“Great place to study until late hours which is what I was looking for and needed. Quiet and calming atmosphere. I had the Passion fruit tea and enjoyed it I went to try the Citron Honey Green Tea that was amazing I loved it. I ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich So so yummy. The mozzarella sticks and matcha crepes loves everything. I found my new study cafe ! Yay“

“After having enjoyed Bersi's eye-poppingly large platters that feed 3-4 people for $20-60 in total, not even Ras's lunch special ($18 bowls) seemed like a good deal. I did prefer the collard greens at Ras over Bersi's though. (Too bad I didn't try the injera at Ras for a comparison.) All that said, I did enjoy the Bole Bowl: the crunchy soy crumbles were a fun textural element, and the avocado injected creaminess into the mix. FYI, they have a couple of beverages with honey: honey wine and hard kombucha. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-08“

“Lovely people, lovely place, incredibly delicious food! Ingredients are very fresh, often from the local farmers market. There are both very creative dishes and classics on the menu. The Queensboro is a special restaurant that not only cares about the quality of their food and atmosphere, but also sincerely cares about the community.Kid-friendliness: Roomy and fun space that is very comfortable for those bringing children. The staff is super friendly with children as well!“

“This is the best pizza I have ever had, nice crisp, light crust with just the right amount of toppings, no grease at all. I live in CT and thought no pizza was better than our New Haven ones, boy was I wrong!!! Looking forward to returning……soon!“

“I took my wife on a date night yesterday. We like fine food and have had some amazing experiences around the world .several Michelin restaurants. First of all our waiter Julio took us on a journey through his description of the food and Sake . Julio paired every meal like painter does color . His direction was outstanding and the food followed with such complexity and fun . We will be back again and again and again . Ask for Julio he paints before the pigments hits the canvas . “Antidote Restaurant totally nails the Chinese food scene! The vibes are cool – a mix of old-school and modern. The menu's like a journey through China, and everything tastes spot-on. “Came here on a Wednesday after work and was able to grab a seat at the bar. Went for the "Busiate Siciliana al Pomodoro" which was a pasta with eggplant. For the affordable price of $26, I got a huge plate of pasta that lasted for two meals. It was flavorful, the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the service was fast. Definitely has more of a finance bro/businessman crowd in there but all the staff were welcoming. Worth trying it out if you're around!“

“Had a very good meal at Thep Thai. Came here on a sunday afternoon, there was no wait, and our waitress (Gift) was very attentive and checked in often even though we sat in a back corner outside. The food was also amazing, some of the best Thai food we had in UES. Definitely would recommend.“

“The best brunch plate that I've ever had. And I don't speak that easily. Felt like I was eating a dinner entree for brunch - in a good way. Duck pastrami hash & poached eggs, caramelized onion, parsley salsa verde & local greens. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the salsa was great. The duck and the hash was other worldly. Tons of duck. In almost a stew of small potatoes perfectly softened. In some type of gravy. Wow. Even the greens are great. Nice light dressing. Almost salty. Service was friendly and attentive. My daughter said her avocado toast was excellent. I don't make it to Brooklyn that frequently but can't wait to go back to this great spot. I didn't drink that day but they had a nice looking and well stocked bar.“

“Scottadito is a cozy restaurant with seating in the front and back of the restaurant. If you want a more intimate setting, opt for the front. If you're okay with a bigger room and dont mind some louder background conversation the back is a lovely choice to sit as well. My fiance and I started off complimentary bread and dipping sauce. We followed that up with the katerina salad which comes with a tart dressing and generous amount of cheese. My personal favorite of the night was the tagliatelle with speck and brie... absolutely cheesy, creamy, heaven. The saltiness from the speck balanced out the creaminess from the pasta sauce. The noodles were thin and almost reminded me of egg noodles. Definitely a one of a kind tagliatelle. My fiance ordered the penne with spicy vodka sauce and spicy sausage. The sausage was broken up into nice chunks and definitely came with a kick. The portions were generous and we left the restaurant stuffed. Scottadito also offers small backyard seating, which I can see it opening up to perhaps a micro wedding for the fall/summer. Will definitely be back for more pasta and to try more dishes. Yum!“

