Cafe Italia is a gem in Hunts Point, offering a fresh food oasis in the middle of the industrial area. The food is amazing, with top notch quality and variety. The sandwiches are off the charts, featuring fresh bread from Arthur Avenue or Madonia bakery daily. The steak mozzarella and pepper sandwich is exceptional, while the La Madrina sandwich is magic. A new cold cut lineup includes soft, creamy mozzarella, Ciao salami with a nice kick, bold sopressata, sweet tender coppa dolce, and next level prosciutto di Parma. In-house roasted peppers complete the pork sandwich. The cappuccino is delicious and comforting, and the avocado toast pairs well with an all natural, made fresh daily watermelon slushy with no added sugar, or a coco piña version. There is also top notch espresso, coffee service, ice cold beer, and a full bar. The place is clean, has chill music, and the best staff with outstanding customer service. They cater events, and truckers and food industry executives know this is the go to place for breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend.
