“Had to do some Easter shopping so hot this place up . Been wanting to come here. Really cute place when you walk in its like being in a bistro in Italy . Started with clams Orengenata they were so fresh with a creamy lemon sauce . I had Veal Scaloppini with prosciutto and grilled zucchini and fontina cheese. Omg brown sauce was so good. Veal mostly tender. One piece was little chewy. We also ordered the ravioli special. They were stuffed with artichoke and cheese. Really flavorful and cooked perfectly. Prices very reasonable for the quality ingredients. Waitstaff top notch. Parking is annoying Cant wait to come back.“
“I want to thank the Kingsbridge Social Club for catering our fundraiser event on March 23rd. The food was sooooo good. The chicken parmigiana was delicious. Every one loved the sausage and peppers. The baked ziti was on point. I especially loved the added touch of the fresh basil. Once again thank you.I have also eaten in the restaurant several times and recommended it highly. I recommend the eggplant parmigiana and the chicken wings. My favorites.“
“I brought my daughter for dinner this past Thursday night. I didn't know there was live music. I was a little worried at first that my daughter would find the music too loud but she loved it! The honey truffle Brussel sprouts were so delicious. I can't wait to go back and have it again. We also had the risotto funghi and banana bread pudding....both also very tasty. I also tried the happy jalapeño drink...so delicious and not sweet. Overall a wonderful night out!“
“I just found out about this restaurant a week ago and I've already been back again. The food is slamming and so are the drinks! I had the Caesar salad with chicken in it any the flavor was freaking AMAZING. It felt like I was eating a MEAL and it was just a salad. Omg! My price range was between 50 and 100 dollars bc I had 3 drinks (non- happy hour) with that salad. I loved everything.“
“A nice and quaint restaurant . The service so far has been very good . The chef has been very accommodating to my allergy needs. I cannot eat sauce cooked with basil and even though they do , the chef makes my eggplant and pasta dish with fresh tomato sauce. I've been to several Italian restaurants and they will not accommodate my allergy needs and they have every time I go there. I'm very grateful that I can finally order an eggplant dish and enjoy it without having to worry about any food allergies. Kudos to Da Franco & Tony's Restaurant !!!!!!!“
“Just spent several WONDERFUL hours in one of the most comfortable delicious restaurants I've been to in a long time. Not only was the food FANTASTIC but the staff were attentive, friendly and fun to deal with and Joe capped off the experience by making us feel welcome and like family. My pasta fazole, veal saltinboca were SPECTACULAR, my friends said their seafood appetizer was so good they almost didn't order a main course but when I suggested the chicken saltinboca and her husband had a fish dish that brought him memories of his childhood we knew this was truly a wonderful place that we'll have to go back to. And although this review is long I must admit I took home an order of chicken parm and two desserts (tiramisu and chocolate lava cake) it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back. And the chocolate martinis are TERRIFICDietary restrictions: They adjusted the chicken saltinboca for someone who doesn't eat pork and it was still delicious.“
“This was a great pizza place in the Bronx. We enjoyed the food and the service. The owners were friendly and great to talk to. The pizza was amazing and we will definitely return. And FYI the coke fountain machine is not out of order :-)“
“Stopped here for a quick bite. The mussels fra Diavlo were excellent. The sauce hit all the right notes, I finished every bit of it. Just perfect! The menu is rather small, but it was my understanding, that you can ask for different dishes, and they might be able to cook them for you.Great place, will come again if in the area.Parking: It's hard to find a parking in the area, but if you go a couple of blocks from Arthur Avenue, it gets better.“
“The best restaurant on Arthur Ave and an absolute gem. The chef is incredible and prices are extremely reasonable. I've has countless items on the menu and specials, and they're all phenomenonal. Go for the veal osso bucco when it's a special, lasagna bolegnese is unbelievable (and surprisingly lighter than most lasagna's), veal dishes are amazing, the calamari and arancini are out of this world, and save room for the Italian ricotta cheesecake! I have been to a lot of great amd iconic NYC Italian restaurants, and none are better than this place.“
“Warm, Friendly staff who make you feel welcome and at home. Great place to take the family! Great food, not the usual, very distinctive dishes. Best Pizza on City Island.Vegetarian options: If you call ahead, they will have fresh ingredients to order.Kid-friendliness: Staff went out of the way to engage with my six-year-old Granddaughter.“
