“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. “This place has the best bagels. Their bagels are so soft and delicious 😋. The scallion cream cheese is perfect. I love the variety of bagels they have and you cant beat the price. They always have a line outside but it goes rather quickly.“

“I have been coming to Charlie's for about 2 to 3 months when I come see my mom at her physical therapy facility and I have to stop and get a slice , my nephew comes on the weekends with my sister and we have to get his pie to go home. It never gets home it's gone in the car.
Great great pizza I must say, it's done to perfection, no drippy sauce no rubbery cheese, just done right. And Charlie and his staff wonderful treatment of us all.

“SoCal girl’s opinion - the tamales are exceptional. They are large, an entree size for sure and the masa is so fluffy, not dry at all. I made a large order for Christmas. Ordering days ahead, they also made a mild chicken version for children with seasoning but no spice. After the party I froze the leftover ones and reheated them in the steamer and they are still 100.“

“Love, Love, LOVE this breakfast spot. I order from here regularly. The food is always fast, fresh and budget friendly. The guy who takes phone orders affectionately refers to us as “The Donut Family” because we usually order the last donuts of the day. What’s pictured here is seasoned waffle fries and a special made burger (bacon cheddar cheeseburger on a glazed donut w/lettuce & tomato). They are open very early. They take cards and cash. The staff is super friendly. Great for delivery but not so great as a dine in spot (they do have a couple of chairs inside but it’s really too small to sit and enjoy a meal without having to move for the incoming foot traffic).“

The cabbage and side items also look good but I just add at home a side and the meal is done. Also the coffee is my favorite in the neighborhood. “I love this restaurant. The food is delicious, meat is tender and flavorful. The employees are kind. They’re very affordable and you get A LOT of food. Definitely would recommend the beef stew and flan, although I’ve heard the quesadillas and tacos are amazing as well.“
