“These are larger than normal sized slices! Don't let the first glance fool you. They're thin and crispy and another review said they're not as salty or greasy as other places and I 100% agree. Our chicken calzone was HUGE but perhaps John thought we didn't have enough food. The chicken wasn't flavorful but the marinara that came on the side was real nice. John and his daughter-in-law (?) were so attentive - extra napkins and forks for the kids, offered to rewrap our calzone to go, some little candies to go. As for ambience, you're not coming in here for that but with 2 kids, you don't need that. But if you're looking for the nostalgic pizzerias from back in the day, this is it. Just missing an arcade system. Also heads up, cash only.“

“We had our wedding at Rialto and couldn’t imagine a perfect ceremony and reception.

Dominic and the Rialto team were incredible. Super attentive and went out of their way to make sure our day was as special as can be.

We have no idea how but they managed to make sure the food was always fresh and hot when served, even the branzino, which is not easy to do all at once for ~75 people. Seriously impressive.

They really outdid themselves and we will definitely come back to Rialto for dinner which now holds a special place in our hearts. ❤“

“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. “A close walk from the Met. We went on a Friday night and asked for an outdoor table (our reservation did not indicate either inside or out). Service was wonderful. We started with the meatballs which were good, but it was only 4 small meatballs. I enjoyed the Rigatoni with Sausage and Mushrooms. The fettuccine with beef ragu was also good, but missing a little something. The cannolo for dessert was a highlight.“

“I love this place! Came here with a group of 11 at 1PM on a Sunday for brunch and it was all of our first times. The bottomless special is likely one of the best I’ve had in the city. $45 for 90 minutes of brunch drinks plus an entree.

To eat we had chicken and eggplant parmigiana, carbonara, banana bread french toast, and the frittata. The chicken parm was defintely the star, I think 3-4 of us ordered it. Drinks were excellent, the tropical fizz was the best of the options but can’t go wrong with any of them.

Shoutout to Florin for accommodating my group and helping me have one of best birthdays I’ve ever had. He also served us and made the drinks, he does it all! I’ll definitely be coming here again to check out the happy hour specials and dinner.“

“By far the best Italian in Astoria. Yes, it's very pricey (full on Manhattan prices) but it's a rare instance where you're paying for real quality.

Mushroom risotto with truffle was excellent, perfectly al dente, and not overpowering with the truffle. The ravioli were super delicate and definitely made fresh in house. Pricing at $32 and $38 is pretty nuts for a plate of pasta, but they were very good.

For appetizers, the calamari was clearly fresh, lightly breaded, and perfectly fried, and the meatballs were moist and tender.

Timing between the courses was great; enough time to digest and enjoy the meal with no rush.

Dessert - tiramisu and panna cotta - was fine but nothing special and overpriced at $14 a pop. I'd skip it next time.

All in all an excellent, albeit very expensive, meal and without a doubt the best Italian in Astoria.“

“Verana is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Bergen County. The food is consistently incredible, from the homemade pastas to the perfectly cooked seafood and steaks. You can really tell there’s attention to detail in every dish. The atmosphere feels upscale but still warm and comfortable, and the service was professional without being pretentious. “The staff were incredibly kind. I didn’t realize the branzino was breaded and I’m gluten-free. When I got my dish I let them know of the misunderstanding and they replaced my dish with no questions asked. The manager came over multiple times to check on us throughout the meal and then they brought us a free dessert that specifically fit my dietary restrictions. They went out of their way to make me feel like a normal person without all my dietary issues. It meant so much to me and the food was great!“