“Went there for the bottomless brunch with some friends. While we had a blast, we misunderstood the bottomless brunch deal: on top of paying for an entree, you can get bottomless drinks for 90 minutes for 30 something dollars, which when you look at it you better be drinking A LOT for it to make financial sense, so be warned.“

“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“

“Their turmeric bun is insanely good. Was lucky enough to catch it right as it was fresh out of the oven and waiting to be glazed. Almost doubled back for another one it was so good (self restraint won).Delicate, flaky, caramelized crust. Fluffy, light, moist pull-apart center. I usually find glazed pastries too sweet, but this one was perfect - just sweet enough to hit the spot but not too sweet that it feels heavy.The balance of flavors is just right. Just a hint of turmeric that isn't at all overpowering.“

“A lovely dine-in bar-restaurant in UWS. I have been there during the happy hours (3:30 to 6 PM) and I would recommend the same. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, best for a group or an intimate date. I would highly recommend the Consulate's Old Fashioned which has Mescal. The French 85 is also good.“

“Good food! Loved the grilled octopus and branzino -- a must try! Lobster pasta was tasty but it was a bit on the sweeter side; I would skip it next time. Focaccia was unique but I think it's a bit overhyped. Overall, service was friendly, food was good, and the ambiance was chill. I would definitely go back.“

“Delicious food and great atmosphere! After a long day of running around it was so nice to sit down and have a great meal where everyone around you is having a fun time! We started out with the Scallion Pancake and Vegetable Dumplings. I don't eat Scallion Pancakes very often because most places don't make it very well. Joe's Pancake was perfection! Cooked just right with layers of flavors. The Dumplings were light and fresh. For our main course we had Chicken with Broccoli and Sauteed Crystal Shrimp. Both were delicious and very generous portions. It was the first time I had had the Crystal Shrimp and I couldn't stop eating them. The Staff was very nice and we felt very well attended to but not overly so. We are really looking forward to returning so we can try some dishes that we have never had before.“

It was juicy without being wet and flavorful. Wepa!!!!Drinks: my buddy got the Tres Leche and I had fomo because that thing was GOOOD. Drank half of hers lol. I got an iced Coquito latte because I'm a sweaty human even in winter and it helped regulate my temp but the taste was just OK. Her drink was hot and I was happy to sweat for it.Note: the iced drinks come in those clear bags with a straw like when Covid started allowing people to drink out of plastic bags from bars. We went to pick her kid up from tennis and I looked like an unhinged day drinker trying to relive spring break.Misc: Stopped by with a buddy to wait for tennis to let out over on 1st ave. Got a chicken Empanada, a Tres leche coffee and a coquito *flavored* latte. ( they have actual spirit infused stuff but i didn't get that).“

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!“

“Yum yum yummm. As a Taiwanese person, I loveeee the basil mayo sauce with the large popcorn chicken. It’s a total delight after a long workout at the climbing gym too. I also reccomend the ru rou fan (marinated pork) on a bed of rice a with half an egg and scallions“

“Had my first dining experience this evening. My friend and I split the tuna tartare - honestly I could easily ravage that plate solo and order another! Then I had the pappardelle….talk about scrumptious! Probably the best pasta dish I have ever had! Then the ricotta cheesecake for dessert. For my cocktail I sampled the Mercutio ( huge plus that they’ve all got Shakespeare names! Love love love ! ) I shall return!!!!!“

“We were staying in Midtown recently and wanted to find an Italian place that didn't feel touristy, and offered "real" Italian food vs. the typical Italian-American fare of spaghetti & meatballs and chicken parm. Il Corso fit the bill perfectly - wonderful food; cozy, elegant environment; and excellent service. We were especially impressed by the creative seafood specials that were available the evening we were there. Prices were surprisingly affordable for NYC, as well - the bill for our dinner of shared app, 2 entrees, shared dessert, 2 espressos, and 2 glasses of wine was only around $160, without tip. Truly EXCELLENT value for the quality of food and the level of service we experienced! We will be back!“