“I have been to Enzo's a few times and the place is very nice, the waiters are very nice and friendly, the food is excellent, and it is in a good location. The only thing I don't like too much is that the food is a la carte, and you end up spending so much money; verses other restaurants that you pay one amount and you get basically the same food you get their, however it's up to the individual. But I would recommend Enzo's cause the food is great. I love their Veal Parm it is very tender and you do get a nice portion“
“Delicious calamari and various seafood, vegan, meaty, we-seasoned authentic itlaian food options. Served my family of 6. Service was impressive. Family friendly / accommodates for children and adults/ credit-cash/ discrete bar/live tv options on screen. Attentive staff. Will be back soon!“
“Rob, Toniann, Maria and the staff went above and beyond for my mom's memorial service..all messages and questions were answered promptly, food was beyond delicious. we had family style and everyone loved all the choices..next time I want eggplant that comes close to moms, I'm going to orricos!“
“I adore this place. I have ordered the margarita pizza with broccoli for delivery many times, and it's probably the best pizza I have found in the Bronx. Wood-fired, soft yet grilled crust, fresh mozzarella, really good tomato sauce, and generous with the toppings. Dining in is also a great experience -- it's warm and homey inside, and you feel like you have left the grind of daily life and are settling in for a festive, really good meal. Doesn't feel like an Americanized Italian restaurant but rather a small pocket of Italy in the Bronx. As for the rest of the menu, top notch Caesar salad, really good banana bread pudding, scallop/lentil appetizer is good but best to share because it can be a lot of the same flavor and filling for an appetizer. Must try place in the Bronx!“
“Went to F&J Pine with my wives for my birthday. Place was packed with family & friendship. Had a delectable spread of seafood, Zuppe de Pesce, Calamari Calabrese, & Penne a la Vodka. Ate like king & queens!! *Chef's kiss* 10/10 recommend. Bring a friend & stellar vibes.“
“I really didn't enjoy my time here between the bartender having an amazing hand at cocktails to them sure the food tasted fantastic! Hats to their chef. Natalia (or Natasha i apologize for forgetting) was the best. Definitely will return! Their pistachio-ricotta cake was my TOP fav!“
“Went for Valentine's Day. Service was very great. Risotto was amazing! Great quiet spot with good spacing and room where people don't feel on top of you.Specialty drinks could have been better. Ordered my usual dark and stormy and .y date had the same and it was way better. So get your usual.“
“This place is a well-kept secret - an 'old reliable,' if you will. Food is consistently good; even travels well; have ordered & catered from here several times - it's always on point! Service is friendly & attentive. Always an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend ?Vegetarian options: Eggplant Parm, Pasta Primavera, Beet Salad, Zucchini Sticks, Mesculun Salad“
“Exciting to have homemade pasta in this neighborhood. The food is seriously good, and while it's not "cheap" it is much less expensive than similar quality food in other neighborhoods. Great wine selection and creative desserts to boot. Basil creme brulee was a pleasant surpriseVegetarian options: Pesto gemelli and squash ravioli are amazing“
“We are huge fans of Italian restaurants along Arthur Avenue and we will surely return to San Gennaro Trattoria over and over again. The food was top notch, fresh, delicious. Friendly and professional service, charming ambiance. Pasta cooked perfectly and whole branzino probably the best we've ever tasted. We look forward to returning and enjoying many more meals at San Gennaro and will recommend this restaurant to friends and family.“
“Such a nice spot! Went in for some lunch today. They have a wide variety for their lunch special. We also had pizza as an appetizer. All of the food was great. Their bread was also very tasty. Service was pretty quick and friendly. I would definitely go back for dinner.“
“OMG some of the BEST Italian food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Calamari so light crispy & tender. The Frutta di mare seafood pasta was perfect fresh fish, al dente pasta & the red sauce, soooo delicious. The wife's chicken fettuccine Alfredo was very tasty made with fresh cream & perfectly grilled chicken. Our waiter & the staff were very accommodating, he blessed us with complimentary deserts that tasted like they came from the finest bakery. Will definitely be visiting again & next time with friends/family & a big appetite ? P.S. drinks were tasty too.“
“this place was very good. i got the spaghetti marinara. and it was amazing. i ate everything! big pieces of tomato, garlic, and basil. loved the bread and olive oil for the table. loved the marinated carrots for the table. clean bathrooms. welcoming staff. they had a guy singing different tunes which was cute. the only con is that the service is a bit slow at times. mainly when we wanted the check. we couldn't find out waiter. they have different people to pour water, bring food, take plates away etc. its like we just want to leave now lol. wheres the check? but it was very good and i would come back.“
