“Mother and daughter day trip to the area. We took a chance and decided to try The Pitt for a late lunch. Wonderful and surprising exoerience. Small place with a big heart!
The gentleman there was obviously a neighborhood treasure. Customer after customer came in and engaged in short but thoughtful banter. He was friendly and made us feel welcomed.
The food was very good! The service was kind, thoughtful and genuine. The atmosphere was warm and homey. Definitely more of a take out or dine and go quick spot with limited seating.
We had the pulled pork sandwich and brisket on a biscuit. You pay for the sides. Coleslaw was included. We got chocolate chip cookies to share. Pricey but delish!
Parking was free and right in front. I have a feeling that parking may vary at different times of day.“

“I tried their Strawberry Shortcake and Hokkaido Cheesecake. I was really craving cakes, and this little spot by the corner of Mitsuwa market hit the spot. My Japanese wife said the Strawberry Shortcake cream tasted just like the ones she used to have in Japan — which says a lot! The sponge was a little dry, but that might be because we bought it later in the day around 6pm.
Overall, the place feels very authentic. I haven’t tried their breads yet, but I’m looking forward to coming back for the melon pan next time!“

“This is my must visit spot for authentic Japanese ramen 😋 Their Toroniku ramen is alway delicious. The soup base is hands down. The snowy pork is juicy and tender. The condiments are in very generous quantities and fresh! Highly recommended!!“

“*Cash only.
Great Japanese dessert store inside Mitsuwa. Love the red bean Taiyaki. It has abundant filling and outside is crispy.
The staff is quick and nice. She already made some for the day so literally no wait. If not, prob take 5-10min to make a batch. It smells really good. There are seats and tables around from the food court if needed.“