“Been meaning to check this out for a while now and finally got to it, and now I’m kicking myself for not going earlier. Everyone’s right about the Mussels, they’re not to be missed. Burrata and Pork Shoulder Pasta were also a hit. Drinks are creative and tasty! This is definitely a restaurant where you’ll want to go back to try every item. We drove all the way from the Connecticut/Massachusetts border to try the food after reading the reviews. Everything was better than expected.My husband's birthday was made all the more special by this visit.We tried the Mezze Plate, Salmon Kebab, and Chicken Ouzi. Several of the servers need further training in customer service, e.g., asking if everything is okay, refilling water glasses, not disappearing for extended periods, etc. I will be back, but it's now not my go to place.“

The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. “We stopped by Roberta's for dinner after a comedy show. It was pouring out but Roberta's was packed and required a bit of a wait. We were seated in the back area where there was ample seating. We ordered: + Stracciatella: we attacked this appetizer once it came to our table. This dish came with two slices of bread which was enough for the big blob of cheese. + Marinated Olives: these were delicious and were fun to eat with our drinks + Little Gem Salad: this salad was refreshing, crunchy, and delicious. + Margherita Pizza: a basic margherita pizza done well. The crusts were also divulged (that's when you can tell the pizza is good). +Ice Cream Sandwich: we ended our dessert with their recommended sticky bun and ice cream dish. This was delicious and well worth the try. They tried to market it as a cinnamon roll but it is definitely much better than that. The staff was fun. “Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. Really delicious - doesn't even need syrup flavors. The chocolate chip cookie is divine and tastes homemade! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. They have a bunch of other pastries that look delicious as well and I'm excited to try them all! This spot is just steps from the L train at Grand St. Don't miss it! “The best authentic Lebanese food in NYC. A must-try. All there food is fresh and delicious and very generous quantities. Their Shawarma is soooo good, you can eat it in bowl or a sandwich with lots of yummy toppings. I also tried their falafel and it was super good!“

“We stumbled upon this coffee shop and in the Bronx and had to have our second hit of coffee. This cute shop imports coffee directly from Puerto Rico ?? so we knew it was gonna be bomb! The best part was that the coffee comes in a to go pouch and a straw. We order the horchata ice coffee and they also have a whiskey infused option as well that was strong and less sweet in case you don’t like it too sweet. Aesthetically the place was so cute. “The venue is beautifully done. All the staff was attentive and pleasant. We had greek sausage, manouri wrapped in phyllo with honey& sesame seeds to start. The swordfish and mignon kebabs were perfect!!! And the yogurt with vissino(sour cherry) spoon sweets was the perfect way to end the meal. :-)“

I'm not sure how crowded it gets on weekends but walked in on a weekday and there were open tables available. I unfortunately opted for a predictable order of greek salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious and filling and I scarfed down the whole thing. Plenty of olives which is my kryptonite. If you order for takeout note that there is a separate window/entrance where you can pick up.“

“Most food is great (sandwiches, salteñas, drinks, desserts) but certain things (like mac and soup) need SALT. The rice pudding is quite sweet but good if you eat warm. The portion size is laughable though.... like 3.5-4oz. Prices are about $1-2 higher than you expect for each item. Fried chicken sandwich is starting to taste like it's fried in old oil. And on the BLP website delivery is free BUT you are still hit with a $3.50 "service fee", which is the restaurant's for using a delivery service. But on Grubhub+ the same service fee applies AND prices food is higher! So even with free delivery it will be higher. I ended up paying over $40 for food for 1. Service is great, music is great, even if loud. I hope they create a better price point for the neighborhood they serve and make the sides as good as the main stuff!“

“The experience at this sushi restaurant was truly exceptional! Sylvia, our waitress, played a crucial role in making it so. Not only was the sushi of the highest quality, but Sylvia's attentiveness and knowledge added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. “It’s a great themed cafe, good space and the records and a really nice touch. One of the best atmosphere creators for sure. The coffee was broadly average. I got a 7.8 cortado, it had some flavour and nothing offensive in the beans. Overall, nice place.“

“The outside was bright and welcoming with sitting outside. It was quiet inside, I was there before 12pm. Inside was decorated with beautiful glass butterflies . The staff was fabulous, especially my sever Jorge. I ordered the chicken taco. The services was fast eventhough I only ordered 1 Taco. It was one of the fresh and delicious taco I have eaten. I was pressed for time and could not enjoy the atmosphere but will be going back. I definitely recommend this place for a quick bite or a full course meal. Enjoy..“
