I had passed by Los Tacos No. 1 several times, but the line was always so long that I never stopped. This time, maybe because the weather wasn’t great, there was hardly any line, so I decided to give it a try.

And wow—it was so, so good! The tacos were absolutely delicious. Now I understand why there is always a line here.

“This place is truly a hole in the wall! In the best way! My son recommended us this Italian wine bar with real candles, lighting the entire restaurant and with a very romantic ambience upstairs! The food was phenomenal, our waiter was friendly and the wait staff was quick! I must say the hostess was a bit distracted when we arrived, while she was sitting on a table by the entrance on her phone. I think that looks unprofessional for “the face” of the restaurant. They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. It was one of the best brunches I've ever had, but what made it even more special was Joey the owner overheard our story, knowing we had a rough morning, and gifting us one of his comfort food cookbooks! The day couldn't have been any better. I can't wait to try one of his delicious Italian recipes this holiday season. I highly recommend the Little Owl. I certainly will be going back in the future!“

“Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“

It doesn't have fancy decor, nor does it serve mind-blowing dishes with flavors you can't find anywhere else.
However, their food is very wholesome and down-to-earth, without the heavy oils or excessive salt used to aggressively hook a customer's palate.
The prices are also very affordable—I imagine people working nearby frequent this place often.
I'm a delivery truck driver, and whenever I pass through this area, I make sure to stop by.
The elderly owner is Taiwanese and extremely kind, and they also employ some Spanish staff. The overall work atmosphere is wonderful, and I'm certain the owner treats them very well. Dining here gives you a sense of peace that you just can't find anywhere else.
You shouldn't go out of your way just to eat here, but if you happen to be passing by, you definitely have to drop in and check it out.“

Saltenas were rich, juicy, and hearty (start at one end) and the Sopa de Mani is not at all what I expected peanut soup to taste like. think of Rich complex New England clam chowder without the clams. really no peanutty taste at all. the owner was wonderful as well“

“A few years ago, I was hired to write a series of articles about regional Italian cuisine. Since then, I have been looking for traditional Italian gelato. Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. My only complaint is that I live too far away from your stores to get it very often. But about that? My hips are less upset about the distance. :) I will definitely be back, though!“
