“Absolutely loved our experience here tonight! I am unsure of the hostesses name but she was a doll and clearly had everything running so smoothly. As walk-ins we were even able to pick where we wanted to sit. Juan was our waiter who was such a gem, so attentive but also did not rush us at all. We got the baked clams, veal Marsala and the gnocchi special which were excellent. The manager also came over to say hello which felt very personable. We can’t wait to come back!“

“Wife and I flew into JFK late one Friday. We were famished , it was 1030 by the time we got to Arthur Ave.. We parked and walked , came upon people eating alfresco. We asked if any place was still serving. The "MAN" Vic asked what we would like, from one of the tables. In no time we had a bottle of Vino Tinto in front of us and people were making us try food they were dining on. I felt like I was at my friends ,' THE PIAZZAS " house. “I’ve been to Altamirano’s twice now, and both times the food has been absolutely excellent. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu!

For appetizers, the Oysters Rockefeller and the arancini are absolute must-tries - so incredibly tasty that you'll immediately want a second order. For mains, the Chicken Marsala is fantastic and comes in a very generous portion. We’ve also tried several of their pastas; the bolognese is excellent (they use it in their lasagna too, which is amazing), and their specialty pastas are just so, so good.

Service is also excellent and very attentive.

Bonus tip: Thursday night is BYOB! I highly recommend this spot. I'll definitely be back for more.“
