SO MUCH FUN! Dancing and lots of laughs! Will definitely be back in the future and will definately continue to recommend Vistamar to the public!! Never knew a place like this existed!Thank you so much Angel and the staff at Vistamar for giving my family a great evening to remember!“