“Visited twice so far and we will be back ! Great homemade authentic Italian dishes. Felt like we were eating at my Italian grandmas house again- felt like the same plates she would use. Cool, old world vibe - friendly and welcoming staff. Love when it feels like they are genuinely happy to have you there. Priced fairly, quality meal. No left overs we ate every bit plus a few apps, bottle of red and a coupla shared desserts.“
“Best kept secret in N.Y.Been eating everything here , in all its vast varieties for over 20 years .They make the best shrimp Parmigiano heroes in NYC .. .driving a yellow-cab , I've tried others allover NYC , and that includes Brooklyn , where they have great pizza spots ?“
“A little off on my order but Mark made it right and hey things happen but will still continue to come here….really best Italian in Tremont really is!!! Thanks again, woulda loved the burrata on top of margarita pizza as we always have but this time no burrata but A+ in the plain margarita!“
“Legendary is an awesome spot. Came here with my gf and her friend and we love it so much that I’m leaving this review while I’m still here!Beers cold and foods hot!Frank the owner is super friendly and welcoming. First time going here and all the other people at the bar said they’ve loved this spot since it opened 13 years ago. Food came out quick and was tasty and also not expensive. Definitely coming back“
“Very great quality yummy pizza the cheese beef patties are delicious too gives you an authentic 90s Bronx pizza flavor. it’s definitely a shame they don’t do delivery through Uber eats it’s pick up in store only. I’d support them more with my business if they start doing deliveries“
“The best Italian food in the area! This is the only place I would consider taking a real Italian to. My family has been coming to Dominick's for over 30 years, and the food quality has never dipped once. We are friendly with most of the servers and always find something to chat about with them. The ambiance used to be more bare-bones years ago. They spruced it up with pictures on the wall and other decorations sometime in the 2000s. Otherwise, this is the same wonderful restaurant we have always cherished. We have brought all of our friends and family here. My favorite dishes are fish francese, veal francese, chicken scarpariello, seafood salad, seafood pasta, stuffed artichoke, and chicken cacciatore. The olive oil they serve with the free bread in the beginning is also above average.“
“This local gem offer an incredible vegan option! Their vegan cheese pizza blew my mind. Classic NYC pizza taste but with a vegan twist. It's close to my house too. Fantastic service. The servers are friendly both on the phone and in person. My questions were answered and my pizza was ready on time. When I got home, it was still hot and delicious. A pie worth every penny!!!Vegetarian options: They offer pizzas, breads, and salads.Dietary restrictions: They offer a vegan cheese pizza pie.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere.“
“From the outside, this place does not look like anything special. It just look like a cheap pizza joint, but believe me, this place is a gem in this neighborhood. The menu is vast and incredible good. I've been going to this place every Friday and my goal is to try every dish on the menu. Besides the food and incredible service, this restaurant let's you bring your own wine, this is a plus. I give this place a 10 out of 10“
“This is a Bronx STAPLE and honestly, my favorite pizzeria. Put it this way, this place has been around for over 50 years and 99% of the people that have ever eaten there could not tell you it's name, yet, EVERYONE knows the place itself. i would say it deserves a spot on any all time classic NYC pizza list because of it's quality and longevity.Tourists, go check it out. It gives you a reason to go north of 125th on the 2 or 5 trains and see part of the real NYC.“
“Awesome tuna tartarVegetarian options: Eggplant Rollatine is masterfully done with ricottaDietary restrictions: Very flexible chefParking: Private parking lotKid-friendliness: Cute dishes and mermaid menus.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps on request“
“The market is an experience. You need to go there to see for yourself. The food is phenomenal. Get pizza, espresso, sandwiches, veggies, and more. You can also get hand rolled cigars. It's a must-see. Take a trip through The Bronx's Little Italy, you won't regret it.Vegetarian options: You can make sandwiches to order. So you control what goes in.Wheelchair accessibility: If you enter from Arthur Ave, the market is on the first floor. Easy to maneuver. Some of the isles can be tight, but not impossible to get through.“
“I was skeptical to order here at first but I had one of the best grilled ham & cheeses in my life haha and it was delivered. I'm impressed. Also, their chicken bacon lettuce on garlic here is really good. Can't comment on service and ambiance, however I will be ordering from here again.“
“Went when they first opened just for the pizza and it was just ok, however just went back and sat in the dining room the other night for dinner and was very happy with everything we had. The food was excellent. The dining room is very nice and comfortable and the service was prompt and friendly. The food portions were great and we enjoyed our family dinner immensely. The generous wine pour was also a huge plus! We would definitely go back again.“
“Best in the Bronx very nice welcoming staff pies are cooked to perfection and their selection is huge. Been going to for years before they even opened the restaurant next door. If you want quality and the best in the bronx this is it.P.S. anyone 1 staring these guys don't know what they're talking about or are bad customers.“
“My favorite in all of Tri State & Westchester my apologies but they rock.Vegetarian options: Cheese Pizza speaks for itself ??♂️Kid-friendliness: Owners are great with everyone very family orientedWheelchair accessibility: Not hard to move around“
“Excellent meal. Cozy space. Understated. Warm. Delicious food. Big portions. Thought I'd eat half of my chicken parm (which Cathy, our friendly server, promised was top notch) but I ate the whole darn thing. (Cathy was right.) Hubby had the salmon special - just the right amount of heat to make it special. Both came with spaghetti and their sweet and tangy tomato sauce (gravy!) Salmon dish came with salad - simple yet just right. Perfect meal. Will come back as reggies.“
“Recommended by my coworker who knew the Bronx very well and when he told me they had the best wings, I trusted him. Yes I was right to trust him. Wings were great! Parmesan garlic was the flavor we chose. Had to try their Buffalo chicken slice and garlic knots which were both fantastic. The bf ordered eggplant roll which wasn't my favorite but still good. Overall, great prices and surprised that it was not packed. Definitely will be back again!“
“I had this order delivered to me via Doordash, and the personal pizza tasted very good to me but was a little thicker than I'm used to in personal pies (I left half for my brother), but I'm surprised that a pizza joint offers steak and the T-Bone I had was better than steaks at some diners I've been to, it had a good sear and good seasoning, the salt and pepper was visible. I wasn't a fan of how it was plated, it was laid atop of the mashed potatoes. The steak was very good with Peter Luger steak sauce which I have, and the mashed potatoes needed something, which i added melted butter to fix. I wonder if the steak was placed in the tray without resting first...I requested medium rare and looked medium well. But, I was overall pleased with my large dinner. This is gonna put me right to sleep! Thanks Luna“
“Went here for brunch with my friends.... and it was absolutely delightful. Waitress was on point with service and we got a great deal with their lunch specials. You get an entrée with a soup or salad and side AND dessert. The complimentary garlic bread was heavenly. The price was reasonable. Don't forget to pick up a complimentary red delicious apple on your way out the door. I will definitely be back.“
“Bronx Native and this pizza is certified delicious .Ordered my pie at 11:50pm on 3/18/24 for my wife and I and it was ready at 12 am. Pizza was gently put in the box with string. The young man at the counter asked me if I would like additional seasonings even after the box was closed . Listen I’ve been eating pizza in NYC all my life and not once has anyone ever asked to help with the seasonings especially in how late at night it was. I was super surprised and glad that he cared enough to ask. It’s a family atmosphere in here and I will be returning. Crust has that light soft fluffy taste. pepperoni was cooked to perfection and the cheese and sauce was fresh with a hint of garlic notes on the taste buds. Do yourself a favor order a pie you won’t regret it.“
“Wait staff are delightful and playful. Food is delish! The sangria…. Let me tell you about the sangria. Don’t underestimate the sangria. Very good though. Customers can be rude but if you like the vibe and can chill then block them out. It’s the Bronx baby it’s all about the love and “
“The food was spectacular. Our server, hostess, barmaid and valet were truly the best. They all deserve to be recognized on great customer service. The hostess came to our table well after we paid and asked us politely if we wouldn't mind moving to the bar. I understood the reasoning for this completely. The manner in which this was done was very professional. I know there are people that have a problem with this. We are not one of those. It's all in the way it is handled which was very professional. We did go to the bar and the staff was kind enough to offer us a drink for understanding. We were pleasantly surprised by this and very grateful. We appreciated the parking instructions sent by the restaurant. It made it so much easier knowing in advance what to expect. We made a long trip from Long Island and look forward to returning.“
